What a special place! I wish I had booked for longer. Otters Rest is is found in a quiet, secluded and private little nook of Clitheroe. The river right underneath you is the most relaxing sound, and the place itself is just stunning. Even the small details down to the underfloor heating in the bathroom and the glass ceiling which makes you feel as though you are showering in the woods… it was perfect. Thoroughly recommend this place to anyone looking for some peace and tranquility in a stunning little sun trap ☀️

My husband was in seventh heaven when we arrived with Penny’s lovely scones and rhubarb and ginger jam ! The accommodation was very comfortable and we enjoyed our couple of days in Arnside. We will definitely be back !

Such a beautiful place to stay, we got to meet a very friendly cat, 3 dogs and two lovely deers (who love apples & carrots) Our hut was clean & tidy same as the shower room & toilet (shower was amazing) We didn't get to actually meet Ruth but her mum liz was amazing we would definitely stay again!!! We had a fabulous stay at Hingabarn, a remote beautiful place, surrounded by wooded countryside with so many flower-filled meadows. Barn itself very clean with a well-equipped kitchen, and a very generous welcome pack! The drive up the track was fine, as per instructions just have to take it slowly and carefully. Thank you Paul and Barbara, we will be back!

Very comfortable and well-equipped cottage, perfect for a quiet break. Set in a very nice garden, a short walk from the sea and with cycle routes directly into the forest. Host was very friendly and helpful, we had an excellent time.

My Partner and I loved our stay here. From the views to the cute little hut, it was everything we needed. Great to just get away from the world for a while. Definitely recommend. Top tier and very homely. We took advantage of the hot tub on a night and watched the stars with a bottle of wine and strawberries. We had a takeaway on our first night from The Taste of India which was unreal and then cooked burgers and sausages on the BBQ the next nights, even treated ourselves to bacon butties in the mornings with a view. Can’t forget to mention the cutest sheep and their lambs, adorable. Overall the best little get away with perfect weather to accompany it.

Beautiful location in a peaceful valley overlooking sheep and cow field. Has everything you need and the hot tub is a massive bonus. Could not recommend it enough.

A fantastic lodge. Very comfortable and located right next to the lake. The terrace is delightful to have drinks/ eat on and overlook a beautiful view. Kevin is a great host and kept us well informed.

The hut is a perfect place to relax and use as a base to explore- in stunning surroundings. Nicola is incredibly knowledgeable on the area and offers lots of help to plan walks, climbs everything else

We had an amazing stay at Amanda and Kevin’s beautiful cabin. We stayed for a long weekend and had a brilliant time, the cabin was even better than the pictures and is surrounded by gorgeous countryside. The cabin had everything we needed for a long weekend and we loved the hot tub! The cabin was extremely clean and had useful kitchen appliances and breakfast essentials. We loved seeing the friendly horse in the nearby field and collecting eggs from the chickens! Amanda and Kevin were so friendly, proactive and went the extra mile by posting my friend’s shoes that she left at the cabin back to her. We really appreciated all the great local recommendations. I would particularly recommend this cabin because of its location, it’s really private but still within walking distance of the beach. Thank you so much Amanda and Kevin!

We had a lovely time at the lodge, it had everything we could have needed and the views were beautiful. Angela was really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We’d definitely recommend and would love to stay again!

We had a lovely stay. It was my partner and I’s first trip away and we had our doggie too! Instructions were very clear and was able to find the lodge easily when using What3Words. The lodge was in impeccable condition and we were welcomed with some milk, butter, bread and doggie treats! Thank you so much! Gorgeous area that we’d like to return to one day! Highly recommend. Jo & Darren’s place was absolutely lovely! It was a very cosy little hut in a lovely part of Windermere, felt very private and it was so quiet. Jo was really flexible and accomodating to our needs and really quick to respond to messages which was great! We enjoyed our stay, 5-10 minute walk into Windermere proper and a very short drive to Bowness (5 min). Thanks again Jo!

Beautiful Airbnb, pristine throughout. The scenery was absolutely stunning and the hosts were both incredibly friendly and welcoming. Worth every penny, I’d absolutely recommend to anyone considering booking.

We had a fantastic 3 night stay in one of Hannah’s pods with our 3 & 1 year olds. It was so peaceful waking up to the sound of the beck, the boys loved playing in the water. We saw all of the British summer weather including a thunder storm during our stay - it was so cosy listening to this from inside our pod. The pod is well insulated and has everything you could possibly need, all very clean and clever use of space. The TV even has Netflix etc if needed - however we did struggle to get the WiFi to work in our pod to use this. There is also BBQ facilities and a lovely communal outdoor seating area - although it we didn’t stay long enough to use these. The games hut was a welcome addition to keep the boys entertained during some of the wet spells. We would love to stay here again and highly recommend ☺️ the Queen’s Head pub is close by and we enjoyed a gorgeous meal here. The tearoom in Troutbeck is also a must visit!

The hut was a perfect stay for our night away. Private garden and peaceful surroundings. Sadly we didn’t get to use the outdoor seating/fire pit due to the weather/length of stay, however the features of the hut exceeded our expectations. We were gutted we could only stay for one night and would love to return. Victoria was a great host & sent helpful messages and was really friendly on arrival. We had a lovely walk down the canal and recommend the Water Witch pub especially if the sun is shining.

Beautiful location for a lovely farm stay, great views from the hot tub! Loved being able to watch the cows and sheep. Claire was lovely and was ready to help at any moment despite us arriving so late at night! Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!
