House holiday rentals in Downtown Halifax

This house blew us away and we’ve stayed a lot of spaces. Honestly, it’s one of those rare places that’s actually better than the photos. Every room was so clean, and beautifully designed but still felt incredibly welcoming and comfortable. Our group of eight had tons of space to spread out and unwind. We only stayed three nights but instantly wished we’d booked the whole week. It’s the perfect distance for all the day trips we wanted to take. We explored Halifax, Peggy’s Cove and even Lunenburg and Wolfville (loved this place, it’s so cute!). I mean then there’s the games room, lake, pool and water toys. If you're on the fence—don’t be. I would highly recommend to anyone to book this house and book longer than you think. We’ll absolutely be back, and next time we’re staying for the week!

Beautiful stay! The lake was fairly accessible, unfortunately the pool was out of service but the host kindly informed us before our stay and gave us options for refund. Happy we decided to stay, as it is a beautiful spot by the lake!

Fantastic hosts. Dream heritage property with total privacy and a heated pool in a park like setting; we booked that property pretty much every year for the last seven years. Rob and Barb are constantly improving the property, there is always something new to discover, whether it's a new appliance, or a brand new landscaped river frontage inviting you to sit and watch river and ocean life whilst sipping a glass of tasty red provided with the welcome basket. We enjoyed eating out at the Lunenburg restaurants, as much as we enjoyed cooking a delicious meal at their place, which is fully equipped, one can easily cook up a gourmet meal. Golden! It was a place like more than a home. Feeling of residing in a resort. We liked very much. In future when ever we plan to visit this side we will see that we come and relax in the place

Had a great stay at 13 Borden. Very close to the downtown area. 2 min drive to the pubs and restaurants. We spent 5 nights while attending a wedding at the lightfoot winery(5minDrive). Clean comfy beds. Everything you would need is right there on hand, which made it easy to settle in. Large private backyard space with an enormous pool, was a bonus on the hot days with two little kids. 10/10 would stay again, if we find ourselves in Wolfville again.

I booked CJ’s place last minute for member of our company’s upper management team. He went above and beyond for us given the tight timeline, was very attentive, provided clear instructions and was more than willing to help with unforeseen circumstances. My team had nothing but phenomenal things to stay about not only the property, but the property owner as well. We give a glowing recommendation for anyone interested in this property in the future

Another Great Stay at The Land Yacht! This was our second time staying at The Land Yacht, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. They have everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable getaway. The indoor pool was amazing, and the views of the ocean are absolutely breathtaking. One of our favorite moments was reading a book in the solarium while listening to the rain—pure bliss. The peaceful atmosphere, thoughtful amenities, and beautiful setting make this a truly special place. We can’t wait to return again!

We had a great stay and David was a great host! The place is clean, comfortable and equipped with what is needed for a family stay. Location is both central and quiet. I highly recommend!

My mum and I had a truly wonderful stay here! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at home. The space is not only beautiful and cozy but also thoughtfully arranged and sparkling clean. Every little detail, from the well equipped kitchen to the peaceful surroundings made our stay comfortable and memorable. Communication with Alicia & Ardalan was excellent from start to finish, always warm, responsive, and incredibly helpful. Such an amazing location. Loved that we could walk to Harbourfront: restaurants, playground, shopping, market. Grocery store close by, commercial district close by, Discovery Centre, Garrison Brewery, Pier 21, etc so close. Originally, I was concerned that there was only a small sitting area outside, but we were outside all the time exploring the area. Can’t say enough about the location. We loved the character of this heritage house that was completely modern. The bedroom and bathroom configuration (2 bedrooms upstairs, 3 bedrooms on lower level and full bathroom on every floor) was well thought out and allowed us to locate the children all on one level and allow some adult’s separation from them. The living room had some games and movies. It was bright with lots of windows. We enjoyed the spacious dining area that could fit all 8 of us comfortably. I highly recommend this place for families that want to explore, on foot, all that historic Halifax and the harbour front has to offer.

This was our first stay in Halifax and this was the perfect fit for our group of 7. The location was close enough to downtown and the area was beautiful and quaint. Claude was a great host with a beautiful home and excellent communication skills. We would happily stay there again should we ever travel back to Halifax!

Every thing was good

Stephanie 's place was very cosy, a home from home. Quiet area. Quirky decor and a beautiful plant collection downstairs. Well equipped and just as described. Very comfortable for a couple. Walking distance to downtown harbour area and to the main sites such as the Citadel and Maritime Museum. Excellent bars and restaurants nearby. We would recommend Edna's restaurant, Dee Dee's ice-cream and Tusker Falls Beer Project. Good to have an off road parking space.

We were in the city for my daughter’s convocation and Damsin’s place was absolutely perfect for our big family. Five big bedrooms, comfortable beds, big kitchen and dining area. East to get just about anywhere, lots of parking. We’d highly recommend! One thing to note - if you’re planning to do lots of cooking, be prepared. The kitchen isn’t fully stocked with cooking supplies, and we found the oven a bit tricky to use. But Damsin was very responsive and helpful with things we needed.

A lovely comfortable well equipped place. Only complaint was that the cleaners forgot to clean under the beds! Aldo no instructions to put on the heating unit.

We had a wonderful stay at Ashley’s. Everything we needed and more. Beautiful home! Very close to amenities as well. Ashley was very kind and helpful. We will definately stay there again - it would be our first choice for Dartmouth. Thank you

Randy’s property is absolutely stunning and super private. It had everything I needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of my crazy life. He brought fresh firewood over and showed me how to use the fireplace. The added touches of his beautifully designed furniture and decor just made the whole home feel so cozy and unique. I love that he displayed some beautiful art from local artists as well. I made good use of the sauna and hot tub. Everything was immaculate and clean. I would highly suggest booking Randy’s spot - if you can find an opening in their very busy calendar! One thing to note is that it is not close to restaurants but that did not bother me as I brought my own food and had the option to cook, which I prefer! There’s also filtered water for drinking in the kitchen. Such an elevated but also rustic home away from home.

We had a great stay at Sammi’s place! The home was clean, cozy, anduser friendly. The bed was comfortable, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches like fresh towels, coffee, and local recommendations. The location was nice and quiet—close to restaurants and grocery stores. We even had a nice surprise of seeing two deer in the front and back yard. Sammi was very responsive and made check-in and check-out super easy. The only thing to note is that there wasn’t a TV in the living room, which would’ve been nice for relaxing in the evenings. Not a dealbreaker, but worth mentioning. We used our iPad to watch TV as we don't like to watch TV in bed (our preference) so no big deal. Excellent High-speed WiFi. Close to the highway and downtown Halifax. Overall, a wonderful stay. We’d happily come back when we are in Halifax again and recommend it to others!

Our trip to Nova Scotia was a special celebration for our daughter. We chose the Den of Zen for a number of reasons, all of which exceeded our expectations: beautiful setting on a lake; clean and modern interior; an elixir of natural light from a wall of windows; use of great amenities such as a sauna, hot tub, and grill; close to Halifax/airport and easy access to routes for day trips; and comfortable beds. What was remarkable was the incredible hospitality of our hostess, Shelley, who made the trip THE best by offering attraction suggestions and keeping in touch to answer our questions. She was so attentive. We highly recommend a stay at the Den of Zen!

Gorgeous, clean, spacious home. Very QUIET, perfect location and efficient check in and out. Well supplied, great beds and truly a home away from home. Parking was great, in a clearly marked space just 50m east of the house in a fenced lot. Amazing stay, would return for sure!

This place was pure magic! I stayed for a night with three girlfriends and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect getaway. The ocean view is absolutely breathtaking, and the hot tub and sauna took the whole experience to the next level. Every detail felt thoughtful and relaxing. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the space was spotless, stylish, and so welcoming. We felt instantly at ease and didn’t want to leave. Highly, highly recommend—an absolute gem!
