Carole met us to check in, showed us round the fabulous house and made sure we were settled. The house and largy garden are the best we have ever stayed in, and all our Airbnb have been very good to excellent. The location is great for exploring Galloway. We had a fantastic holiday.

We really enjoyed our stay at Curlew Cottage. Daniele was so welcoming and friendly that we soon felt at home in the warm and comfortable cottage with everything you need. It is wonderfully peaceful and surrounded by beautiful countryside for walks or relaxing with a good book. We would have liked to have stayed longer and would love to go back again. Thank you Daniele and Bill.

Lovely quaint cottage, both beds extremely comfortable, shower pressure great! Quiet rural location. Unfortunately the weather didn’t favour our planned hiking in the area but it means we will return.

Perfect location. 10/10. I did not want to leave. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, unbelievable views, superb location, easy access to logs for fire with which my husband was delighted. 100% would return... tomorrow if it was possible! Our dog (border terrier) had a fantastic time too and was very interested in the wee hedgehog who appeared to be living in the bushes outside and the free range chickens!! There was also a free range doggo popping round to the garden in the evening. Vigilance/ Lead/ supervision was a must for our super inquisitive pup.

Carmen is a super host, we absolutely loved the home from home home feel. My little boy who is 2 years of age settled to sleep well in the childrens room (this tells me he felt safe in the cottage). The roku stick was available to use and worked easily. The trail at the side if the house has beautiful waterfalls to view and a few stopping spots for those who need to go a little slower/steady or have children. We experienced no issues at all with our stay. Thank you Carmen we will definitely be back again.

Gleamingly clean, beautifully cared for & decorated & well stocked with everything you could possibly need. We only stayed for a 1 night stop over but was very convenient.

Would recommend Black Mesa without hesitation. Great location. Beautiful scenery. Everything as listed. Lovely pub (Kings Arms) 2 minutes walk. Met the hosts who were very friendly

Fabulous house. Less than three minutes to harbour. And right on river. Perfect location. Ian’s instructions and recommendations were very helpful. Check out the photographs on walls. I believe these photos are taken by Hazel. Sadly the Bistro in Castle St is no longer trading. Best to book restaurants. Some only open a few days in the week. Also several shops/attractions close at 4.00pm. Lots to do in Kirkcudbright.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Mark the host gave us super easy and clear instructions to get to, and get in the caravan which made things super easy. The caravan is absolutely stunning, so clean inside with absolutely everything you need, from plates, cleaning products, even a slow cooker and dishwasher. Everything was left for our one year old including a cot and blankets, and they even had bubbles, loads of games and books for all ages. The WiFi worked really well and honestly we couldn’t fault it. The site was lovely, although there wasn’t loads to do for the kids, they made use of the golf, football pitches and pool. The entertainment was decent and we even won £500 at bingo! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Our 1st time at Cruggleton Lodge - though we have stayed at the relatively adjacent High Lodge several times. As at HL before, we had an idyllic week - which the facilities at CL provided an excellent foundation for. CL is secluded, set in the edge of woodlands, with breath-taking views out to sea. The walk through the woods down to Garlieston starts literally outside the door. Woods containing deer, hares and a wide variety of bird species. Have already booked again!

We stayed at Simon and Belinda's place for a week and it was exactly what we needed. Fantastic location for walks and food. The Wainwright's Inn is only 0.2 miles away. Great food and local ales on your doorstep. The cottage is cosy, the kitchen is well equipped and the information provided was very thorough and useful. There are some books in the house they have prepared to show various walks and local recommendations. We did some of these walks and our 5 year old enjoyed every second! We took advantage of the leisure facilities at The Langdale. This was a great addition to the cottage! Really recommend if you want a place near to town locations, walks and local pubs/cafés/restaurants.

Such great value for money! This is EXACTLY what we needed. We were looking at booking a house, but stumbled across this accommodation. It was a great location for what we needed on the way up to Scotland. The caravan was so homely and clean - it had everything we needed. The site had much to offer with the parks, bar and restaurant etc - we didn’t get chance to utilise them all as our stay was only 2 nights. We will definitely stay again and recommend to family members who also visit Scotland from the U.K. Thank you!

absolutely amazing time away. beautiful caravan . It looks lovely in the photos but I was amazed at how stunning the views are and how beautiful the caravan is. So many touches to it ....plus so many extras too. Tea,Coffee biscuits,fudge and a bottle of Prosecco was also left. New doggy bed to use and treats also. We really felt looked after and alot of care and attention was put into us enjoying are stay. My doggie loved it as did we. Waking up and having a morning coffee on the balcony looking out to sea was fantastic. We just loved every day of it. The site and surroundings is so clean and well kept. The beach is a 2 minute walk away. There are lots to do on site or many walks to do and explore the area. Also a good base to visit surrounding areas and towns. I've stayed at several Air BnB and this is on my top 3 . Highly recommend a stay here. We will DEFINITELY be back . 10/10.

Really enjoyed our stay, we were celebrating my Mother’s 90th birthday and had other family members staying in other lodges around the park. Beautiful scenery and great location. We’ll definitely be visiting again.

this was an absolute gem of a find. the cottage is set in quiet beautiful scenic countryside. it was a very comfortable place to stay. the views of the hills were amazing and we were able to sit out until late on the patio and enjoy the sunset and balmy evening. the cottage had all the equipment and amenities we needed and everything was in good working order and clean. the hot tub was clean, ready to use and situated looking onto the hills for peaceful relaxing views.

This is a great lodge in a small and quiet site - the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. There’s lovely views from the lounge and two balconies. Our girls loved the novelty of having a pool session all to themselves, and this was really easy to book through the main reception. The site is a short walk on pavement down to Sandyhills beach, and next door’s deer centre (Bainloch) is a must visit too. By car, there’s lots of great places nearby to visit. We hope to stay here again.

This is a perfect gem. If you are looking for tranquility with beautiful scenery, surrounded by nature this is the place for you. We spent every day enjoying the loch with swimming and kayaking. The log fire was great for enjoying the evenings. The master bed was incredibly comfortable and we slept like a log every night 🤣 We also arrived to a welcome package which was a great touch. This really is a home from home with everything you need. Locally we enjoyed 2 of the 7stanes mountain biking and walking locations. We also visited the Red kite feeding station at Bellymack hill farm in Laurieston which was an incredible sight to see and a great ice cream down at rockcliff beach. We will definitely be returning and cannot wait.

We had a great stay! It’s a good base for exploring the North Lakes. The place is very spacious for two adults. It’s dog-friendly with a shared enclosed garden, which was perfect for our needs. The property is also well equipped, making it easy to settle in and enjoy your stay. It would also suit a couple with one or two children, as I believe the sofa converts to a bed. Overall, a comfortable and convenient spot. We would be happy to book again!

Absolutely loved my 2 night stay, felt like I was in complete luxury ✨️ Was spotless, modern, amazing bathroom & facilities! Bed was so comfortable, hot tub was easy to heat, the little on site pub was brilliant fun!

Alison is a delightful lady. So kind and helpful. Her cottage ( we stayed in Jemima Puddleduck) was very comfortable. Beds and pullows especially and all spotlessly clean. All we needed was provided Alison had thought of everything. We had a fantastic week. Thank you.

Great location. Our second visit and this time we brought a friend who was equally impressed. Lovely to have tea, coffee and basic condiments to hand. Wonderful to see the house next door being made into a home. Thanks Danielle for another lovely holiday

Our stay at Foulbog was idyllic! The cottage and surroundings were beautiful. Lindsay was a great host and we would highly recommend a stay here!

We had a fantastic stay at Knott's View; the cottage was lovely, the garden a sun trap, and the surroundings were beautiful. We enjoyed lots of walks straight from the door - so many loops, including Gowbarrow Fell with amazing views of Ullswater and then back through Aira Force waterfalls late one sunny evening. The pub opposite is good for a pint and pub food, and we visited Keswick (great tapas restaurant) and Pooley Bridge too, as well as Grenridding - all 10 to 20 min drive. Chris and Ruth were really helpful throughout.

Great place to stay. Joanne was very friendly and responsive. Lots of great walks in the local area. Would definitely recommend.
