Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Great to have a view of Coniston Lake. Cottage was extremely comfortable and homely & had everything needed for our stay. Martin’s instructions to find and access the cottage were very comprehensive which really helped. Martin also provided lots of information on places to eat and visit and responded well to any issues. Coniston is an ideal location to access the Lakes and would recommend the area and Martin’s cottage to others. Would love to return one day.

This air bnb was perfect for a few night's stay in an absolutely beautiful part of the world. Stunning view from the sitting room and the village is adorable! Highly recommend that you book Peter's cottage, which was spotless and had everything you could need for a perfect getaway break.

The cottage was exactly what was listed and what we were looking for. The Host was always responsive and friendly with many helpful details. The cottage is cosy and in beautiful surroundings with friendly neighbours. It also is well equipped for short or long stays. We will definitely recommend and hopefully come back soon! Thank you

We had a lovely stay at Marion’s place! The pod was in a beautiful area and the facilities were all immaculate, with toilets and showers being a few steps away from the pod, and there being a hob and fridge freezer in the pod. Marion was very responsive and helped us with our queries

Karen was very helpful and her instructions were clear. It was beautiful, quiet and undisturbed setting was a peaceful escape.

Fabulous little find here. Very functional cottage with some fantastic views. Need to be able to drive but that’s not really a big issue. Very responsive and helpful hosts who made the stay very easy.

A lovely peaceful retreat in a beautiful village. Extremely comfortable bed and excellent, clean facilities. Really appreciated the bread, milk etc - a really thoughtful touch.

Just what I wanted….a few days of solitude in beautiful surroundings. The cottage was extremely clean, high spec and very peaceful and quiet. I had no need to contact Giles for anything but our brief exchange when passing one day was friendly and I knew he was over the way should I need anything. Lovely bath and powerful shower. I found the bed extremely comfortable and the bed linen very nice. Views from the bedroom and bathroom look out to a field which is edged with hedgerows and trees. Lots on lovely walks on the doorstep.

Just what the doctor ordered, absolutely beautiful and so relaxing, he even made us fresh homemade bread the views from the windows are breathtaking, honestly it was a pleasure we will be back nice and clean just perfect. Thank-you Andrew it was a pleasure.

Such a lovely cottage!! We felt at home upon arrival and enjoyed every minute we spent in it. Our cat was very happy as well, entertained by all the birds and little animals he could watch from the windows. Location was great - nice little village but also a 10min drive to Cockermouth with plenty of options for shops and restaurants. We’d love to come back someday!

We had a lovely stay in Cabin 3 - very private. The views and surroundings (especially the sheep!) were amazing and felt so peaceful. Hot tub was perfect, the cabin was very clean and stocked with plenty of toiletries, bottled water, kitchen supplies and even board games! It was nice to have a phone free weekend as there’s no signal or wifi but I’d recommend maybe downloading some films to watch just for the night time. We hope to come again, thank you for the wonderful stay :)

The cabin was so cute and cosy and in a beautiful location, our daughter loved waking up to the sheep and chickens. Wendy was very friendly and all instructions were communicated well. A truly relaxing and peaceful stay

We had an amazing stay at Amanda and Kevin’s beautiful cabin. We stayed for a long weekend and had a brilliant time, the cabin was even better than the pictures and is surrounded by gorgeous countryside. The cabin had everything we needed for a long weekend and we loved the hot tub! The cabin was extremely clean and had useful kitchen appliances and breakfast essentials. We loved seeing the friendly horse in the nearby field and collecting eggs from the chickens! Amanda and Kevin were so friendly, proactive and went the extra mile by posting my friend’s shoes that she left at the cabin back to her. We really appreciated all the great local recommendations. I would particularly recommend this cabin because of its location, it’s really private but still within walking distance of the beach. Thank you so much Amanda and Kevin!

Lovely upside-down barn conversion (spacious living /dining/kitchen area upstairs), very characterful with the exposed roof beams and stone floors downstairs. Beautiful rural setting opposite the church and fields, and near a working dairy farm. We really loved our stay! Host was fixed any little issues quickly, and our family of 4 had a chilled out time when not exploring the Lakes.

We had a lovely time at the lodge, it had everything we could have needed and the views were beautiful. Angela was really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We’d definitely recommend and would love to stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Spinney. Wonderful scenery and surroundings. Beautiful gardens, absolutely stunning with plenty of places to sit and relax by the river. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and communication was excellent, especially the instructions to the house. Well appointed premises and lots of attention to detail. Coming from the States, we were looking for a quintessential Yorkshire Dales experience: someplace peaceful and quiet with beautiful scenery. This place fit the bill perfectly. The house was very comfortable and we especially loved the shower, beds and comforters. It really is self catered so be sure to bring any cooking staples you will need. Beautiful artwork throughout the house, and some great magazines to read on rainy days. We did have an issue on the second to last day we were there - the power went out for no apparent reason. Luckily we were able to isolate the problem circuit and get things partially working again. Claire was very helpful and arranged for showers we could use in the cabins at the main property down the road. All in all, it was a lovely location and we would definitely stay there again.

Myself and my dogs had the nicest stay at Lynn’s place and we were so sad to leave. The place was amazing, clean, tidy and had everything we needed even extra throws for the dogs. There was also some lovely local goodies and eggs left too. Lynn gave me lots of info about places to visit in the area and was extremely responsive to any questions I had. I’d been supposed to be staying with a friend who couldn’t make it in the end and I was worried as I’d booked an activity I couldn’t take my dogs too but Lynn went above and beyond and found a safe space for them to chill whilst I went and was around to keep an eye on them for me. There are lots of gorgeous sheep, goats, chickens and ducks at the smallholding who were all so friendly and Lynn left food for me to feed them whenever I wanted which was lovely. I felt so at home there, didn’t want to leave and had the loveliest break. I cannot wait to book another trip there so I can go back and would highly recommend Lynn’s place to anyone.

Irene’s place is ideally situated for anyone looking to climb Pendle Hill or explore the peaceful countryside and charming villages of the Forest of Bowland. The accommodation is perfectly suited for couples seeking a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle. It’s a lovely setting with a thoughtfully designed space, making it a truly enjoyable place to stay.

Hazel's & Mike's place was lovely! Booked for two nights to attend a wedding nearby. Needed somewhere for our small family to stay and this was perfect! lovely place with very well kept accommodation in a quiet location! Everything was great and more than what you could need - very nice bathroom/wet room, and fully equipped kitchen keeping the toddler fed easily! Very spacious bedroom with perfect size beds for all. Would stay here again in a heartbeat if we find ourselves in this part of the world again!
