We really enjoyed our stay at Tue’s house. It is a great size with good bedrooms and plenty of living space. Ideal for our family of 7. The house is well equipped with plenty to do - swimming pool, bikes, pool table, large garden etc. The local area is very quiet with a good beach and some nice local walks. The weather wasn’t great while we were there, which was unfortunate and meant we couldn’t make full use of the pool etc. but it was great on the sunny days. It could perhaps be improved with some soft covers for the sun beds and maybe another sun umbrella. All in all though we had a great stay.

Après 5 nuits passés dans cet endroit magnifique j'ai eu beaucoup de peine à le quitter.. j'ai déprimé et pleuré tellement ce lieu est parfait, c'est pour dire ! Enfaîte, si je pouvais acheter ce bien je le ferais sans hésiter une seconde 💫 Honnêtement, je suis encore choquée par cette vue à couper le souffle.. que l'on soit dans le lit, sur la terrasse, dans le bain chaud ou encore dans la piscine, c'est juste sublime, incroyable, envoûtant... Je n'ai pas assez d'adjectif pour qualifier ce lieu, tout ce que je sais, c'est que j'aimerais y retourner le plus vite possible ✨️ PS : penser a acheter de quoi faire du feu pour le barbecue et le brasero (avec des chamallow)

Five stars to Casa de Cardido and to Rui and Alexandra for being wonderful hosts. We were a little late checking in, but Rui greeted us with a smile and a very generous tabua of local cheeses and meats. The hosts go above anything expected, with a sound system at the pool, exercise equipment, and fresh bread delivered daily. The house is a traditional Portuguese home - and it feels like a “home” not a rental. We spent two weeks here and it felt like staying with family. I noticed that one review commented on how close the highway is. Please know this is not a problem. You can see the highway when approaching the home from the road, but you cannot hear it and it does not interfere with the experience. This is very high quality stay with caring and involved hosts that will make sure you have all you need. I highly recommend.

A great start to our holiday even if the weather gods weren’t quite playing ball, the house was a great place to relax in. The pool is a great size and the farm around the property is nice.

This place was amazing, way bigger than it looks in the photos, with everything we needed and incredible views. The host was super helpful and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend and stay again if I get the chance!

The home was exactly as pictured, gorgeous views, & pool/home were clean with nice furnishings. There were the expected and unexpected amenities (throw blanket, clothing dry rack, BBQ tools, pool shower, towels for 6, hangers, coffee and sugar). The rooms were bright and sunny, with electrically switched storm shutters to 100% block out sun/street light. Besides the basics, the kitchen included dish rag, sponge, towels, an expresso maker, French press, electric water kettle, decent knives, and the all important wine opener. Europe is not big on paper towels, and we didn't find them here nor at the market (weird). As planned, we were in a slightly remote, quiet area, away from tourists. We enjoyed the town of Vieira do Minho for meals & shopping and some lovely hikes 45min drive away. Paulo was a great host - accommodated our late arrival, met us for a property tour, responded promptly, and was helpful during a short power outage. Loved our stay - hope to return!

Of all the Airbnb we have stayed, Francisca's house is one of the best. The house is great with comfortable beds, and the grounds around are amazing, with beautiful views. We were there in early June, and having breakfast outside was amazing. Francisca had eggs and lettuce for us, and there were oranges to pick up from trees for breakfast. The house is located within short drives to Braga, Guimareis, and Porto, so you can take day trips there and come back to this peaceful place. Francisca is a very good host, and we liked staying there because it is a family business.

Uno de los mejores alojamientos donde hemos estado. Encontramos la casa impecable y nos atendió Catarina muy bien, tanto al llegar como a la despedida, es todo simpatía. Es perfecto para quienes busquen tranquilidad, la casa está orientada para tener intimidad. Muy recomendable.

I would give 10 stars if possible! The place is just amazing, Paulo and Isabelle created a beautiful paradise with a breathtaking view and everything one needs for an unforgettable holiday. We had a great three-day stay. The place was private, with a spacious bedroom, balcony, and two bathrooms. It was perfect for our dog — we could walk him off-leash in the village. We all enjoyed drinking the cool, fresh water from the mountain fountain! The lake access was a nice bonus. The host was very welcoming and gave great local recommendations. A relaxing and comfortable stay overall! :)

This has probably been the been AirBnB I have ever stayed in. The new house built on top of an ancient mill is really special and very welcoming with great attention to detail, the host was extremely welcoming and attentive to our requests and the location of the house allowed both for sightseeing in Guimaraes and Braga, as well as for excursions to the mountains and the sea side. We stayed for a week and the longer we stayed the more we appreciated our living environment in the middle of a flowing river stream.

Un grand merci à Pedro pour son accueil chaleureux et pour toutes les bonnes adresses et activités qu’il nous a recommandées, qui ont vraiment enrichi notre séjour. We had a fabulous stay at Josés property. The space was beautifully designed, it had a very zen feel. We felt so relaxed there. It was a perfect spot for visiting Guimarães and Jose was very thorough when we met him, telling us all about his property and the local area. Would highly recommend and would have loved to have stayed longer

We had a great stay in Rio Caldo! Check in was easy, at the restaurant down the road. The apartment had all the essential amenities, great for cooking in. Great Mountain View’s from the kitchen. Location was ideal for going to the beaches and explore more of Geres National Park!

Incredible place - serenity on a mountainside. We had the pleasure of staying at Tiago's place as the surrounding forest turned orange in line with the season Tiago went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of, can only recommend this place

Casa perfeita! Magda nos recebeu com tudo que precisávamos e com um mimo a mais! Com certeza recomendamos. Sugestão para quem for de carro: não acessar pela rua de baixo, bem estreita. Seguir pela via de cima e fazer o retorno no café para acessar a rua da casa. Gerês nos surpreendeu! Lugar bem tranquilo e de natureza exuberante!

A casa está renovada e muito confortável, gostávamos de ter percebido pela descrição que a zona exterior é longe da casa.

A nossa estadia foi maravilhosa! A casa estava exatamente como nas fotos: limpo, acolhedor e muito bem equipado. A cama era super confortável, e havia tudo o que precisávamos para nos sentirmos em casa — desde utensílios de cozinha até pequenos detalhes como café e chá disponíveis. A localização também foi perfeita e o anfitrião foi extremamente atencioso e respondeu sempre muito rapidamente às nossas mensagens, dando boas recomendações sobre a área e garantindo que tudo corria bem durante a nossa estadia. Sem dúvida, recomendamos este Airbnb e voltaríamos a ficar aqui numa próxima visita!

We had such a good time. We loved the villa, WIFI was excellent, surroundings were so peaceful. House was very clean and the staff were very attentive. Couldn’t fault our stay, would recommend this place to anyone. Also love Bull the dog, very friendly! Thanks again!

We enjoyed everything about our stay in Bernardino’s place. We were initially pleasantly surprised by the size of the property, as we were expecting a fewer number of bedrooms. There are also multiple balconies and a terrace to enjoy the sun whichever time of day it is. The house is well equipped with everything needed to cook and enjoy nice evenings in. The host even went the extra mile to provide Christmas decorations and recommend a local restaurant. The spaciousness of the pool area was also a huge bonus, despite it being a 30 second walk or so from the property itself. Everything there felt like it was made with care and with the aim providing all types of guest with a relaxing and fun stay. The neighbourhood was very peaceful and had beautiful surroundings to be enjoyed from the balconies. Overall I’d recommend this property to any group looking to enjoy Gerês!

What a WONDERFUL stay at this charming farmhouse! From the moment we arrived it was perfect! The property is so beautiful with its lovely gardens, fruit trees & the view of the mountains. We spent the majority of our time, when we were not out exploring, enjoying the pool & having all our dinners outside under the covered outdoor grilling area. We took advantage of the grill & enjoying pizza (yes, there is a fabulous pizza oven!). The house was so comfortable, clean & the kitchen had everything we needed & more. Carlos & Christina are stunning hosts....so kind & friendly & gave us so many suggestions of what to do in the area...restaurants, villages, waterfalls, etc. We CAN'T WAIT to return! Obrigada for a wonderful stay! (note - if you are driving be mindful as directly accessing the property can be tight if you have a larger car)

The countless reviews say it all: this place and Murilo's hospitality are both exceptional. Best to check it out for yourself as my review won't do it justice. A few highlights: the kitchen is fully equipped, the space is family friendly, and the landscape is amazing. This is my favorite airbnb booking, and I travel a lot.
