Lake house holiday rentals in Door County

This was the perfect place for my three friends and I to spend a week together relaxing, recharging, and enjoying the gorgeous scenery. The house is cozy, comfortable, and felt like home as soon as we got there. The antiques throughout the house are cool and add a really unique touch to the place. We spent a lot of time just sitting down by the lake. It is truly just a short little walk out the back door to the shore. I am already thinking about booking another stay here!

We had a wonderful stay! The chalet was so charming and I’d definitely stay there again. It was super accessible to all the local towns, nothing took more than 20 minutes. Great local beaches and restaurants. The area was very quiet and the views were breathtaking!

The place was clean and in good shape. Heather gave great directions and was very communicative!

The cottage was clean and well maintained. The backyard was perfect for yard games and relaxing. Lots of extra supplies were available which was a nice surprise.

Jeanette's home was the perfect getaway from a week of long days in Green Bay. Amazing location right on the water. Great fishing. Fresh air. All around lovely experience. Oodles of charm inside, as this is clearly cherished by the family. It was a privilege to stay. Would love to come back. Thank you!

We were very familiar with this collection of cottages as my parents rented here for 20 full summers. This one has been updated in a good way. Very clean, new kitchen redo with all new appliances and dishes, heat and AC, yet original features like the handmade front door and log stair bannister were preserved. Lovely bay views and fall colors. Excellent communication ahead of time. Wonderful selection of games, puzzles and interesting coffee table books. Great memories rekindled and made anew with our grandchild.

Really enjoyed our stay! The lake and wildlife views were great. We loved being able to enjoy them on the patio with the fire table or through the screen patio doors if we were inside. Would stay again. Thank you!

Our family of 4 adults and 4 kids visited Door County for the first time and stayed in Travis and Sara’s home. We loved all the space and beds the home afforded. The home was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We also loved that the house was on the water and had everything needed to enjoy the water. My kids LOVED paddle boating and kayaking to the little islands and exploring them all. They also loved the “hidden play room” with toys and books. Travis and Sara were great hosts…very responsive from the beginning. We had a couple of minor issues pop up, and they addressed them immediately. Two things to keep in mind when considering this house: 1. One of the bedrooms has an opening in the wall that overlooks the living room. We had to keep our kids quiet in the morning so we didn’t wake the adults using that bedroom. 2. There is limited hot water. We had to be mindful of spacing out showers/baths, because we would frequently run out of hot water.

Absolutely perfect place for our group. Will definitely look to book at the same place again in the future.

6 adults shared the house, it was just as advertised, clean, private, comfortable, plenty of room for all of us. The location was perfect, right on the lake, plenty of food, drink and outdoor activities just a short drive away. We had a very enjoyable family reunion here and would recommend staying here to anyone. Communication with the hosts was excellent, responses were made quickly and accurately. Thanks Erin for a really good time!

Great location right on the lake and a 20ish min drive to the door county towns for activities. We used the kayaks every day and had a fire on the water which was my favorite part. It was a quiet and peaceful street for walks. The host was very present and messaged throughout the stay to ensure we were alright - although we never ran into issues. I wish there had been beach towels in addition to the white towels we used in the bathroom - however they do provide a washer & dryer so we washed the towels after using from the hot tub/lake. Also the hot tub is only for 2 adults - we tried to squeeze 4 in and it was tight.

This place was so beyond cute and peaceful! Held everyone comfortably and would definitely return! The driveway is a little tight but we managed.

We enjoyed our extended family weekend here! The location and view cannot be beat. Quick to get to state parks and lots to do in downtown Sturgeon Bay. The birding from the shore was incredible. Pelicans, great blue herons, ducks aplenty. Nice shallow bay for kayaking. Private yard was lovely. House was super clean and comfortable. The en suite shower is a nice deluxe model! Most of all our host Ben was extremely responsive and helpful, providing quick answers and proactive instructions to guide us along the way. Would stay again!

Lovely accommodations, beautiful views and within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. The Deckhouse was a very special place to spend a relaxing vacation.

Great host and great place to stay!

Better than the pictures!! The space was gorgeous, lake views as soon as you stepped in the home. We were able to get to and from restaurants easily with about a 10 min drive or less. Loved the privacy of the space and enjoyed a nice fire our first evening there. Also, they did not short us on anything needed to feel right at home! Would definitely go back.

Great Door County experience. Spacious and comfortable residence. Showers and sleeping were excellent. Internet a little spotty and I recommend bringing a streaming device since none are provided. Shout out nearby Coyote Roadhouse and Waseda Farms are definitely worth stopping at. Wonderful time.

We had an amazing stay for the 4th. The highlight of the home was the location in Sturgeon Bay. It was a quick drive into town for great restaurants and shops. We rented kayaks and were able to easily launch into the water (be sure to bring water shoes). The lawn and garden were beautifully maintained. The deck and adirondack chairs made sunsets around the fire pit ideal. The home was very clean and the beautiful kitchen was well stocked. Highly recommend!

A cute and cozy place to stay for a group getaway. Our group enjoyed being close to Lake Michigan! We loved having access to a grill, fire pits, and the board games inside. Thanks Larry for providing a great setup for our time in Door County!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Wilke Waterfront Bayside Retreat. The property was impeccably clean and stocked with plenty of amenities to make our stay comfortable. The location is ideal, whether you're planning to explore Door County or Green Bay. The westward views over the waters of Green Bay were simply spectacular, offering beautiful sunsets. We highly recommend this retreat to anyone looking for a serene and unique getaway

Brandon was great to work with & always quick to respond both prior to booking, prior to stay & during our stay! He answered my questions about the smell of smoke noted in earlier reviews prior to us booking. (The smell is gone!) l liked that we had privacy but were so close to the main area of Sister Bay & access to highways to take us to the other towns. Super easy to check in & cute interior. Fire pit was a nice feature!

Such a lovely spot on Green Bay just between Sturgeon Bay and Egg Harbor. Relaxing at the waters edge was the highlight of our days... especially the sunsets. Rainy days were spent eating at new restaurants, shopping and wine tasting. Don't miss Off the Wheel Pottery on E, and just a bit further, Stones Throw Winery. As Michael at Stones Throw said, "When it rains, we pour!" ; ) Toft Cottage was lovely with wall to wall windows overlooking the lake and beautifully landscaped grounds. The wildlife was abundant... deer, pelicans, seagulls, loons. Loved the peace and serenity here. Thank you, Trudy, for a wonderful stay.

If you’re looking for a place to relax, don’t pass up this spot. The beach is across the street with beautiful water views out all the front windows and a wooded area out back with equally lovely views. You’ll hear both waves and birdsong, there’s very little traffic and the speed limit out front is very slow when cars do pass by. There’s a long walk on the beach or through the wooded neighborhood. Indoors the kitchen has everything you need to cook in if you don’t want to head into town. The beds are comfy and the open concept living area is well furnished for a group. There are multiple seating areas on the wraparound deck and there is very little light pollution if you want to stargaze.
