Great place to enjoy a peaceful time. Mountain views and swimming pool as a bonus. The location is close to the highway and ~1h away from diverse natural sceneries and cities. A car is needed to go about, Internet is not the best but OK when it worked, the sewage can also let some unwanted smells out but not a terrible thing considering that you are in a cottage in the middle of the forest like Hill. Overall the place is recommended!

Wir wurden sehr freundlich von Benny empfangen und haben uns allgemein sehr wohlgefühlt in der Wohnung. Die Lage ist super, kurzer Weg zum Strand, zwei kleine Supermärkte und ein gutes Restaurant in der Nähe und mit dem Auto ist es zu vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten auch nicht weit. Die Wohnung selbst war genau wie beschrieben, sehr sauber und gut geschnitten. Auch die Klimaanlage hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Wenn wir Hilfe benötigten, war Benny gut erreichbar. Falls es mich nochmal nach Kreta verschlägt, komme ich gerne wieder nach Stalida :-)

Notre découverte à Akoumia d’une famille gréco-crétoise formidable nous a émus. Il s’agit de Dimitra et Costas. La réception a été au delà de notre attente. Nous avons trouvé un logement avec tout le nécessaire en arrivant: cuisine, salle de bain, couchage, serviettes de bain… La nourriture prise au restaurant, géré par Dimitra, est issue de la ferme-culture-élevage (chèvres, moutons), gérée par Costas. Elle est biologique. Voici ce que l’on trouve: vin, raki, lait de chèvre, viande, légumes… produits de qualité sains. Dithyrambique, c’est le mot non usurpé. Akoumia est un village crétois typique. 3 églises dans un parcours de 200 mètres! Une voiture est nécessaire pour visiter, faire les courses. Les plages, très jolies, sont à une vingtaine de minutes. Nous avons vécu dans un roman de Kazantsakis le Grec. Merci infiniment à Dimitra et Kostas Nous conseillons vivement cet hébergement.

An enchanting accommodation in a beautiful and peaceful location. We found very sweet people in the other two houses, and the tables outside and poolside provided a perfect space to have great breakfasts and day-long relaxing chat with each other. The relative isolation of the location provides tranquility and allows you to admire a million stars at night. At the same time, in just 5' by car you reach the village of Vamos where you can find minimarkets, great tavernas and also a great cafeteria/breakfast place (the Ano Kato). Mikela - the host - can be contacted in a matter of minutes and is very helpful. We hope to come back in this magical place at some point in the future.

We (father, two children) booked Yanna's house for 9 days in April 2025. Yanna and her husband Yiannis gave us a warm welcome, and check-in was very easy. The house is beautifully situated on a hillside with an east-facing view toward the sunrise. You quickly learn to appreciate breakfast on the patio! The house was very clean, equipped with everything you need, and had comfortable beds. The highlight is certainly the outdoor area, which has been lovingly designed. The old coastal road is below the property, and traffic can be a bit annoying during the day on weekdays. However, it is quiet at night and on the weekends. A car is essential; it's a 10-15-minute drive to Agios Nikolaos (pleanty of restaurants and supermarkets). Yanna can give good tips for restaurants in the area. Cretan hospitality is well known, but Yanna and Yiannis have taken it to the next level!

Nous avons passé une semaine chez Mikela et Nikos. Si vous cherchez un endroit paisible et typique, n’hésitez pas! La propriété est vraiment très agréable, à quelques kilomètres de 2 villages très sympas avec de très bonnes tavernas. Les guesthouses sont typiques et charmantes, la piscine très agréable. Mikela et Nikos sont aux petits soins, très réactifs tant par message que sur place en cas de besoin. On recommande!

Unser Aufenthalt bei Yanna war einfach grossartig. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, in guten Betten geschlafen, den Ausblick von der schönen Terrasse genossen und unsere Kinder haben auf dem Spielplatz liebend gern gespielt. Yanna war immer freundlich und sehr gut erreichbar, hat uns z.B. auch einen guten Arzt empfohlen. Wir würden immer wieder kommen! Ps: der Garten mit den blühenden Blumen ist ein Traum

Vor Ort hat uns eine sehr nette Dame empfangen, die uns tolle Ausflugstipps gegeben hat. Sie war jeden Tag für Fragen und Empfehlungen da und hat sich viel Zeit für die Gäste genommen. Außerdem war die gesamte Anlage sehr sauber und gepflegt. Am Stand gibt es kostenlose liegen mit Schirmen, an denen wir fast immer für uns waren. Zu Fuß kann man mehrere nette Tavernen direkt am Stand erreichen. Über Claudia haben wir einen Mietwagen gebucht, welchen wir täglich genutzt haben und somit empfehlen würden.

Mary a été une hôte réactive avec des propos clairs et des photos conformes en tous points à la réalité. Le logement, très spacieux et propre, se trouve en-dehors de la ville, très au calme, au milieu des oliviers. En contre-partie, il faut être véhiculé car l'appartement se trouve en haut d'une colline ! Accueil impeccable par Dimitri qui nous a donné de bons conseils. Amis des animaux, vous serez dans votre élément dans ce logement avec la compagnie plaisante et non intrusive des 🐱 et 🐕.... Très bon point de chute pour visiter le Nord-Ouest de la Crête.

This place is in a great location in Rethymno, not terribly far from parking as old town goes yet also in a nice quiet street by being convenient to a lot to do. Had a very modern feel, plenty of bathrooms and such a cool bohemian feeling back porch. Good value for 2 couples staying in Rethymno.

This place was conveniently located near Old Town Chania (10 min drive) to explore but still private and quiet enough away from the busy Old Town. It was very clean and had all the listed amenities. The host was always responsive at all times whenever we had questions or needed assistance. We liked the location of the place since it made it easier to explore the western side of Crete like Falasarna Beach. Highly recommend this place for future stay!

What a perfect spot to spend holiday! It was very hard to leave this incredible place. This airbnb has provided us with the best holiday memories. We could not have asked for a better holiday home. Nectarios is such a kind and helpful host all the way through, very hospitable! Aptera was the perfect spot for us to spend a vacation on Crete. Easy to reach every place on Crete with a car, and the local tavernas just a short walk from the house provided us with a perfect local feeling. We hope to be back one day!

Beautiful place, great accommodation, friendly staff with great fast response, loved the place

We had a great time. The hosts are always reachable and willing to help with everything. Our bag didn't was delayed, so we had to arrange for delivery 2 days later. Dimitra and Dimitris were very helpful and the bag arrived at Dimitris' place in Kissamos (since we were not at home to wait for it), and Arianna (mother) delivered it. We arrived very late (the flight landed at 9 pm and then we had to figure out the missing luggage), so it was close to midnight when we go there. Arianna was waiting for us, showed us everything, and we found a wonderful house stocked with fruit, a basket of local eggs, watermelon, honey, oil, etc. The place is conveniently located with a short drive (15 min) to the beach (Falasarna is the best), hikes (run from the house or hike through the olive groves) and taverns (20 min walk to the first one and 30 to 4 others). We didn't use air conditioners, but it worked fine if needed. Beds were very comfortable. Internet was great for watching Olympics and zooming.

L' appartement est très propre et spacieux avec tout le nécessaire à disposition. La grande terrasse, vue mer, est très agréable. Facile à trouver. G. est serviable et disponible si besoin. Nous recommandons sans hésiter.

Alexandros est un hôte très chaleureux et généreux. Il est aux petits soins. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, dans un appartement tout confort et impeccable. Accessibilité à la petite plage la plus proche, très agréable. A 15 min de Chania et 10min de plusieurs autres plages. Je recommande, en famille ou entre amis. C’était super.

Our Stay here was absolutely beautiful! The beach is very close, there are a lot of nice Restaurants in town and the place is great. The woman who looks after the property, Maria, is extremely sweet and caring. Thank you so much for having us!

This property was lovely!! It had everything we needed, was clean, location was great and communication was excellent. Unfortunately the beaches were too windy for our liking and because we have small children it makes it difficult but that can’t be helped. I do recommend to anyone on this site to always communicate with the host and request exact address link to be sent to you for the directions situation. Definitely recommend this property 😄

Helga hat mich persönlich & herzlich empfangen, hab‘ mich direkt wohlgefühlt. Das ist auch den ganzen Aufenthalt so geblieben - sie hat immer gefragt, ob alles in Ordnung sei und ob ich etwas brauche. Wir hatten schöne Gespräche und amüsante Plaudereien. Das weiß ich sehr zu schätzen, auch, da ich alleine gereist bin. Helga hatte Tipps zu Ausflügen & Restaurants abseits der Touristenmassen, sodass ich ein „persönlicheres‘ Bild von der Insel bekommen habe. Ich glaube, „zu Gast bei Freunden“ trifft es sehr gut! Die Unterkunft - das Loft - ist traumhaft und besser als auf den Fotos! Gut ausgestattet, sauber und gemütlich! Du Terrasse ist einfach der Hammer und lädt zum Entspannen ein. Mit Blick auf Berge und Meer ein kleines Paradies! Und Abendessen mit Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang mit einem Glas Wein - einfach schön. Wer es ruhiger und persönlicher mag, ist hier genau richtig! :) Danke für die tolle Zeit!

Ένα πολύ όμορφο και άνετο διαμερισμα, καλά διαμορφωμένος σαν χώρος τόσο εσωτερικά όσο και εξωτερικά, με ωραία διακόσμηση. Ιδανική τοποθεσία, με μεγάλη ευκολία στο παρκάρισμα. Η φιλοξενία εξαιρετική, θα ήθελα πολύ να μείνω ξανά εκεί, σας το προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα.

Maria und Stelios waren sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und haben uns persönlich beim Check-In empfangen. Auch während des Aufenthalts haben sie sich gekümmert und uns sogar zwischendurch lokale Spezialitäten auf die Terrasse gelegt. Die Wohnung war aussergewöhlich schön. Die Küche ist sehr groß und gut ausgestattet. Auf der großen Terrasse haben wir gerne gegessen und auf dem zusätzlichen, ebenfalls großen Balkon Kaffee getrunken. Terrasse und Balkon sind ausschließlich für die Wohnung und mit genügend Sonnenschutz ausgestattet, der auch Privatsphäre bietet. Die Wohnung ist super gelegen. Zum Strand sind es nur 3 Minuten zu Fuß. Dort findet man auch jede Menge Gelegenheiten zum Essen oder Kaffee trinken. Der Supermarkt ist ebenfalls zu Fuß sehr nah. Es gibt zudem unzählige kleinere Supermärkte, Bäckereien und andere Läden in der Nachbarschaft. Alles ist ohne Auto erreichbar. Zu Fuß in die Altstadt sind es ca. 20 Minuten. Wir sind oft mit dem Bus gefahren (5 Min).
