Family-friendly holiday rentals in Detroit River

Lisa and Phil have an amazing place and go above and beyond as hosts! They had fresh pastries, fruit, and flowers waiting for us. The kitchen is well stocked with pantry essentials and cooking gear. The property is immedicable and exemplifies Phil's wood-working craftsmanship. We took full advantage of the hot tub and also a tour of Phil's downstairs wood shop. While initially concerned about the train, we found it an exciting perk and our sleep was never disturbed even without ear plugs. We were lucky enough to be able to stay for 2 weeks and will definitely be recommending the "lodge" to friends and family!

We had a wonderful stay, in a beautiful home and neighborhood. Our hosts made us feel right at home. It was an inviting and charming house. The deck and backyard were perfect for a small, family graduation gathering.

Warren, Nathan, and John (who we didnt have a chance to meet until the morning we were leaving) were amazing hosts, guides, baristas...and beautiful humans. They were so nice to talk to and made us feel very welcome. The house, the hot tub, the beautiful surroundings, a coffee shop in the backyard...everything was exactly as described and so much more. We have already been checking our calendars to find a weekend to go back!. Definite ten out of ten...and I'm positive our dogs would agree too :)

i travel alot and this was by far my favorite place! loved the house surroundings was beautiful we had a BLAST! the host was super friendly and communicated really well!! we definitely plan on coming back and booking with aunt jane!!

Immaculate condo in a very smart residential area. Clean and beautifully furnished. Very effective communication from the host and kept us informed of the progress

Jason was an amazing host. He was very proactive. He reached out to me regarding check in and check out and was very accommodating and responsive. The neighborhood was interesting. We were a bit apprehensive driving in because it’s the only house around. A bit excluded. But we didn’t feel unsafe and there is a police station a stones throw away. It was quiet, and the perfect location to use as a home base while visiting Detroit. Which is a great city with tons to see and do!! The house is so unique with an interesting back story. If you’re headed to Detroit, you have to stay here!

Everything about this cottage was exactly what we were hoping for. It was right on the water and the sunsets were amazing. Very clean and everything we needed in the kitchen bathroom and bedrooms. Very comfortable and we loved the sunroom! The grounds were well kept too. And it was in close proximity to the ferry to Pelee Island and Point Pelee national park. I’ve already recommended this place to friends. We will definitely book this again if we are in that area in the future.

Nick's space was a good home base, and as a host he was accommodating and responsive to messages and inquiries, even offering a kitchen ingredient from his personal stash downstairs when I forgot to grab it from the grocer earlier in the day.

Frank was amazing. The house was also amazing and roomie. I will for sure be using this air bnb again. Thank you so much for your hospitality and letting us rent your space.

This is the second of Jennifer’s listings we’ve stayed at and it was just as cozy and clean as the first! Jennifer is a very responsive and friendly host, and the house was clean, nicely decorated, and easy to settle into. Would happily stay again.

Loved our stay! Everything was perfectly as described and the host was responsive and gave clear instructions. The views were incredible. We hope to come back in warmer months. Favorite part was the master bathroom upstairs. Heated flooring, a super fancy bidet, a bath perfect to soak in, and a spacious shower (they even provided nice soap that I’m buying for home!)

This was me and my partners first time staying at an airbnb and it was the best experience ever!! the place was so beyond cozy and with the best view ever! the restaurants nearby were all amazing! and we got to bring our chihuahua with us and he loved it! We can’t wait to stay again!

Auntie Blondie (as she told me to call her) was an awesome host. She was very thorough giving me a tour of the property and was a phone call away when I needed anything. The location and views were great for the price and would recommend this property to anyone in the area. Thank you again for allowing us to celebrate in your property.

It was a great place to be right one the water. Everything was clean and neat when we arrived. The staff were friendly and no problems to report

Stayed here for 2 weeks with my 2 kids aged 8 and 11. The place was nice and clean and the host was easily contactable and sent us a message every couple of days to check all was ok. We had plenty of room and facilities to cook and do our laundry. The pool area out the back was great and my kids and I spent many hours swimming. I would definitely consider booking again if we are back in the area next year.

Can’t complain! This unit was perfect for my family! We were on the island for the Sports Car Races and had a blast! The ease of renting a golf cart was also so great! The sunrises and the moon viewing is incredible.

We had an amazing stay this past weekend. My friends and I booked for my bachelorette party. Even with 13 girls we had plenty of space here. Adam was extremely responsive in answering my messages and even calls. The onsite golf cart rentals were extremely convenient and recommended to us by Adam! The pool was nice and very warm. The location was about a 4 min drive from the Miller Ferry, close to the winery, and a 6-8 min golf cart ride to all of the bars, restaurants, and Jet Express. We very much enjoyed our stay and will be back next year on a couples trip!

We had a great time at the condo! It was clean and the views were awesome. Renting a golf cart through the condo complex ahead of time was easy and convenient. Thanks for a fun stay!
