Our favorite Derby house - we love everything about it. It’s so sunny and welcoming. Wood fire or heat pump, both do the job very very well. The house is warm right through. Fab big tv and comfy couch. The beds and linens are lovely and fresh and comfortable. Unlike some other places in Derby, there is not a crawling bug in sight much to one family members delight. Excellent design with the bike room along side the living area, it’s very safe as you can lock away your bikes easily. Our friendly kookaburra friends were back to say hello too. Highly recommend and we look forward to staying again for the best weekend away in Tassie.

Amazing location with incredible views to enjoy on the large deck with a new BBQ to use. It's right at the bottom of Return to Sender trail and approx 20 pedal strokes to the main entrance to the fantastic world class trail system. There is a lock up shed with work station and wash bay. Outdoor bath and shower with fire pit. Sound proofing walls, perfect for your friend that snores :) Everything you need for a fun time! A beautiful escape in the beautiful NE wilderness. Kid friendly with lots of games and DVDs, and close to waking trails and the weld river. The kids loved looking for wildlife in the backyard after dark. The hosts are lovely and respond quickly to all questions and offer great recommendations. I can't wait to return in future.

beautiful small house, nice and quiet. had all the amenities that you need. Very cosy inside, was nice sitting around the fire. beds we're very comfy and warm. If you're looking for some piece and quiet and somewhere cosy to stay I recommend staying. The host Nick was also great to deal with, let us know everything we needed to in advance. Being a cold night when we stayed he left extra blankets and wood before we got in.

We had a great stay at Julia's place. The house is really comfortable and in a great location. After a big day riding it was lovely to have a few drinks on the back deck overlooking the river. Would definitely recommend a stay if you're planning a trip to Derby.

Very scenic, comfortable and warm. Excellent fire, relaxing atmosphere and very clean. Lots of extra bedding and towels readily available but wasn’t needed. The kitchen had everything to create a family meal. The piano was a hit along with finding Monopoly behind the quaint pulpit. Our fur baby was also welcomed. A great summer and winter stay.

We had a wonderful stay in Derby! The house was beautiful and the sauna was a great addition! You can easily bike or walk into town. The space was very thoughtfully designed and loved the bike stand and wash station. We hope to be back again next year!

A lovely stay in such a peaceful hidden away location - with only the sound of distant cows... bliss. Nice & cosy with good heating on a frosty night looking at the stars. Our dog enjoyed the little yard whilst we enjoyed the challenge of cooking in the wood stove. The nearby creek is a beautiful spot to decompress too.. Highly recommend!
