We came to town for the Redbull soapbox derby and it was a nice quiet convenient place to come back to and relax. The pool, yard games and hot tub were nice for the young adults with us.

Thank you for the great set up in your home for a fun filled family long weekend while we celebrated our son’s graduation. The home had a very large open floor plan which made for a great set up for our large family. They loved the huge sun porch with table and chairs, large backyard, hot tub, pool and we had a fire every night at the fire pit with s’mores. The home is clean and maintained well and it was easy to communicate with Hannah. Thanks so much for the great Airbnb!

Beautiful and comfortable home! This house is a delight with lots of charming details and amenities. The house offers plenty of square footage with multi-use rooms and spaces throughout. The pool was beautiful, clean, and so much fun. We were in town to visit our son for his college graduation from Drake University. This home made the weekend even better for our family to celebrate the occasion. The location is close to everything and the neighborhood is historic and beautiful. We would highly recommend this home to anyone staying in the Des Moines area.

Colby’s Instructions were very helpful and clearly written it’s obvious he is very experienced. The house was beautiful plenty of space to sit, sleep, and eat and in a quiet spot. The amenities were great having a dumpster there was very helpful multiple fridges and plenty of parking. The barn was very cool my guests were not expecting anything like that, we all had a lot of fun and had no problems keeping the place clean and following the rules.

We really enjoyed the house. it was nice and spacious. Has a huge kitchen and living room. Living room furniture was very comfortable, kitchen was fully stocked and clean. A great space out back to sit and play cards, chat with friends, and the hot tub was great. Although we didn't get to swim in the pool because it was still being treated to open for the season, (we booked a week too early) it is definitely a nice pool with great pool furniture. The outside area is very private, surrounded by trees and my 4 yr old granddaughter loved the playground area. All in all, it is a great place to stay, it is located close to a Walmart, Dollar Tree, and pretty much any other stores you would want or need, also lots of different restaurants close by too. We would definitely consider again. The communication was very good and responses were quick.

This little home was so perfect in every way. They had fun activities like board games and toys for kids. The kitchen was wonderful and had a few snacks in place, which was extremely thoughtful. We enjoyed the train going by (it wasn't very loud and passed by relatively quick). The bed was so comfy after a day of exploring Iowa! Overall, I really enjoyed our stay in Iowa. It felt like a like a perfect little home away from home. Now, I can't wait for us to come back to visit again!

Highly recommended home and host! We stayed at this property before with a family member and we were very impressed, so were glad to find it available for our most recent trip. It is clean, quiet, close to great things to do and restaurants, and feels very comfortable. Very good communication and we felt very welcomed. This will definitely continue to be our first choice every time we visit Des Moines!

We stayed here for my sister’s wedding, and it was absolutely perfect! The location couldn’t have been more convenient— which made everything so much easier during such a busy weekend. The space was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Honestly, I don’t know what we would have done without it! 10/10—highly recommend for anyone visiting downtown Des Moines, especially for events or with family!!!

Very cute place! We stayed for a bachelorette little weekend getaway and had a great time. Loved the backyard patio. We made a lovely dinner with all the kitchen tools. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! Communication before our arrival was excellent, and the check-in instructions were super clear and easy to follow. The home itself was absolutely gorgeous—spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed. One of our favorite features was that each bedroom had its own private bathroom, which made getting ready a breeze and gave everyone plenty of privacy. The layout was perfect for our group of six, and we especially enjoyed gathering around the large dining room table for board games. The game room downstairs was a big hit too, with a pool table and classic arcade games! The neighborhood was quiet, safe, and peaceful—ideal for a relaxing getaway. Small touches like the round ball ice cubes for our cocktails really stood out and were a fun favorite among our group. Having three TVs with streaming services was also a great bonus! We were beyond happy with our stay & would love to come back! Wish our weekend could have lasted at least a few more days!

Homeland was just that! Home! We had an amazing time! There was a lot to do in and out of the home! We played tons of the games in the home, hot tub, sauna, grilling day for my son’s birthday… so much to do! If you are reading this…. Great place! Helpful instructions provided regarding parking. Large bedrooms and beautiful bathrooms with heated toilet sets, say less! Kitchen was perfect size and provided anything and everything you’d need. Would highly recommend!

We stopped in Van Meter on our trip to Colorado and had a lovely stay. Summer was very responsive and attentive and met all our needs. The house was clean and very welcoming. It's obviously well-cared for and had everything we needed for cooking and relaxing. Her kitchen things were very organized and we loved the character of the house.
