Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Dawlish

The Lair is a lovely Air BnB close enough to the coast and Salcombe to enjoy the area, but far enough away to avoid the crowds (and price tag!). We ate there a couple of nights and the kitchen facilities were great. Walkable (but uphill) from Hope Cove where we had sourdough pizza on the beach from a local converted horse trailer. The garden is fully enclosed which was brilliant - so nice to be able to let the dog out for a wee without having to wander around in PJs and slippers in public with him on a lead! The car parking is also within the enclosed space so letting the dog in and out of the car was also convenient and safe. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit the South Devon coast.

I was staying for work purposes so cannot comment on what there is to do nearby etc, there is a cafe directly opposite unfortunately I was unable to try it as I was setting out before they opened and I only got back once when they were still open but only 10 minutes before they closed lol. Tim's place is like the photos, it was very warm weather and whilst the porch got hot inside stayed cool which was appreciated :). Tea and Coffee with a small amount of milk was provided, which after a long drive was appreciated. A thick folder is provided with lots of local information. WiFi was great which I needed for work purposes, the shower was great and the bed was very comfy which my back can cause issues but not here, there were even sensor lights in the bedroom and hall which came on with movement which helps when it's not your home lol (I have learnt this and bring my own which I did not need to use). I would recommend and I hope to stay again when next working in the area.

A delightful secluded residence facing out over farmland. Although there is a farm and there are homes in converted farm buildings close by, you would hardly know they were there; the property has a separate entrance to the main farm that it shares with one other dwelling, which again you would hardly know was there. The property is as described and well equipped. Although the garden is very small, this is not really a problem with so much open countryside on the doorstep. Rich George was very helpful, responding quickly to our queries before arrival and welcoming us warmly with helpful advice when we got there but otherwise leaving us to enjoy our holiday. The climbing roses surrounding the decked area were divine. We can recommend North Sands beach as a paradise for dogs if they like the water; our visit was in early June and, on all but one occasion, we managed to park in one of the four road side parking spaces at the top of the beach (free for 2 hours) rather than pay to use

We wanted to get away from it all in a part of Dartmoor we hadn't been to before and Steve's place seemed to fit the bill. When we got there, we found that it more than met our expectations! The Barn was exactly what we were looking for: a wonderful peaceful location and extremely comfortable and very well-equipped accommodation. The big selling point for us was the fact that the Barn was on lots of well-mapped walks, so that we could go on lovely walks in all directions without having to get in the car. Steve and Tessa were the perfect hosts; they made us feel most welcome and we found we had a lot in common. We very much enjoyed our short stay and look forward to returning to the Barn before long to explore the area further.

This Airbnb was fantastic! Clean, homely, a stunning view. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed staying here, and the log-fire hot tub was an amazing touch. Furthermore, Andy could not have been any more hospitable and friendly, an excellent host. I highly recommend for any holidaymakers or people looking for a local getaway 😊.

This was a great location for our stay near Sidmouth where we had friends visiting over the weekend. Sidbury is a charming English village just outside Sidmouth, with a lot of traditional thatched cottages. The property has a lovely little garden where we sat and enjoyed the scenery and listened to the stream running past. It was the perfect place for a long weekend getaway to rest and recuperate.

We had lovely stay ! Beautiful, comfortable home in a picturesque setting. Very well equipped, had everything we needed. Venetia was very welcoming and helpful. Incredible value. Would visit again in an instant!

Clean, cozy and well equipped (kitchen, etc). Peaceful location and the extra amenities were great! (Swimming pool, etc). We would stay again.

The host, Julie, was really helpful and responsive to our messages. Beautiful surroundings and the views from the chalet were incredible. We were visiting old friends and neighbours and it was an excellent base. The walk down into Shaldon along the golf course was convenient and stunning but be prepared for the walk back up!! The chalet had everything we needed and was really nicely decorated with comfy sofas and beds. Wish we were there longer and would love to go back.

Absolutely stunning place. Louise was the perfect host answering every question I asked. The pool was a great hit with us adults and of course the children. The farm tour was lovely and Louise was very understanding when my little boy had a nose bleed whilst feeding the calves. I would highly recommend a stay at The Grange!

Really lovely stay. I’m 8 months pregnant and it was a lovely little get away with my partner before the baby arrived. The pool was lovely but unfortunately it rained the entire time. The rain was beautiful to listen to though and the dog loved all the space she could have to run around. Only recommendation would be to have more cooking equipment as there was very basic amenities. As big cooks we go away to places like these and plan to cook great meals but it was hard with what is provided. Thank you very much for everything!

We had an idyllic stay at the lovely Orchard Caravan at Beara Farm. I can’t stop telling everyone about it! The caravan was perfect for me, my son and our puppy, the views were incredible and we slept so well. There were welcome biscuits, milk, apple juice from the orchard! We enjoyed 2 afternoons using the brilliant heated outdoor pool, and had some lovely dog walks right from the door. Dawn was so helpful, friendly and welcoming and the little honesty farm shop meant we could pick up some essentials fresh from the farm. The games room was great on our last morning and we are already planning to come back with family. Thanks so much Dawn and team!

Accurate description, Centrally located. Excellent communication pre and during our stay, Nia was very helpful in providing information and recommendations whilst visiting Totnes. The studio was just as described spotlessly clean comfortable with everything needed for our short break, I would highly recommend Nia and Primrose Studio as a must if visiting Totnes, Diolch Yn Fawr Amanda and Ian

Thank you Luke & Beccy for a great few days. We needed to relax but still have amenities around us. You were right, we didn’t need to move the car once it was parked. I know we could have travelled & explored but it was more about relaxing in a home from home.

We had a lovely stay at Megan’s place, a beautiful and peaceful location with lots to explore in Dawlish Warren, Dawlish and Exmouth (via the Starcross Ferry). The Shrimp cottage was cosy and well-equipped with a friendly and helpful host.

The Lighthouse is a quirky little place really thoughtfully designed and decorated…..a small but adorable little find!! Right in the town centre and just a step from the beach….perfect! Host very responsive when needed, and had left lots of thoughtful ‘bits’ around the place…..including fresh milk in the fridge (cow & oat!)!! Would definitely recommend this place for one or two guests and plan on returning sometime!!!

A beautifully decorated little hide away surprisingly close to lots of lovely places but totally peaceful with gorgeous bedroom looking over dancing grasses. The two dogs were a welcome bonus and all was easy and welcoming. A real bonus is that it’s dog friendly and that a pop up bed could be put up for our son- we were very cosy and happy in there.

John was a great host and met us at checkin for any questions we had. The annex is very clean and homely, and in an ideal position as it is between Dawlish town and Dawlish Warren. The bed was very comfy and a lovely power shower. Would definitely stay again.
