A fabulous cottage to spend our time exploring Harris and Lewis. Property was an excellent base and not far from Stornoway which was great after a day of travelling to the islands. Kathryn as a host was fantastic, gave easy to follow directions to the property and sent lots of information prior to the trip. The house itself was immaculate. The information book was particularly helpful to help plan our time and gave us an insight into how special the islands are to the host. The garden being secure was great for our dogs also. Overall an excellent trip and would definitely recommend.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Ann’s place—five stars all around! Ann went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even making sure the couch bed was all set up for our two children since we were arriving later in the evening. We were especially touched by the thoughtful welcome provisions—fresh local meats, breads, desserts and milk—all absolutely delicious. Both the main bed and the couch bed were incredibly comfortable, with warm, cozy linens that made us feel right at home. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook meals, and clean-up was quick and easy. Instructions for using the house and checking in and out were clear and straightforward, making the whole experience stress-free. Ann was extremely accommodating, and the little cabin is perched higher up in a peaceful, scenic spot surrounded by lovely pastures. The kids and I especially enjoyed watching the sheep in the nearby fields. We highly recommend staying here and would love to come back!

Lovely welcome pack of a complete G&T kit. Easy to find the location with Christine's instructions, to be honest as soon as you turn a bend on the main road you see the cottage standing proud on the hill. We had excellent communication and the recommendations for places to visit and eat are perfect. Crusts Pizza van is minutes from the location order online and collect its amazing, quality food and service. The peace around the cottage is beautiful especially first thing in the morning with the mist over the many lochs in the valley and the deer wandering around. The log burner on a wet and windy day is perfect to sit at the high top table and watch the weather pass by. Uig Sands at 6.30am was deserted, the campers still asleep, the whole beach to ourselves. The drive to Harris is beautiful with a road ascent that's quite exposed in places. Harris distillery worth visiting. On the whole perfect accommodation in the perfect place close to everywhere to visit with a feeling of remoteness

This was a delightful place to stay. A romantic and cosy cabin, perfect for two. It was superbly clean and the facilities second to none. Everything needed plus more was there, even some pasta and beans for anyone turning up in need of one meal. The view over the loch and mountains was magnificent. I even saw a red deer jump the fence near the delightful rear garden which was a real sun trap. We loved the seating space by the door which was cosy and in the sun. It was the perfect base to travel around the island and a delight to return to in the evenings. Thanks Innes for making it such a lovely place. Absolutely lovely wee cottage in a magical part of Lewis. Beautiful scenery and wildlife right on the doorstep. Cottage certainly lived up to its name.

Communication from Callum from booking through arrival and departure was first class. Very quick response times to any messages I sent. The cottage is in a great location-lovely views to the rear of the property and in the middle of Lewis so convenient to explore both Lewis and Harris. The cottage is characterful and well appointed. We had wet and windy weather but the log burner kept the place nice and cosy. We bought logs, kindling and fireligters from MacAskill coal merchant in Stornoway-they were super friendly, helpful and reasonably priced. We found the Co-op in Stornoway to be a much better supermarket than Tesco, which felt cramped and too busy. We bought a few nights meals at MacDonalds butchers in Stornoway-all first class.We always like to support local business when we can. One place we can't speak highly enough of is Mocha Muffin,Stornoway. Lovely coffee and amazing choice of cakes. Would definitely recommend the cottage to family and friends. would like to return.

My friend and I loved this place! Super spacious and super cute. It was nice having a space separate from the host’s. Very clean and had everything we needed for a couple days on the Isle of Lewis. Beautiful views from the windows. Margaret was super friendly and even left us fresh eggs from her chickens. Would stay again!!

Absolutely cracking wee place, with everything you would need. Very comfortable beds and lovely wee touches throughout the property. Amazing welcome pack left which was such a lovely thing to walk into finding. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Thank you to the amazing host, so kind and thoughtful.
