Really lovely stay. Nice space. You will not be disappointed. Host was very accommodating.

Spacious and comfortable beach house perfect for large families. The four bathrooms (two upstairs and two downstairs) were a bonus. We were 8 adults and 3 children (10-12years) and there never was any queueing! Perfect views from two of the three upstairs bedrooms, as well as the open plan kitchen/dining room and living room. Plenty of warm blankets provided for the chilly evenings and cold nights in winter. The large downstairs playroom with two bunkbeds on one end, pool/table tennis table in the middle, and small sitting area on the other end, worked really well for the three boys and serves as the fifth bedroom. The fourth bedroom is accessed from this playroom and has an ensuite bathroom. Check-in was super easy and Sarel next door was friendly and helpful. The house provided everything we needed and is great value for the price. We can definitely recommend Jonathan's place!

We had a wonderful stay at Thalassa! Beautiful beach cabin with everything we needed. Awesome location and so peaceful. Sally was a great host and pro-active in all the communication.

Amazing house with great views over the ocean. Located within a stonethrow of the beach with easy access to all Hermanus has to offer. Fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of crashing waves. Has every amenity you could need to make your stay comfortable and our dogs absolutely loved it too !

We had a fantastic family weekend. The house was clean, comfortable, and perfectly equipped for a relaxing stay. The location is peaceful and just a short walk to the beach and shops. Highly recommend for a family getaway — we’ll definitely be back!

Elke's farmhouse was the perfect place for our family reunion. We needed somewhere where we could all just hang out and catch up and this was the perfect spot with exquisite views. The house is spacious, with very tasteful and quirky decor which we loved. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Elke gave very clear access instructions and we were warmly greeted by the farm manager. Thank you for a wonderful weekend, Elke!

Gail is such a lovely hostess, she did so much extra effort for us, and the house is so well equipped with everything you will need. And the house was very clean. Thank you so much, we enjoyed our stay so much.

My family has a great time at Cara’s. The house is spacious and comfortable. Our two dogs were safe and couldn’t escape the property while enjoying downtime during the day. Close the beach and central Hermanus (a good launchpad).

So enjoyed our weekend away! It was peaceful and we had beautiful weather as well - which was surprising for June. Walking distance to and from the beach. Enjoyed the fire pit area and chats around the fire and the pool. Good kitchen facilities and sleeping accommodation. Everything was clean. The neighborhood also felt safe. Claudette is also a very good host - very helpful and responsive with queries pre-check-in and throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend!

We had the most wonderful stay at India’s home in Hermanus (which with its expansive land so close to the sea felt like an estate). India was a delight to communicate with; responsive, friendly and helpful. Anton, the house manager is also great, and apart from being friendly and helpful, also looks after the house in an unobtrusive way such that it almost seems by magic that the house is cleaned, the fire is lit etc. We also had our dog with us which I felt was made to feel most welcome. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Hermanus!

We loved our stay at Lydia's place in Hermanus. Beautiful mountain views, garden and birds, and direct access to mountain walks whilst reasonably close to Voelklip beach. It had all the amenities that our family needed and a lovely authentic and rustic feel.

We stayed here for a weekend getaway and had an amazing time.The house was spotless and exactly as described. We especially loved the quiet surroundings and the beautiful view.,we had games and the house is so big ,clean and kitchen has everything.The host was super helpful and made check-in easy..The only small issue we had was the inverter kept on tripping but they fixed it for us we enjoyed our stay . Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend away for group of friends or family, I will not mind coming back again .

Lovely home and very very well equipped with absolutely everything we needed. Best part was that we had load shedding and the house has a continuous power supply so no down time re power availability.. Dolf and Suzette were perfect hosts and responded within minutes and allowed us a late checkout . Loads of entertainment space, a gorgeous plunge pool(the beach is a short stroll away). We would definately return. Thank yiu for a wonderful long weekend. Only negative was it was too short.....

What a lovely, tranquil, and peaceful stay! The home was spotless and truly one of the best and most well-equipped places we’ve ever stayed in. From the spacious and comfortable bedrooms to the pristine bathrooms and the thoughtful amenities throughout, everything was designed to make our stay incredibly enjoyable and stress-free. Even though the weather wasn’t the best- the home was so cosy to spend in doors as well, but definitely booking it during summertime to get to experience it then as well. Overall, a fantastic experience—10/10, would definitely recommend, with a lovely host/cohost to make it a great experience.

A gem of a spot. Even better than the photos. Spacious. Really well and thoughtfully designed and curated. Loved the art work, the outside space was fantastic and the kitchen was very well equipped. We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property—though calling it a "cottage" feels like an understatement, as it's actually a spacious, stunning home. There were three adults, two kids, and two dogs in our group, and the location was perfect for everyone. At one point, my dogs managed to find a way out of the fenced area (they only ventured into the farm, not off the property), which turned out to be a minor inconvenience due to the burrs they picked up. However, the team quickly took care of re-securing the fence. The staff was exceptional and incredibly attentive, even going above and beyond by cleaning my car without being asked. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the daily visits from the beautiful herd of cows- such a charming touch! We absolutely loved it! I highly recommend this property- truly outstanding in every way.

The loved the beach shack at Franskraal and had a very relaxing stay as a family. We have stayed in some fancy 5 star hotels individually & as a family, so this was a refreshingly different alternatives. If you want 5 star luxury this house won’t work for you. But if you can rough it as a family like we can, then this will be a good stay for fishing, swimming at Franskraal or Pearly Beach or cycling. Even though it is one of the oldest original beach houses at Franskraal, we found it relaxing and adequate for a 5 day stay. Nice simply to braai in the evenings & to relax and enjoy the sea views. Good memories as a family here….thanks

Wayne and Dallias cottage was a piece of heaven - with views to die for! Tracy was a fabulous hostess! We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!

Waking up to a sea view was a treat, but the real surprise was discovering a cupboard full of old board games and puzzles I remembered from my childhood. We had such fun playing together as a family. Long beach walks, friendly chats with locals — it all added to the charm. It’s not fancy, but it’s full of heart. A magical spot by the sea, perfect for making memories with the kids.
