Amazing terrace, felt private and had nice views on the sea and mountains. Great communication with the host.

Such a beautiful home, with an amazing view of the mountains! Perfect view of the Milky Way at night from the private balcony. The home was extremely clean and well decorated. The air conditioning was modern, functional and very welcoming after long days at the beach. The bed was soft and very comfortable. If you don’t mind narrow, winding roads up the mountain, it is the perfect place to stay! 40 minutes drive to Chania, and within 2 hours drive of most major, popular beaches. Nikos was very kind, responsive, and welcoming. Thanks to his hospitality, my stay in Crete was an outstanding experience!

Logement impeccable, belle petite maison rénovée avec goût. Le jacuzzi est très agréable surtout à cette période ou une fois la nuit tombée la température tombe vite! Nous remercions les hôtes pour leurs petites attention. Ideale pour y rester quelques jours en famille! Seul petit point négatif, la route principale du village un peu passante devant le logement (ne pas hésiter à fermer le portillon à clé avec des enfants!) cependant, une fois à l'intérieur celui ci est très bien insonorisé.

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in dem Haus und haben uns von Anfang an total wohl gefühlt. Die Umgebung und die Aussicht ist einfach traumhaft. Der Pool ist unbeschreiblich. Es ist wirklich ein toller Ort, um zu entspannen und sich zu erholen. Zunächst wollten wir nur eine Woche bleiben, haben dann aber den Aufenthalt sogar noch verlängert. Dank des tollen Gastgebers war das kein Problem. Vielen Dank für dieses wunderbare Urlaubserlebnis. Wir kommen bestimmt nochmal wieder ;-).

Die Wohnung und die Lage waren unschlagbar gut. Auch der Check-in war super organisiert. Wir würden es jederzeit wieder buchen.

Die Villa liegt wunderschön in einer Sackgasse am Berg des kleinen Örtchens Armenoi. Alles ist prima gepflegt, sauber und stimmungsvoll. Alle Sanitärfunktionen sind sehr gut in Schuss, die Küche gut incl. Spülmaschine ausgestattet und die Schlafbereiche gepflegt. Der Grill hat tadellos funktioniert und Kohle und Anzünder lagen bereit. Die Kommunikation mit Elina war toll, sehr hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Ein PKW ist unverzichtbar, wenn man mal ans Meer möchte ( 8 min. Fahrzeit nach Kalyves ). Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen und somit auch besten Gewissens weiterempfehlen.

Beautiful location in the heart of Crete - easy to get anywhere on ghe island from here. Very quiet and private small mountain village, very comfortable homw that was very clean and perfectly furnished. Stavros was an amazing host , very attentive (but not interruptive), brought us multiple local delights & fresh produce. This is a fantastic place to comfoortanly relax without being too far away from all of the action on the beaches. Highly recommend!

This is my family’s second time staying with casa magnolia and believe me when I say you really will not find a more generous, loving, and friendly family who genuinely care about your comfort and want to show you the beautiful hospitality that Crete is known for. We were overjoyed to see them again and are very thankful that this family has chosen to share their little paradise on earth with the world. The home is spotless clean, organized, beautifully decorated and in a countryside location that is unique and breathtaking. The owners, without asking, went out of their way to buy us essential groceries and prepare delicious local food and drink for when we arrived. We are grateful for this! Bed linens are of high quality and freshly laundered professionally and were much appreciated after a long day out and about in Chania. Bathrooms are exceptionally clean and so is the rest of the house. We will never hesitate to visit again and hope to do so in future because of this family. ❤

Our stay in Agios Ioannis at Luisa’s traditional Cretan cottage was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had! How to sum it up in one review… To start, Luisa was so friendly and helpful when it came to giving us directions to get to the remote village, a flexible check-in time, and TONS of local recommendations. The house itself was spectacular. The patio views of the mountains and sea were absolutely breathtaking and the garden was a private and lovely spot to spend our mornings in. Truly a sacred place, we felt very at home and loved the traditional charm and being so close to nature. We were still within a 15 minute drive to lots of great beaches, restaurants, markets, and hikes, despite being so high up in the mountains. Luisa provided us with everything we needed to have a very special getaway, even inviting us over for dinner in our last night. Cannot thank her enough. If you are looking for the perfect place to experience Crete, this is it! We cannot wait to return!

The cottage is a truly lovely accommodation situated in a calm neighbourhood right by the beach. The beautiful garden with olive trees is a highlight, we had a great time eating breakfast on the sunny terrace. The cottage itself is small but very cozy, perfect for a couple. It has everything you need to cook simple meals. There is also an outdoor shower, and space to park the car in the shade on the property. Highly recommended!

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt bei Sifis. Obwohl die Unterkunft klein ist, war sie wirklich fein und gemütlich. Wir haben uns direkt wohlgefühlt. Die Kommunikation mit Sifis lief schnell und freundlich.

We stayed at the cottage at the end of September during our Honeymoon trip to Crete. The place is a jewel nestled into the hillside, with a beautiful view of Falassarna and the northwest coast, especially at sunset. I agree with other reviews that the photos don't do it justice - it's a quaint and lovely place. It had everything we needed during our stay, including a well stocked kitchen, linens/towels, toiletries, and a ceiling fan + air conditioning in the large bedroom. The place was also perfectly clean! The location is great too - a less than 10 minute drive to Falassarna beach, and in the evenings, you can walk to some of the nearby restaurants, or drive a little further for more delicious options. But by far the greatest thing was our host/neighbor Irene. She was incredibly helpful, friendly, welcoming, and gave us tips for places to eat and visit during our stay. She made the place feel like home :) We highly recommend this place and hope to visit again!

Das wunderschöne Haus aus traditionellem Naturstein liegt idyllisch mitten in einem großen Olivenhain. Zu allen Seiten um das Haus herum besteht die Möglichkeit, sonnige oder schattige Plätze am Haus zu nutzen. Abends genossen wir das Konzert der Zikaden. Die Einrichtung und Ausstattung ist komfortabel und geschmackvoll, bequeme Betten und eine gute Ausstattung der Küche. Wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Yiorgos hat uns liebevoll über alles informiert und viele tolle Tipps gegeben. Das Haus liegt nah am Meer, zu kleinen Ortschaften und man ist schnell an wunderschönen Wanderwegen. Den Rundweg zum ältesten Ölbaum sollte man nicht versäumen. Ein wirklich empfehlenswertes Ferienhaus.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit im Olive House von Stefanie und Zacharias. Umgeben von Olivenbäumen haben wir einerseits die Ruhe genossen, zudem wussten wir die fußläufige Nähe zum Ort Agia Galini zu schätzen. Die Unterkunft war sehr gepflegt, geschmackvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet und hatte alles zu bieten, was wir uns als Selbstversorger wünschen - insbesondere auch in der Küche. Wanderungen und Strandbesuche waren vom Haus weg möglich. Zur Triapetra-Wanderung sind wir auch einmal angefahren. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war von Beginn an sehr sympathisch. Der persönliche Austausch vor Ort sowie die Begegnungen mit der kleinen Hündin Lucie, die uns ab und zu freundlich begrüßen kam, haben uns willkommen und zu Hause fühlen lassen. Wir danken Stefanie und Zacharias abschließend ganz herzlich für ihre Fürsorge und Gastfreundschaft.

Unsere Zeit in Varvaras Haus war toll und wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Angefangen mit der persönlichen Begrüßung durch Varvaras Mutter mit lokalen Produkten (Olivenöl, Raki) und selbstgemachter Marmelade, Kuchen, Plätzchen und einer leckeren Tarte. Das Haus liegt etwas außerhalb auf einem großen Grundstück mit einem großartig angelegten Garten. Auch das Haus ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet. Alles was wir benötigten war vorhanden. Von den Terrassen aus hat man einen fantastischen Blick auf die Berge und das Meer. Von dort aus lassen sich mit dem Auto viele Ausflugsziele sehr gut erreichen. Die Kommunikation mit Varvaras Mutter war super und sie stand jederzeit mit Rat zur Seite.

Tout était fait avec du coeur, accueil vraiment très chaleureux, frigo rempli, gâteau maison. Nous avons remarqué tous les jolis détails, linge de lit brodé main , jardin soigné, salles de bain remplies de produits etc. Nous nous sommes sentis très bien dans cette maison et ne pouvons que recommander cette adresse. L’emplacement à l’écart de l’agitation touristique nous a permis de faire une pause , il y a des tavernes et restaurants à proximité, et la belle plage de Phalassarna est à deux pas. Nous reviendrions avec plaisir , merci pour tout

wat een prachtige plek aan de voet van Kastri met zicht op de bergen. Het huisje is piekfijn verzorgd. De ontvangst was gastvrij. We zijn verliefd op de prachtige Tamarisk in de tuin. We hopen hier weer terug te komen.

Schöne ruhige Unterkunft mit viel Privatsphäre trotz mehrere cottages. Der Pool Bereich war sehr groß und gepflegt . Insgesamt ein schöner Aufenthalt. Wir sind vielen tierischen Freunden begegnet was uns sehr gefreut hat

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt - herrliche Alleinlage mit tollem, ruhigem Strand direkt die Straße herunter.

Eine der schönsten Unterkünfte in der wir bisher waren! Das kleine Haus ist abgelegen, komplette Ruhe & entschleunigung! Wir haben die Tage hier sehr genossen, die Terrasse unterm Haus lädt dazu ein in der Sonne zu liegen, zu lesen und den Ausblick zu genießen. Der Ausblick ist grandios, sogar vom Bett aus. Der Weg ist abenteuerlich und nichts für schwache Nerven mit dem Auto - extrem steil und eher für Geländewagen, wir haben es aber hingekriegt auch mit einem kleinen Mietwagen. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet und alles was man braucht ist da. Nach Mochlos ist es zu Fuß ca. 15 Minuten! Sehr empfehlenswert für alle die Ruhe suchen!

Het huis van Katherina is fantastisch en wij voelden ons meer dan welkom bij deze ontzettend lieve gastvrouw. Alles in het huis is onberispelijk schoon en kwalitatief hoogwaardig afgewerkt. Men kan in een oogopslag zien dat het huis door een architect ontworpen is. Katherina houdt van bloemen en planten en heeft om het huis een mooie tuin gecreëerd die zij liefdevol verzorgt. En zo zorgt zij ook voor haar gasten. Wij werden steeds weer met fruit uit eigen tuin en zelfgemaakte lekkernijen verwend. Bedankt Katharina!!!

Very pleasant house. Rather high up, therefore quieter surroundings. The lovely furnishings make you feel at home, much more personal than in a hotel. The neighbor has a free-roaming dog. As I am personally rather afraid of dogs, this was a challenge for me. To mention: he is friendly but curious, which was partly pleasant but still scary for me. Thank you for your hospitality and I can well imagine coming back.

We loved staying at Notos. Great view. Peaceful surroundings, punctuated only be nature. The house was very clean and lots of nice touches like olive oil and Aspa’s mum’s delicious liquour. Very good communication. Two villages walking distance with typical Greek tavernas. Thank you!

We hebben 6 dagen doorgebracht in het huis van Maria. Eva en nikolas hebben ons erg hartelijk ontvangen en alles uitgelegd. Er stonden ook koekjes, wijn, raki en ander lekkers klaar, heel lief! Het huis ligt direct aan een klein strandje. Hier konden we lekker zwemmen en spelen met de kinderen. Klein nadeel is dat het huis in een gebied ligt met veel tuinbouw met lelijke kassen en dat je niet vanuit het huis ergens geen kan te voet. Verder was alles perfect. Mirthos is dichtbij en gezellig. Verder kan je er in de buurt door een spannende kloof wandelen en een waterval bezoeken.
