We had our large family group stay at Curry Barn and rented the extension as well. The extension allowed for quiet and privacy for those of us who wanted a little more downtime. The main part of the house allowed for a wonderful gathering space for cooking, playing games and watching movies. The three Queen beds upstairs in the loft of the main house could be tricky for elders- the stairs are a bit steep and seem spaced close together. There is only one bedroom with a door in the loft and you have to walk through one of the other “semi private” rooms to get to the bathroom. A little awkward, but we managed. Didn’t quite understand that from the Airbnb ad. Jen, with Durango Colorado Vacations was super pleasant to work with and very responsive to all questions and requests. Beautiful house and property - felt lucky to stay in This historic home.

Lana’s barn/cottage was just what we were looking for! It was absolutely precious! Everything was tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean. It is surrounded by beautiful grounds with magnificent scenery. So very quiet and peaceful, but only a short distance (about 5 miles) from all that Durango has to offer! We especially loved our afternoons having coffee out on the porch and our relaxing evenings sipping wine while enjoying the view and nice crisp air! Lana and her family were very friendly and responded immediately to any questions we had; while at the same time respecting our privacy. We would certainly stay here again!

We had the most delightful and relaxing weekend at Cedar Ridge Ranch! Pam is the sweetest host and always made sure we were ok, she was super responsive and attentive. The location was exactly what we wanted, secluded and peaceful. The animals are incredible and so nice! I gave the horses so many pets! We also love the fact that our dog was able to stay with us on the farm. Our glamping tent was perfect! It had everything we needed and was very comfortable plus we had a private bathroom/shower! The bbq was perfect and we highly recommend buying their bacon and sausage!!! The bacon is to die for. Seriously..they were the best hosts. The story of Pam, Randy, and their daughter is inspiring and made us dream of opening our own farm. We will absolutely be going back!! Thanks, Pam & Randy!!

Wonderful stay. Place was incredibly clean and tidy. Kalyn was a terrific host and very kind. We appreciated the toys and pack n play for our 2 year old. Highly recommend!!

What a magical place! Beautiful farm, quiet and peaceful yet only 15-20 minutes to downtown Durango. The bunkhouse is so cozy, clean and homey with a super comfy bed. The incinerator toilet was cool and easy to use, zero complaints there. Great patio with a nice grill and propane firepit. The perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful views and the adorable highland cows, and to stargaze in the evenings! Bethany and Trapper were wonderful hosts, truly above and beyond! So welcoming, kind and communicative, and also provided awesome recommendations in the area. Also don’t sleep on the eggs they provide from their chickens, the best eggs we’ve ever tasted! The kitchen has everything you’d need, and a great coffee setup with delicious local coffee. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing location for an Autumnal getaway. Centrally located to Crested Butte, Marble, Avalanche Ranch, etc. Bill was extremely accommodating and communicative. Thanks so much for having us! Only downside is the proximity to the road, which is gravel, and super wash-boarded. Pretty loud. That aside, a perfect stay. 😊

Great home with fantastic views and surroundings. Far enough away to feel remote, but close enough to shopping, dining, and attractions. Plenty of space for couples or families.

What a great house for our group. We were in the area for a Women in Rotary Retreat and the six of us had plenty of room for sleeping, spreading out, cooking, relaxing outside. Everything in the property is well organized and thoughtful and the kitchen is well stocked for food preparation. The views are fantastic.

Great gathering place for two families! Very spacious with amazing great room! This place is a gem. It’s in the shadow of the Grand Mesa in a quiet neighborhood without any light pollution. The sunrises/sunsets/stars are breathtaking. The space is well maintained, clean and well stocked. WiFi works great. Extremely comfortable beds and furniture. It was nice having two bathrooms for our group, and they are gorgeous!! The two bedrooms on the main floor were perfect for the adults in our group and the kids had a blast staying in the bunks in the loft. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked and the bathrooms are amazing. River rock floors in the shower and rain showerheads add a nice touch. Grand junction is just about 15-20 minutes away. Our stay was just perfect and we hope to return soon. Great for a larger group!

We stayed in the quaint town of Bayfield for 3 nights at The Loft on the LJ Platt Ranch and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The setting of the property is extremely picturesque and the accommodations at The Loft were 5 Star! One of our top priorities is sleeping comfortably and we are thrilled to say that we had some of our best night’s sleep here while traveling through Colorado. The sheets, linens, pillows and mattresses were extremely soft and cozy. The property was stocked with lots of kitchen supplies, the bathroom with a plethora of towels/washcloths and body wash/shampoo and conditioner in the shower. The owners even left a lovely welcome gift of fresh eggs from their pasture-raised chickens. During our stay we had complete privacy even though the owner’s home is close-by. Lastly, we ended up needing to extend our stay by one night and the owners were gracious enough to accommodate our needs. We highly recommend this Airbnb property!

Just what we were looking for. A great stay

The house is amazing. When you’re coming through the neighborhood to get there you might be a little concerned that you’ve made a mistake, but you haven’t:). We explored the area on bicycles, grilled two of the three nights, and were all super comfortable. We enjoyed our stay so much. Do plan ahead for groceries and don’t bring a low ground clearance car;) as this house is pretty remote and on winding gravel roads.

We loved staying here and were so sad when it was time to leave. So beautiful and relaxing and felt like home away from home. The hosts checked on us multiple times and were so nice. Maintenance people came one day to maintain a bed, and they were really friendly and quick and professional.

Nice place! Very cosy and close to town. We skied at Wolf Creek and only takes about 25 minutes to get to the base.

We truly enjoyed our 4th stay at the immaculately clean and roomy barndominium. Fabulous location in the stunning Delores River valley. Sitting out on the beautiful covered deck, watching the river roll by, was paradise. The mountain views were the icing on the cake. Allyson and Mike are the most kind and generous hosts ever!

The location is really hard to beat. While I was there for skiing, this would also be great for a summer stay. If you cook like I do, this was one of the best and largest kitchens I’ve experienced at a rental in this price range. The patio was very nice as well. Even though the location is listed on Main, you are actually away from any noise and being slightly below ground level makes it quiet even on the patio.

A great place in the country that was very peaceful and with a beautiful view of the mountains. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great!

Sue and Ken were the kindest! Our dogs LOVED getting to spend time outside and there was so much space for us to relax. One of the highlights was the thoughtful care basket waiting for us on arrival, filled with snacks and local goodies-it truly made us feel welcomed. The location was peaceful/quiet and communication was seamless. Sue and Ken genuinely cared about making sure we had a great stay. Will definitely be coming back!
