Cozy & Charming Corner Room in historic Chalfonte

NormanRating, 5 stars8 months ago
The Chalfonte Hotel is such a cool place! If you’re intrigued with history and character, this is an experience for you. Only a 5 min walk from the beach and lots of great restaurants and things to do in the area. This was my first time in Cape May, it will certainly not be my last.

Room with two Queen Beds, Private Balcony/Bay View

EmmanuelleRating, 5 stars90 months ago
The Marina Bay Hotel & Suites was very comfortable, great location right on the water with great sunset views. Great amenities: laundry room, exercise room, fire pits on the pier, and complimentary breakfast buffet. The staff was super nice and allowed us to plug in our electric car. Fun winter decorations throughout.

Charming Boutique on C&O Canal ~ Workspace! Lock11

MelissaRating, 5 stars22 months ago
What a great experience! Clean, cozy, loved the location by the canal and 2 blocks from the Potomac, right beside an excellent Italian restaurant and within walking distance of all the shops. Based on the pictures, I did expect two queen size beds but our room had one queen and futon. This was not an inconvenience for me though. Maybe I had overlooked something in the description. The check-in kiosk is outside, and we had no problems using it. We had asked for a place to drop off our luggage before the check-in time. When we came at 9 am no one answered the doorbell, but when we tried again after 10 am someone was there to let us in. They had several cupboards available that could easily fit two roller bags each where we could leave our luggage locked and take the key with us. You may want to confirm that someone will be present to answer the doorbell if you request to drop off your luggage early. We’re so thankful for the wonderful experience!

Cozy Bedroom in Historic Chalfonte Hotel

MaraRating, 5 stars9 months ago
It is always a pleasure to stay in the beautiful Chalfonte Hotel! Charming historic Victorian surroundings and a beautiful relaxing veranda three blocks from Cape May's beaches. The front desk is always helpful and friendly, and the King Edward bar is always full of interesting conversations and delicious drinks. We have been coming to Cape May for 10 years and have stayed in the Chalfonte for three, I don't see myself staying anywhere else!

Room with Balcony/View

KenzieRating, 5 stars45 months ago
We had a lovely stay! When we arrived, we were a little unclear as to which building we needed to go to. When we did find the correct building, our reservation wasn’t found. The guy at the front desk was super apologetic and kind, though! He did eventually find our reservation and helped out with our cold items while we waited for our room. He also was able to offer us a room of our preference! In the morning, another staff member helped us with our breakfast (and crazy 1 year old who is always on the move)! Overall, the staff was incredibly and we loved our stay!

Cozy & Charming Corner Room in historic Chalfonte

BekaRating, 5 stars9 months ago
I enjoyed my stay in the little corner room at the Chalfonte. I loved reading and people-watching on the porch. It's a great location, just a few blocks from the beach and the main shopping area. I parked my car a few blocks away and rented a bicycle to get around town. The bathroom was a bit further down the hall than I expected, but it was always clean and available.

The Cockburn Room at the Vandiver Inn

AmyRating, 5 stars25 months ago
This is a lovely little inn that is comprised of three houses- the mansion, and two neighboring victorian houses. We stayed in one of the rooms in the house directly next to the mansion. It was clean and extremely comfortable. The back garden is lovely and a wonderful place to hang out, enjoy a glass of wine, and make new friends. The inn is within walking distance of everything you would want to do in Havre de Grace. They serve a light breakfast in the morning between 8-10. Coffee, which was a must for us, was available 24/7. John, the owner, is so friendly and made it a point to make sure we were comfortable. We will definitely stay here again!

Linda was very clear with her communication whether it was about checking in or answering a question. The room was very clean and also spacious. Upon our arrival we found an information book that told us everything we needed and know. If need be we would definitely stay here again.

Laid back Boutique Inn 1 block to beach in OCNJ

KielaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I had the absolute best stay here. Hillary and her husband are literally the sweetest people. They gave us a great recommendation for breakfast and I loved it. It felt like I was staying at a neighbor’s house if that makes sense - so homey and super comfortable. I’m a stickler about cleanliness and I did not have a SINGLE complaint. Everything was so pristine and organized. The environment itself was beyond peaceful which is exactly what I needed that weekend. It’s in the perfect location from the boardwalk and totally walkable to the rest of downtown. This is definitely going in my favorites and I will be coming back.

Armistead House - Room 201 (2nd Floor)

BarbaraRating, 5 stars8 months ago
This home was a lazy two block walk to the historic district. Our room with attached bath was all that we needed for a comfortable long weekend. The old Victorian has a great spirit. We took advantage of the front porch for snacking while watching the activities of the street and sidewalk. Beautiful fall weekend for the Second Sunday Art and Music Festival just around the corner, an added perk. Dedicated parking spot in the rear, with easy access to Lafayette St. to reach other local destinations.

The moment you walk through the door, you can tell that someone put their heart and soul into making this place special. This historic home has been lovingly restored and decorated in period furnishings. Staying at Strawberry Hill was a wonderful adventure. Linda is a responsive host and a fascinating person. I can't wait to come back!
