Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Colorado River

This is a truly lovely place, near enough to Wimberley but isolated enough that you feel away from it all. It's exactly what we were looking for and I expect we'll return!

My Lady and I celebrated our three year anniversary here for a week. Maya was a great host. Everything was listed as it was. The entrance also had some updates and she let us know. The view is very breathtaking and the house was very cleanly and welcoming for us. There are instructions on how to use most utilities in the house. (the stove was very nice and required some figuring out haha) The master bedroom has a TV that comes down from the ceiling using a remote. The area is very quiet. The patio has a grill and some tables to eat outside if you wish. Maya will let you know if any lawn care contractors will be coming to help clear brush, so critters don't make homes where you walk around. Overall this is a great place to stay. Not only for the amazing view and home, but you'll also be having a host that will make sure you're taken care of and will answer you promptly. 10/10. We would stay here again. Thank you again Maya

Overall, it was a great stay! Very responsive and very helpful! Aside from a few unexpected critters everything was clean. The space was well kept and the outside fire pit was amazing to use! Loved staying here would definitely be open to staying here again if ever in Fredericksburg!

Mary and Ken’s wildlife ranch is hands-down the best Airbnb we have ever stayed at. It’s private, serene, perfectly situated in hill country, just outside of Fredericksburg. The home itself has everything you need and is the best stocked Airbnb I have ever encountered. The wildlife was amazing… we easily counted over 60 wild deer each day coming and going, as well as wild hog, turkey, and many birds. As an Airbnb host this is the level of hosting I strive for… they have thought of everything and ensure that you are well looked after; they are kind and generous hosts. I would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone who is looking for a getaway away from the crowd, but close enough to go to town if you want to.

This was hands-down one of the most amazing and unique Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had! I had surprised my husband for his 40th and he was blown away (which is hard to do!) From the moment we arrived, we were completely immersed in a magical puzzle adventure that had us hooked from beginning to end. The attention to detail was absolutely incredible—every clue, prop, and piece of the experience was so thoughtfully designed, it truly felt like stepping into another world. They even had a little gift for my husband as part of the “experience” and that was absolutely everything. But what made it even more unforgettable was our host. Kind, patient, and incredibly accommodating, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. You can tell they put their heart into every part of this experience. Whether you’re a puzzle lover or just looking for something out of the ordinary, do not miss this gem! Thank you for everything, Tami!

My husband and I had a great time. The view from the back porch is breathtaking! We could see Stillhouse Lake from the back porch and the hot tub. The beds were super comfy and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. We would definitely come back.

Jay's place was absolutely amazing. Very peaceful, clean, comfortable, easy to find and even has neighborhood park with pickle ball, pool and lake access. Close to lake Travis and Austin, but with a private and exclusive feel. The pool was amazing, but most of all the host was very responsive, respectful, friendly and accessible. It overall is a 5 star experience! I would definitely go back and I highly recommend!

BEAUTIFUL location and home!!! Extremely picturesque, feels secluded and private, the bathroom is gorgeous, all the amenities are perfect and George and Kim were amazing hosts, went above and beyond to make sure we were extremely comfortable and had a great vacation.

Peaceful & just what I needed for a “me treat”

Our stay was so peaceful and pleasant! The homemade Greek cookies were the icing on the cake! Short drive to downtown, minimal street traffic and the cowboy tub was the perfect temp for an evening hangout! Will stay again!

A found a great place to stay while visiting my sister who lives in Helotes and was a perfect get away only about a mile away from her. The host's Bob and Patti were very gracious and very helpful. It's a perfect over the garage loft that has all you need in it. Very quite. Sky lights light up the room. Clean and clean smelling. I enjoyed my ten day vacation experience there, you will too.

What a great value! Well decorated and spacious. Our host thought of everything. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. Incredible kitchen and bathroom. There is no question we will go there again if we come back to San Antonio. Loved the hill country of Texas. You will not be disappointed in any way if you stay!!

Place was very spacious with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, a big fridge, and more. Convenient that the elevator is right in front of the door and she provided all necessary information and essentials. The only downside is that there are occasional train horns and the surrounding neighborhood isn't the best. We crossed the bridge to put gas at the nearest gas station, but it was not a good area at all, we did not fill up and left the area immediately. We also didnt feel comfortable walking around the neighborhood, nor was there really anything around the neighborhood, but if you have a car, there are a lot of things less than 15 min away. We felt safer inside the property because of the gate. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Awesome place, no complaints. The place was loaded with a lot of stuff to make your stay even more awesome. Extra blankets, extra towels, even blankets for your dog's :), water, snacks, etc.

Loved this place! Butch and Elena were amazing hosts, super responsive and went out of their way to make the place feel like home. So much thought and care was put in to this little slice of heaven and it shows. 10 outta 10 recommend! Make sure to check out the local recommendations notebook for some awesome places!

Sharon was a very gracious host even brought us cookies which my husband thoroughly enjoyed. The area and the place was absolutely beautiful. It was very peaceful. We were there for a wedding at High Point Estates and it was close to the venue my favorite part of the whole cabin stay was the zebra and donkey named stripes and stars. We were able to feed them and enjoy them also. This is a place that I will definitely book again.

Words can't describe this stay. Bring right on the river, kayaking, swimming, the sheep/donkey/goats and the fire pit were just what we needed to unwind and detach from city life. Incredible stay, and we will definitely be back.

Had the best time at this place! It's a 20 minute drive from Wimberly, but when you're there, it feels completely remote. The hot tub was great, even in the summer heat, and everything worked perfectly. The kitchen is well stocked, and it was easy to bring some groceries and make a meal when we weren't having dinner in Wimberly. Getting cell signal was tough out there, but that made it easy to finish my book! There is also a lot of fun nature watching through the windows and on the patio. I would come back here again.

Absolutely loved our stay! Perfect location, secluded feel but close enough to everything. Sunflower cabin was as described and perfect! We will be back!
