Cottage holiday rentals in Deer Isle

The most beautiful place, exceeding all expectations. The views are spectacular. We breathed in peace and tranquility. A fabulous place to celebrate my 80th birthday with the whole family -- 16 of us. Everyone was comfortable in the space. In addition to being the perfect host, Samantha provided surprise extras which was such fun! Just a few of the highlights: S'mores at the firepit, lobster dinners, seals, bald eagles and fireworks. She made our stay truly memorable. My family gives the place the highest recommendation.

This house has a beautiful view of the lake!! The complementary water activity’s are worth booking!! We enjoyed our stay and will come back!! Make sure to walk out on the dock at night and look at the stars!!

We stayed here our last night while visiting Acadia. Super cute little cabin! We loved that they had a common space in the main house that was full of supplies and very welcoming. Would stay here again!

It’s a lovely cabin, the hot tub is a plus. It’s also fairly private since it’s last cabin of the property.

We had a great two nights here and enjoyed the hot soak and the sauna. It was near many amenities and also felt very removed. Matt’s was attentive without being intrusive, making sure our stay was perfect and the escape we hoped it would be.

Adorable cottage, newly renovated. Perfect for two with an open space loft for one more. Kitchen is well stocked right down to the coffee. A good location if visiting Fort Knox, Mt. Barrie and not too far from Bar Harbor if that is on your list. Great stay, highly recommend. Beautiful view and private.

We really enjoyed our stay at Eddie’s house. It was so clean and inviting. The house has so much character. The view of the lake was great. We would definitely book again.

Eric is a super friendly host and he knows the local recommendations. His cabin is easy to check-in, clean and very peaceful. One sidenote is this listing doesn't provide wifi, making it ideal for people looking for an unplugged getaway. We truly enjoyed our time on the beautiful Maine coast!

We had a lovely stay at Jeff's place in Friendship and appreciated all the thoughtful touches there. It was wonderful taking the kayaks out to explore the surrounding islands. I would also recommend the lobster rolls nearby at the Jameson Point restaurant.

I had a wonderful stay here! The inside is clean and cozy! Plus we enjoyed being able to cook over the fire and hang out by the lake. The location is private and peaceful. 35 minutes to the entrance of Acadia but depending on what part of the park you are headed to it can be up to an hour drive. I would stay again!

We had an amazing stay at Jason’s place despite a (mostly) rainy Memorial Day weekend! We still found plenty to do including inside the Airbnb, outside at the pond, and locally at all of the great restaurants/breweries/nature around. We also made it out to Acadia two of our days. I will say, the trip took longer than advertised (about an hour to get to the edge of the park), but was a pleasant enough ride. We also had our two dogs staying with us and we all felt right at home! Jason was a very responsive and helpful host as well - you can’t go wrong with this peaceful retreat on the pond!

Leaving aside that everything is too expensive these days, the accommodations were fantastic in every way!

Beautiful quite location with rustic craftsmanship like no other. Close to Acadia and Gulf of Maine, scenic farm and whimsy charm. Amazing place!

Philip's home is one of our favorite Airbnbs. The location is private yet close to the carriage trails and bar harbor. The windows overlooking the trees make us feel like we're in a tree house. Everything works and the hosts are quick to respond to any issues. We highly recommend it!

Our trip to Stonington to stay with Maggi has become an annual event. We enjoy settling into a place that has become a second home. Whether it is relaxing at the cottage, walking into town, traveling to a local preserve or taking the mailboat out to Isle au Haut, it is a wonderful experience. Local restaurants offer many options for dining but Stonington Seafood, a great source for local fish, and Maggi's well stocked kitchen and outdoor grill can make dinner prep a snap right at the cottage. We are already looking forward to our next trip.

What an amazing place! The view of the shore from the house is beautiful and a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee. An easy walk to the shoreline is such an advantage to this lovely cabin. Comfortable and well equipped. We look forward to returning.

This place was magical, and Basha is a fantastic and informative host. It’s perfect for a getaway! But also had strong wifi :)

Amazing and beautiful location! Super quiet at night and only a few cars driving by during the day. Cheryl was super communicative and had stocked the house with everything I could possibly need- gear for any kind of excursion, plenty of cookware, extra linens, even toothbrushes in case you forget. Perfect as a home base for exploring the area or for a quiet retreat. Also has an amazing, spacious kitchen, so great if you like to cook!

Great place to stay! About an hour from Bar Harbor and close to restaurants. Right on the water. Had a great time- would stay here again for sure.

Words cannot express how much my husband and I enjoyed Chelsea's cottage. It was everything and more in what we were hoping for. Chelsea and her husband went out of their way to help provide us with a truly authentic experience as we wrapped up our 2 week road trip through Maine. We highly recommend without hesitation the area, the cottage and gracious hospitality we received.

I loved my stay and Salisbury Camp. I was there in October during peak foliage and the view from every window was just stunning! The interior is beautiful, everything is high-end and well-done. Huge kitchen that had everything I needed. The yard is right on the shore, there’s a solo stove, kayaks and a canoe, and it’s just a peaceful spot to relax. Jenny was very helpful and proactive in all communications, and even provided welcome treats from Stonewall Kitchen, along with a bottle of wine. I had to leave a day early due to a family medical emergency and she was so thoughtful and kind. My only regret is that I didn’t get to use one of the kayaks to explore the pond. Next time! I definitely plan to return, this is such a wonderful spot!

Rock was extremely responsive which is always appreciated. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. It is very clean and well put together. We really enjoyed our stay!
