Guest house holiday rentals in Cooks Beach

Google maps took me to the wrong location. Dix, who was a very gracious host, responded to my call, gave me specific directions and met me as we arrived. The location was a slice of Heaven, quiet, secluded, peaceful, and very close to the Hot Water Beach. Perfect!!!

We had a great stay at Debbie’s! The accommodation was perfectly clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

The Shed was cute as a button. Lots of books, games (and toys if you have kids!). It was just my partner and I plus our wee dog. Used the outside bath one night which was fun - the lights out on the deck were so pretty. Beds were comfy although I had to sleep in the top bunk as the bottom bed was a tad too small for both of us. (I like to starfish) 😂 Toilet and shower were outside of the shed (in a separate room just next to the shed). Pity it was pissing down as it wasn’t very pleasant going outside to the bathroom space during the night. However great stay, Donna was lovely and had wine and chocolate for us on arrival which was a great touch!

Was one of the best and most relaxing weekends I’ve ever had. Will be a memory I hold with me always.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Julie’s villa in Coromandel. The place was spotlessly clean, incredibly comfortable, and had such a homely feel that we instantly felt at ease. Julie was a fantastic host—welcoming, thoughtful, and easy to communicate with. Everything we needed was provided, and the peaceful surroundings made for a perfect getaway. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would happily return. Highly recommend!

Tina and Barry were very accomodating, friendly and gave us good insights of the area. The place was quiet, clean. We will stay here again when we have a return visit from Australia.

This was a very nice place in close proximity to the beach. We stayed for our friend’s wedding in Orua beach house which was close by. The house was very tidy. Highly recommend this place for anyone else!

The unit was very comfortable, clean and tidy, and had everything we needed for our long weekend stay. It’s in a convenient location, a few minutes walk to the beach and cafe/shops. We would happily stay here again.

Loved Gordons place in Wentworth Valley. Such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay and a great location to get to Whangamata. Gordon was a great host too, we'll hopefully be back again!

A quaint little cabin, comfortable, and everything you needed. Breakfast food was provided which is always a bonus. Linda came over before we left and had a great chat.

We stayed at Suzanne and Barry’s Little Sister for 4 nights and we struggled to pack up and leave… Their place had everything you need and more! We loved the layout with the bedrooms upstairs, so we could have a peaceful early morning coffee before our young son got up :) it was an easy 1 minute walk to Little Bay, which was absolutely breathtaking! We were also fortunate to meet Suzanne and Barry, and they made us feel so welcome, and went above and beyond as hosts, in so many ways! We will definitely be returning, our young son even said he would give it 10 stars if he could!

A fantastic find! Really close to the beautiful beach. Nothing like an early morning or sunset stroll. Robyn's place had everything we needed. It was spotless, extremely comfy bed, amazing shower... perfect for the three of us. Thanks so much!

Tui’s Nest was a wonderful Air BnB and Karen was a fabulous host. Always proactive and responsible with helpful instructions. The apartment had everything we needed and more! Lots of lovely extras and thoughtful touches. It’s peaceful, private and very comfortable. Can’t recommend highly enough. Thanks very much ☺️

Amazing guesthouse stay! Attached but private from the owners accommodation, the back of the guesthouse opens out onto the park which was phenomenal for our young kids. The house was child friendly, Sharon and Richard even lent some of their grandkids toys to our kids for the stay! They set up a nice outdoor setting for us to eat our meals outside which we loved. Kitchenette is new and has everything you need. Great bathroom and shower including a warm outdoor shower for post swim clean ups, especially great for the kids! Do not hesitate to book here, we LOVED our stay!

What a lovely stay! The apartment was super clean, and the breakfast was a very nice touch. The only thing we missed was the listed washer and dryer, which aren't directly in the apartment (though I'm sure the host would allow us to use theirs if we had asked).

A beautiful romantic location, we loved sitting out on the deck at night looking at the Milky Way and listening to the kiwi and other native birds. Fresh fruit, milk and some other lovely treats waiting for us in the kitchen. Above and beyond hospitality and the most tranquil escape, only 5 mins off the main road. Plus the most comfy bed!!

Beautiful place to stay. The beach view from the balcony was incredible. Everything that we need was there. 💯 recommended and definitely we come back.

If you are lucky enough to get a booking at Chartre Cottage we believe you will be very happy! Anna-Marie is a lovely generous host, who goes out of her way to provide a wonderful holiday experience! The cottage is also a bed and breakfast and Anna-Marie provides delicious foods for you to prepare yourself when you desire. The kitchenette is well stocked and easy to make simple meals in. The decor is lovely and includes a very comfortable bed, large bathroom, beautiful sitting area with views from the hill overlooking Thames and stunning sunsets. They have two adorable sheep and chickens to add to the fun. She does one of my favorite things hosts do is label the light switches so you don’t have to guess and she has excellent instructions for you to follow as well as good suggestions for places to visit and restaurants. You park right outside your door for easy access. We highly recommend Chartre Cottage for couples who desire to have a peaceful and lovely place to stay for holiday!

Gillian's house was a treat to behold. The neighbourhood was peaceful and serene and the accommodations were superb: clean, modern and well-kept. Gillian and Dave were super-responsive and ensured that our stay was trouble-free. We’ll remember watching the stars from the hot tub!

Magic-Pure Magic! I could drink coffee and see the most beautiful view or I could in two minutes be walking on one of the most beautiful beaches I encountered in two months on New Zealand. So peaceful and there was no one around! The apartment was pristine and had everything we needed including the most beautiful garden. Michael has so many flowers. We could have taken out kayaks or bikes but instead we did a little hike to Crayfish Bay! So cool! Only wish we could have stayed longer!!💜💜💜
