Farmstay holiday rentals in County Down

I was lucky enough to stay in Ruth's mobile home for a month whilst visiting family. It was such good value and the perfect size for family back home to be able to stay too. It's bigger than you might think from the pictures. There's a beautiful view of the Mourne Mountains from the living room window and the back garden. Ruth and her husband were very kind. Just two examples, there were chocolates and things you might need on arrival, and they jump started my car when I left the lights on overnight! I can't recommend this place more highly, and hope to be back again soon.

We had a great stay with our dog and even messier toddler. Bronach showed us around the property and gave us some great local tips for dog walking. Bronach generously gave us some groceries to get us started and lots of toys for our toddler to play with. Would definitely go back.

Exceeded our expectations - private, peaceful, a perfect stay. Rostrevor was such a lovely village. The cottage is about 15 mins walk outside the village, footpath most of the way. John recommended The Rostrevor Inn for food which was exceptional. Also some other lovely pubs for a drink. We cooked in the cottage which was perfectly equipped, and we had brought some board games to enjoy the cottage and its peaceful surroundings. The shower was amazing, beds were extremely comfortable, and all is as described on the cottage’s profile. You are perfectly located for exploring the Mourne mountains. We spent several hours in Kilbroney park hiking which was one of our favourites so far in Ireland. We found some lovely coves as well for a sea dip. We will definitely be back!

Annette was a fabulous host, very understanding when we got delayed as we were hiking Slieve Donard, super friendly and made us feel right at home! The apartment itself was wonderful, so clean and tidy! The hot tub was a brilliant touch as it was nice to relax after climbing a mountain all day. 100% would love to stay again next time we’re in the county!

We absolutely loved our stay at The Loft. Perfect location to attend a wedding nearby. The loft was absolutely spotless and had such comfortable furnishings and sheets etc. We were delighted to have access to Netflix on the TV, as we were planning a quiet night in👌🏼 The surrounding area and Sarah’s property is absolutely beautiful and a great base to explore the country side and coast of surrounding areas

We had an awesome stay at here. The house was spacious and had everything we needed for a great stay. The house was spotless, accessible and just what we needed. The location was brilliant- amazing views!

Our stay at Reid`s Hall was wonderful, the location is outstanding and peaceful but within a few minutes drive of Rostrevor and Hilltown. The accommodation was just as described in the listing and has fantastic views of the mountains from every window. Our host Agnes was very friendly and welcoming and had provided a basket of various foodstuffs for our arrival. We would highly recommend this Air b+b.

We really enjoyed our stay! Everything was exactly as described. The accommodation was really beautiful and lovely and warm inside. We were really happy with it and would highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed clean cosy home from home. Lovely to see all the nature around us. Rabbits, Birds, cattle and horses were entertaining to watch. Especially the check in from the little terrier and white cat.

We had a wonderful stay in the Shepherds Hut. The location is very scenic and peaceful. Relaxing in the hot tub was so enjoyable looking out over the hills. Lots of great places to visit nearby too by car

The Red pump cottage is such a home from home, Sandra was so helpful when booking & great at helping with restaurant recommendations. The pod was so clean & tidy, Sandra had gone the extra mile providing treats & a banner for my boyfriend’s birthday nothing was a bother to her. The location was so peaceful & tranquil, having the hot tub was a lovely bonus to enjoy some much needed relaxation. I will definitely be booking in again soon, would highly recommend this fantastic airbnb with a fabulous host. Thanks again so much ☺️

AMAZING!!! We had a fantastic time at the Shepard’s hut, we brought our two dogs and they had the best time ever, perfect private get away. Conor and Sophie were great hosts and the dogs appreciated the welcome treats they left (we also greatly appreciated the Prosecco!) Congratulations on creating such a magical get away. We are already planning a return trip next year!

Bracken Cottage is just perfect. Clean, cosy, well kept with all the amenities you could possibly need. The area is very peaceful and the views are amazing. There are lots of places to go walking/hiking within driving distance. Kilkeel and Annalong are a short drive away for restaurants and shops. The garden is full enclosed and secure which was perfect for our GSD, he was able to potter about outside without having to be on a long lead. Aileen has provided a very comprehensive information booklet for visitors and is a very approachable host. We would highly recommend this cottage and hope to return.

We had a lovely time here; it is in a great location for exploring with lots to do in the local area. The accomodation itself was spotlessly clean, had great views and exactly as described. Lots of nice touches were included such as welcome pack, hot tub and great walking tracks on the farm. Thank you for having us, we hope to come again.

We had a wonderful stay with exceptional hosts. The log cabin exceeded our expectations and was the most comfortble stay we had on our trip exploring Ireland. Carlingford and the Grange area were the perfect spot for us to relax, restore and explore. We hope to return someday for an extended visit as two nights wasn't nearly enough time and we loved the area. Padraig and Eileen went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and that we were well taken care of. Easily one of the best Airbnb stays we've had. Do the hike. Visit the town. Stroll to the pub. Relax on the deck. Perfection. Would highly recommend.

We were overwhelmed with the location, it is a simply beautiful spot, wonderfully peaceful and calming. The hut itself was pristine and very cosy. The hot tub was fabulous and we enjoyed a soak during the day and then kept it warm for a soak under the stars. We will definitely be back!

Jim's place was everything we hoped for. Jim is such a kind, friendly man who makes you feel so welcome. We loved browsing Jim's many collections & meeting all his animals. The outside seating area was a huge bonus & as the weather was so good, we could have happily spent our day there. We only had 2 nights at Jim's but really hope to come back sometime and spend longer there

This is my third time staying at this accommodation and cannot wait to get back. The kids had a blast, indoor and outdoor toys to play with. House is always so clean. Diane was always quick to respond. Great host! Will be back again!

What sets this place apart is the hosts and the extra touches they put into their cottage. It was a welcoming home with yummy bread, butter, eggs, milk and other treats when we arrived. We appreciated the thought that went into making us feel welcome and the local recommendations we received.

Adrain's house was very comfortable and we really enjoyed having the cows and sheep outside our windows. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Paula is truly the perfect host; friendly, helpful, proactive and quick to respond to any questions. The cottage is so much more than the listing implies; it's a gorgeous home, peaceful and relaxing, with all modern amenities, and impeccably clean. The location was just the right combination of private and in the country, while nearby to shops and restaurants. And an excellent central spot to explore the wonders of the north of Ireland. If you're lucky enough that Paula's place is available, don't hesitate to book. I look forward to returning on my next trip to Ireland.

Perfect location with a beautiful view of the Mournes. The space was clean and well-equipped with all we could need, and Pauline was very responsive and communicative. Look forward to staying again!

Loved this place. Charming building and Natasha and Simon were great hosts. They were always available if we needed anything and they had some great recommendations about where we could visit. Highly recommended.
