Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Columbia County

Over and above in accomodating my needs. Felt like family. I will be coming back for a vacation and referring others. The place was the cleanest and most comfortable stay I have ever experienced. Amazing and beautiful property; great for taking a walk and taking in nature.

Our first B&B and set the bar extremely high. Donna's home is gorgeous, the check-in process was smooth as butter, and butter on her blueberry pancakes Saturday morning was heaven. Highly recommend for anyone exploring the area, we explored Rickett's Glen State Park and the drive to Donna's after was a zippy 28 mins! It was the perfect weekend.

Great place to stay. You can have a little bit of everything here. The room was amazing very clean, spacious and full of everything you need. The host are very attentive and responsive. anything you need can be accommodated. My wife fell in love with the small petting zoo, specially the baby goats. Great experience would definitely booked my next stay in the area here. Recommend this place 100%.

Laura and her husband were kind and responsive. They helped us plan our hike and left touches that made us feel at home. There is WiFi, though it is a little spotty. The room was really clean. The location was great for hiking Ricketts Glen... and getting away though there isn’t much else in the area. The motto of the town seems to be “conveniently located in the middle of nowhere”. If that’s what you need, we recommend this place.

Great spot for a quick trip. Easy to find, clean and simple check-in/out. The bed was super comfortable too!! Would recommend!

David was an excellent host! He greeted and welcomed us at the door. Then proceeded to share a history lesson on the building, area and renovations. Accommodations were comfortable and decor was impressive Victorian motif. Ever since COVID, David explained breakfast has not been served. When we questioned, he said “he didn’t know how to update air bnb site to be accurate.” He did, however, recommend a local diner. If you’re in the area, definitely a good place to stay !

Would always recommend staying at Penelope’s, She makes You feel like Family. So accommodating, friendly and peaceful place to stay. Best B&B place around, my Family and I been staying here for over 15yrs. Will definitely be back!

This is THE nicest place we've ever stayed. The decor was calming and beautiful inside and outside. We would have loved to stay for a week to take in more local spots and attractions and their quiet well appointed and natural setting of the backyard and pond. They have thought about everything when it comes to accommodations and amenities! Breakfast and the coffee was equally great! Our hosts were a treat to meet too. Thanks for having us!

This place is a lovely hidden gem. The waves around it are beautiful. We sat on the porch and watch the hummingbirds zoom by all afternoon. There’s a lovely outdoor fireplace. Our room was beautiful. I would definitely come here again.

My partner and I stayed Memorial Day weekend and it was our most incredibly memorable one to date (haha). Claytonna was incredbily kind and thoughtful of our arrival time and of our needs. The bedding and pillows were the most luxorious things I have ever slept on and in, in a very long time and left wanting to take one home with me. Breakfast was always an affair of conversation and liveliness that helped us get started on our day. We booked this for its location near Rickett's Glenn park as we were interested in taking some hikes there, Claytonna gave us great insight into what to take, weather and best times to go! We will definitely consider staying here again and will be recommending it to all our family and friends!

My daughter and I had a great time at the Fishing Lodge. It's clear that Kathleen put a lot of time and effort into making sure we had everything for our visit. I really appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was. I was able to make tea and oatmeal every morning in the kitchen. The rooms are clean and really cute. Thankfully it was just my daughter and I. It's a decent sized house, but it was really rainy and we were at the house a lot so I'm not sure how comfortable I would feel sharing the space with others. If you are a people person or not planning to be there much, I'm sure this wouldn't be an issue for you.

This is a cozy, low-key, quaint and rustic inn with only four guest rooms, in a quiet location along a forested highway. There is a comfortable sitting room with a big TV, a sofa and fireplace where you can kick back and watch a movie after hiking at Rickett's Glen (which we did) or play chess or board games, and help yourself to complimentary snacks and beverages. Our bed was very comfortable, and we could keep cool with the room A/C. While the cafe is now closed, there is a good eatery Central Park Restaurant just up the road, or, a bit farther, Ricketts Glen Hotel. Kathleen made us an excellent breakfast. We have stayed here twice and would stay again.

What a gorgeous place! The creek is so tranquil and provides beautiful views and the fire pit and patio furniture make it such a welcoming space. The house is beautifully decorated with lots of homey, thought out details! The room was clean, cozy and felt private. The bed was so comfortable and breakfast on Sunday morning was delicious! Donna and Al are so kind and truly welcome you into their home! I would definitely stay again!

My second time staying there and it was just as amazing as the first time! Kathleen is so welcoming and gave great recommendations of the growing area! Very peaceful and quiet!
