The Barn @ Dale End House, Gratton nr Bakewell

LauraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Massive thank you to Paul and Sarah. We had a truly fantastic time, our daughter loved being a mini farmer for the weekend, she has not stopped talking about our stay since we have arrived home! Paul was very responsive to any questions we had, the accommodation was clean and had everything we wanted and more! We loved the location and having such beautiful walks right from the doorstep. We will absolutely be back, thanks again for a great stay.

Fernyford Barn in the Peak District

RebeccaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Fernyford Barn is the perfect base for a holiday in the Peak District. There are so many things to do and places to visit just a short drive away. The barn is very comfortable, nicely decorated and perfect for families. We loved stocking up on food from the local shops and meat from the farm itself and cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. Neil and his family were friendly and welcoming hosts and our little ones loved meeting the sheep and exploring the farm. We’d love to return.

We had a lovely stay at Ed and Charlottes, the perfect spot to explore from. The cottage was spotless and exactly as listed with lovely scenery and stocked with the essentials for our stay we were even treated to a delicious bowl of fresh strawberries on our final morning. The place was easy to find and the prearrival instructions easy to follow and had really helpful information on local taxis and places to eat nearby perfect for our stay. Thank you Ed and Charlotte 😊

Thank you very much Robert for letting us stay at Hollywell Lodge, we really appreciated the usefull information you provided before our visit regarding the roadworks. Immaculate Studio - Heart of the Peak District.

JackRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The location was perfectly situated for our visits to Chatsworth House, Stanage Edge, Bakewell and Buxton. The accommodation was simple but had everything we required, including a lovely view to enjoy with a cup of tea. Hosts Wendy and Simon were extremely welcoming and attentive, giving us local recommendations, and even tidying the accommodation while we were out for the day. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Wagon Lea is a delightful converted Railway Wagon,

DierdreRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a beautiful long weekend at Wagonlea, from the moment we walked in there was a relaxed ambiance with the sheep and goats in the field. Despite being on a farm it feels very private and the host Ruth does not intrude at all. The place was spotlessly clean with a hot shower and all bathroom and kitchen essentials. Saturday we drove into Belper which is a lovely quaint village. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt very relaxed after being there, highly recommend

Cosy cottage in the heart of the Peak District

DavidRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had an amazing stay in this lovely property. Stunning views from propery and very peaceful location to come back to after a day exploring/hiking all the close by attractions such as Buxton, Mam Tor, NT Longshaw. Met up with friends at RHS Bridgewater a bit further afield but worth a visit. Kitchen well equipped and spacious and enjoyed cooking with the view towards Rushup Edge. This was particularly spectacular with the recent strawberry moon in full view.

newly converted sycamore cottage

AlexRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We stayed here for 3 nights for my wifes birthday and our 9 month daughter first holiday and it was perfect. The hot tub made the difference with our early evenings in. Short drive to local places. Accommodation has horses and cows that come say hello in the late afternoon. Only downside is the signal wasn't great for the TV. But once turned off and on again seemed to spring into life. Would recommended staying here and would happily stay again.

Meadow View Heights-the Heart of the Peak District

MaddieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Lovely place to stay. The property was very spacious and equipped with everything we could have needed, and Caroline kept in touch with us over the weekend to ensure everything was ok. There are some great hikes nearby, and would recommend finishing at the Red Lion for food - we had lunch there and it was superb. The nearby village of Tideswell is only a 20 minute walk away and has some lovely shops, pubs and fish and chips on offer. Overall a great location and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Cosy romantic retreat in idyllic Peaks location

ChloeRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Francesca's place totally exceeded our expectations! It is located halfway up the hill which ensured great views from the bedroom window. Surrounded by cute farm animals as well as a beautiful, well-tended garden. The interior was even better than the photos -- the accommodation not only had all the amenities and appliances we could have needed, but Francesca added a personal touch by curating a sampler of local bread, butter, honey, eggs, etc. We cannot recommend this place enough -- a perfect place to come home to after long days of exploring and hiking. We also had the chance of meeting Jocelyn who was extremely kind and personable. Cannot wait to return!

Hot Tub, Indoor Pool & Hay Loft Near Alton Towers

FionaRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Wonderful weekend stay at the Loft , 3 friends and 2 children . The arrival was a lovely warm welcome from Anita . Anita gave us a tour of the property and explained the pool use and hot tub to us . Both of which were a great facility and hit with adults and children alike . The property comfortably slept 5 of us . We all loved the large lounge in the middle of the upper floor . Super comfy sofa and range of Netflix , sky and DVD’s if required . We walked the footpath across fields into Butterton which was a nice walk . We found the Black Lion pub and booked Sunday dinner . It seems very popular and the roast lamb didn’t disappoint . We enjoyed our weekend stay that we have booked for next year . Highly recommend staying here , perfect for friends or larger families as there is actually another rental cottage - we don’t use . Anita and her family and dogs are very welcoming and gave us lots of local things to do advice . Short drive to many Peak District attractions to . Perfect đŸ€©

As three friends getting together for a weekend of walking in the Peak District it was absolutely perfect! The cottage and location were idyllic. Mornings sat outside eating breakfast watching the chickens! More than enough space inside the cottage to accommodate us. It really had everything we needed.

Quirky self-contained Chalet 'Little Switzerland’

YasminRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Me and my mum had a wonderful stay here. The village is beautiful, and well equipped with pubs! We had a delicious dinner at the Farmyard Inn which was a 10/15 minute walk from the house, there is a pub less than 5 minutes walk away however. It is only a 10 minute drive into Bakewell down some very scenic country lanes. The room itself was super cosy, we had everything we needed, including a smart TV so we could binge watch Charmed in the evening. We were welcomed in person, Phil and Diane are both super friendly and helpful, Ben their dog, is absolutely gorgeous and loved a fuss. There was homemade sourdough bread on the side when we checked in, along with freshly picked strawberries from their garden, drinks, butter, the list goes on, we felt very cared for and appreciated it greatly. We didn't use the sauna but it looked brilliant. Overall we would definitely stay here again, it was so peaceful.
