Best Airbnb stay we have had ! Catherine/Kevin were great at communicating all about the check in and they were super flexible. When we arrived they had a care package for us with cookies and wine and a frozen pizza and a bundle of turf The hot tub was as a great addition. 3 minute walk to the local pub with trad music and great food ! This place is a true gem - we are definitely going to come back !

Stunning cottage, very clean and tidy with a bonus of the hot tub which was easy enough to set up . Located in such a peaceful area with an easy and quick to drive into town.

Absolutely stunning location, beautiful scenery and so private and peaceful. Excellent location for visiting the cliffs and beaches. The local pub offers great food and wonderful atmosphere. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly. Patrick was a very responsive host and easy to deal with.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in diesem gemütlichen Haus am See in Donegal. Die Kommunikation war hervorragend – immer schnell, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Haus ist sehr großzügig geschnitten, bestens ausgestattet und lädt zum Wohlfühlen ein. Der Whirlpool war ein echtes Highlight, besonders mit der traumhaften Aussicht, von der man gar nicht genug bekommen kann. Absolut empfehlenswert – wir kommen gerne wieder!

We had a truly wonderful stay at this charming cottage. The location is absolutely perfect—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful countryside. It was the ideal spot to relax and unwind, with nature right at our doorstep. The cottage itself was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. It felt like a real home away from home. Our host Mairead was fantastic— She made sure we had everything we needed and had the turf fire lit on our arrival. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the beauty and tranquility of Donegal!

We had a fantastic stay over the bank holidayweekend. Laura was a great host—friendly, helpful, and full of brilliant recommendations for places to eat and things to do in the area. The cottage itself is cosy, comfortable, and really well equipped, with everything we needed. The views from the cottage are absolutely stunning, and the hot tub was the perfect way to relax in the evenings after a day of exploring. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay! Moya & Gavin were lovely hosts—warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout. The house is absolutely stunning with an incredible view. Inside, it’s cozy and beautifully done, with everything you need. The kitchen is fully equipped, making it feel just like home. We’re definitely planning to come back soon!

We had the pleasure of staying at this lovely cottage and it was truly the best Airbnb experience we’ve ever had. The setting was beautiful—peaceful and picturesque, just perfect for a relaxing getaway. The cottage itself was charming, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. What really made our stay special was the excellent service and the warmth of the hosts. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We couldn’t recommend this place highly enough and hope to return in the future! Five stars all around!

Das Cottage und das Grundstück sind sehr gepflegt und wir hatten wundervolle 4 Tage. Zur Begrüßung stand eine Flasche Wein, Wasserflaschen, ein Kuchen und frische Blumen in der Küche. Das ist sehr aufmerksam gewesen und keine Selbstverständlichkeit. Der County Donegal ist sehr schön und wir haben tolle Ausflüge unternommen. Vielen Dank für alles.

Just lovely wee place.. the fully fenced garden was brilliant for my dog, the garden is huge, the cottage was very cosy, very warm, bed comfortable, shower great. Noreen was a great communicative host and even supplied a ball for my dog!! Would not hesitate to recommend area, property and host... we had bad weather one day, a perfect excuse to just curl up and and indulge In the fabulous home, heat and a book!! Everything was as described, perfectly clean and everything you could want for a short or long stay!!

Peters Place was wonderful, private. loved being on the farm with the animals. the surrounding area it was all perfect. Lots of area to walk and wonder. Peter offered great suggestions on things to do in the area. Would definitely stay here again.

Isabella is a very good host and spends time telling you about the cottage and the sorrounding area. The cottage is set in a peaceful area with plenty of parking .Farm animals can be seen in the nearby fields with hens around the garden. The cottage is very well furnished with plenty of bed clothes and towels.The kitchen has everthing you need with coffee tea milk butter etc provided. I would recommend the cottage for a peaceful getaway.

fantastisch authentieke cottage met 'n mooi verhaal! Prachtige omgeving, ligt mooi centraal in van alles te bekijken. Clare is ontzettend aardig en hulpvaardig. We hebben genoten!

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The space is excellent - homely and cosy yet with plenty of room. The open fire is great for cooler evenings. The kitchen is spacious and has everything you need. There’s also a sunroom on the side of the house which is lovely and bright if it’s not warm enough to sit outside. The cottage is close to beautiful beaches and there are a few shops nearby if you need groceries or fuel. We would definitely stay again!

Such a wonderful experience to stay in such a beautifully loved thatched cottage. We will definitely be staying again next time we’re in Donegal! We really enjoyed our stay in Rosapenna. We were very lucky, the weather was excellent and we enjoyed our golfing days. We will definitely be back to stay in your house. The view from your house was good for the soul every morning.

This was an absolute gem of a place. The mountain scenery is breathtaking. Brian was a superb host who was friendly, helpful and very responsive. He was very helpful with tips on places to go nearby. The house was extremely comfortable, homely and very clean. Brian had thought of everything including small details such as providing charging cables for phones by each bed. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay. We cooked a lot and the kitchen had all the equipment you need plus the Mountain View of course! There was even a speaker you could connect to for music which was great. Even if the weather isn’t good you can still enjoy the ever changing views of the mountains, the mist coming down and the sunsets. If you want peace and quiet this is the perfect place to stay. We would come back in a heartbeat.

The house was very nice, very comfortable. We had fantastic sunny weather. The view from the front windows was amazing!!

Eight of us shared 4 twin rooms and 2 bathrooms…I thought maybe it might be a bit uncomfortable and crowded…as did others in our party…but no…it was very spacious for us and there was never an issue regarding the bathrooms…We were on a hiking trip…we are all eager to return and make use of this accommodation again…sooner rather than later…we were very, very happy with Mary & Thomas’s Air B&B…would highly recommend a stay there! 😃

What a beautiful home in idyllic setting of Downings peninsula. Felt right at home from the second I arrived with beautiful open fire ideal for winter evenings, very relaxed setting and beautiful surroundings but still close enough to all the local amenities like golf at Rosapenna, local restaurants in Downings & Carrigart, The Boardwalk and amazing beach at Tra Mor & Murder Hole Cove. Tara was an excellent host, was responsive to all pre visit enquiries and was. flexible around my travel arrangement’s. Look forward to many more visits in the future.

The house was cosy, had all that you could need and is as close to “centrally located” in Fanad as is possible - short distance to some great sights, right beside public transport etc. I was travelling for work and Ciaran went out of his way to be accommodating for this.
