Holiday rentals with a pool in Decentralized Administration of Crete

What a wonderful place for a peaceful few days! The view is breathtaking and the area is just beautiful. The villa is extremely well appointed and has every amenity you could ask for, including a fantastic salt water pool. Hora Sfakion is a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk away and has a choice of shops and tavernas all serving great food. My partner and I stayed with our young baby daughter and Alexandra and Lefteris couldn’t have been more helpful setting up a cot and high chair for our arrival.

Gorgeous view and beautiful property. Hope to make it back again to visit this peaceful paradise in Crete.

This house is absolutely stunning! It is even more impressive in person than in the photos. The view took our breath away every morning ! The house is about 10 minutes from Kissamos which is the small town where we bought food to cook at home. I do advise renting a car to get to the surrounding towns and beaches. The host, Ria, was incredibly communicative prior to our arrival and just as accommodating once we got there. Our flight was delayed and we didn’t arrive until almost midnight. She was so kind to provide us with food and coffee for breakfast as well as some olive oil made from her family’s business. Ria was so welcoming and helpful! We felt very safe and at peace in the house (we visited with our 3 children who are 7, 10, and 11). This was by far our favorite vacation and we look forward to returning! We highly recommend! 🙌🏻

We had a wonderful time in the villa. Manolis was always very helpful and provided us support whenever we needed. I would absolutly recommend the villa. Especially the view is outstanding

We had a wonderful time at this house! It is just like in the pictures – very clean, lovingly furnished and in a great location. The king-size beds are very comfortable. The contact with the hosts was friendly, respectful and absolutely smooth from the beginning. A small, warm welcome gift was already waiting in the kitchen: honey, olive oil, biscuits and raki – a very nice gesture! The view of the sea is beautiful. It should be noted that the house is very noisy. It is located on a small residential street, but cars drive by and you can hear them in bed, especially in the morning. During our stay, we were even surprised with fresh eggs and oranges from their own production. As a farewell, there was more honey and a bottle of raki - simply wonderful! The hosts were always available, helpful and extremely hospitable. Thank you for everything!

Simply stunning apartment, glorious views and easy access to the little village of Kalyves. We spent most days by the pool and evenings eating at the many restaurants by the beach. The apartment is beautiful and well equipped, the views from the living room are stunning. Eleni is an attentive and very responsive host who looked after us extremely well. We will be back very soon!

A gem and a beautiful retreat in southern Crete. The villa has everything your heart desires, a beautiful view, pool and a modern kitchen that makes every heart of a hobby cook beat faster. I will miss the morning and evening bath in the pool with the view. Since it has almost no light pollution, you can see a starry sky and the Milky Way with the naked eye. Secluded beaches are easily accessible by car within 30 minutes, so a car is highly recommended. Doesn't have to be an SUV. Sam is available at any time and communicates very quickly. Furthermore, he or Lefteris are always available with tips and advice. Sam and Anel are more than super hosts and I can recommend their villa villa 200%.

We loved our time here. Recently renovated with care, the house strikes a balance between modern comfort and historic charm. It’s spacious, thoughtfully designed, and finished to a high standard. Located in the quaint village of Gerani, about a 10 minute drive from Rethymno, we genuinely appreciated being outside the city and immersed in the village atmosphere. Gerani has everything you need — a supermarket, great bakeries, and a few solid restaurants — our favourite being Maxis. The village also has easy access to the highway, which made it a perfect base for day trips to beaches and nearby towns, all while skipping the congestion of Rethymno. Damnoni and Kalypso beaches on the southern coast were a highlight. We found everyone we communicated with very nice and easy to deal with. Worth the stay!

We had a wonderful week staying in Michalis’ apartment. Views from both balconies from Apartment Two were spectacular, panoramic of the Amari Valley and Mount Ida still snow capped in the background. The apartment was immaculate and suited our needs very well. Any additional requests were dealt with swiftly. We mainly catered for ourselves in the morning and had two lovely breakfasts in Michalis’ Taverna. Meronas is a pretty village and enjoyed meals at Taverna’s Alona & Moschovolies. There was great hiking from the doorstep and only a short drive to Patsos Gorge. There is an excellent patisserie and supermarket in Gerikari a short drive away and supermarkets and pharmacy in Agia Fotini, 2.5 km away. We stayed end of April which was great as not too hot to hike but be aware many Taverna’s closed this time of year as off season. Would highly recommend a stay at Michalis’ apartments, another unforgettable holiday for us!

The views are even more stunning in person. Lovely apartment a few minutes walk to restaurants and close to the centre of the town.

Excellent stay, with flexible check-in at any time and parking. A car is required, it is 10 minutes from the center of Chania. Impeccable pool, outdoor space very well used. The interior is not very large, but excellent with all the necessary amenities, even with treats that the owners left. I would definitely recommend hosting!

Fantastic place. Great views from the sun terrace overlooking the bay, so could sit and watch boats and cruise ships on their way to Chania. Only 5 mins walk down a gentle hill to the beach, shops & restaurants. Felt very private, although there were other apartments there, it is laid out so you are not overlooked. Everything was spotlessly clean on arrival and apartment staff were there every day keeping the pool and surrounding areas clean & tidy. Gas BBQ on the terrace was great. Good choice of restaurants along the beach, as well as a few small supermarkets in the centre. 40 mins drive from the airport and well positioned for visiting Chania (which was beautiful) and exploring the area. We had a thoroughly relaxing stay and have already recommended it to friends, and would definitely stay again. Kreta Eiendom's team were very responsive, when we had a small issue during our stay.

It was super nice here. We were warmly welcomed and communication went smoothly. The place is as pictured. You're a bit up the mountain, which is super nice because it's much quieter there. The city and the beach are within walking distance. We were very satisfied.

Lovely place, amazing size and private pool! A few nice bars and restaurants walking distance and easy to get a taxi if needed to get into town. Host was so friendly and responsive.

Despina was a very helpful and communicative host who responded to all questions very quickly. The apartment is situated in the hills with a view of the sea. Rethymno is an easy 10 minute car journey away. It was very nice to sit outside in the evening, on the patio next to the swimming pool, and watch the sunset and the sea. The private swimming pool is small but fine for a refreshing dip after a day of exploring. The kids liked it. The apartment is a good size and includes all the equipment you would find in your house (washing machine, oven, microwave, clothes iron...). This makes it very practical. Overall it was a comfortable place to stay and a convenient base from which to explore the area around Rethymno.

Great week spent just relaxing and had everything we needed. Pool was a great relief to the heat and visiting the local supermarket meant we cooked several times int he bbq and had breakfast looking over the views. Communication was great through out with some good recommendations. Loved that we had a mid week set of new towels / sheets and rubbish removed. It was just what we wanted - relaxed in a lovely location close to amenities . Thank you x

The property is beautiful and location just perfect just a 15mins bus ride to the harbor which is full of nice restaurants and shops etc. The property is a short walk to the beautiful beaches with a few beach bars with nice food and drink and restaurant not far away with very nice food. Thanks Angelos for all the assistance and recommendations of place to go

Really lovely stay. The air BnB was very clean and pleasant and the hosts were friendly. They had also bought some spare pool toys for my son. They gave us great recantations of places to eat and visit. Villa is a little outside of chania but we managed without a car. Really lovely stay, thank you!

Absolutely incredible stay at the villa very opulent from the minute the gate opens . So spacious,5 of us stayed for 1 week and the villa was just perfect. Absolutely brilliant host, so helpful and house is beautiful

We had such a lovely stay at Manolis’ house. Our family of 7 (incliding a 2 & 5 year old & my 75 yo mom) all loved our visit. Manolis met us and gave us such a warm welcome with so many local tips and recommendations. It was even more beautiful then the photos and full od beautiful family heirlooms. The village of Amari is beautiful and peaceful and the villa is perfectly located in the middle of the village right next to the taverna. The views are amazing, the pool an numerous patios are gorgeous with stunning views and it is so peaceful and private. There were so many lovely complementary foods from the local vendors on arrival which made us feel right at home. Rumy cooked us the most amazing meals we had in the region that were so incredibly delicious! Do not miss her meals! She modified multiple dishes for our dietary restrictions. She is truly a masterful chef and such a wonderfully warm person. Our kids loved the home, pool, outdoor cats & Rumy! Everyone was so kid friendly!

We had a great stay in Crete in Atsipopoulo. The location is really great - since Atsipopulo is near the middle of the island, it's just about 1 hour to either Heraklion or Chania. It's also quick to get to the south side of Crete. We rented a car and were able to find parking near by consistently during our stay in May. We were told by other guests that the bus to Rethymo was easy but we don't have personal experience with this. Within walking distance is a grocery store, several restaurants and bakeries. The restaurants are mostly fast food, but just up the road are some great tavernas. Manolis is a great host and responded to all of our questions. Our room was cleaned weekly. We enjoyed our room very much, but what really made us love our stay was all of the common spaces. The rooftop was our favorite place to relax as well as get some work done. There are also friendly cats, which was a huge plus for us.
