Family-friendly holiday rentals in Clifden

The cabin was spotless and the location was spectacular, Mary and her sister Breeta were a pleasure to deal with. The cabin and the views were amazing, we spent it as a couple and with friends but it is ideal for family break also would love to go back highly recommend it.

Collanmore Island Lodge is unreal, couldn't recommend it more! We had the best stag weekend ever here and Ciaran is a absolute gent. Getting to the island is easy and exciting, beds are comfy and facilities are top notch. Ideal for big family gatherings or any type of West of Ireland getaway. I will be back again for sure, thank you Ciaran and your great team.

Gorgeous property, very clean and even bigger in person than in pictures. The sauna is lovely however we weren’t able to use the hot tub as it wouldn’t heat even after a strong fire and a few hours and we weren’t able running out of wood.

Mary was so lovely and welcoming. She was easily contactable and so warm and friendly. We were keen to have a bit of privacy and she left us to our own devices to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The location of the apartment is really spectacular. Sitting in the hot tub looking out on the lake was a real highlight of the trip.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grattan Holiday Apartments, car parking out the back, spacious rooms, well-equipped kitchen and within walking distance to the beach, local pubs and restaurants. It's about a 20 minute walk into Galway city and taxi back is around €10. Highly recommend a stay here. Sean and Cathal are on hand if you need them and will recommend places to visit and eat

Our family loved the cottage. The views and sunsets were just beautiful. It is 2 minutes from Cliffs if Moher and about 8 minutfrom Doolin. It was a nice touch to have breakfast foods for the first morning. The hot tub was an added bonus. We had a great dinner at Russell Seafood and listened to music at McDermotts.

A beautiful building lovingly restored in a great location if you like walks, beautiful countryside while still being near to towns and villages for a nice meal out. John was so helpful and friendly, it just started our break off on the right foot. Ps bring carrots for the donkeys in the paddock next door, the stars of the show

We were more than satisfied with the accommodation. We were greeted by horses and the extremely sweet little dog Minnie, and then by delicious scones in the apartment. The area is beautiful and we went on several day trips to Connemara National Park, Burren National Park, the Aran Islands/Cliffs of Moher and Galway. What's more, the area was just perfect for us and the children. My daughters loved feeding the horses and playing with Minnie the dog. Or, if it rains a little, there is additional room for playing, which is equipped with some toys, table tennis, etc. Maura responded quickly to minor problems and helped us out, and was generally very accommodating. If we ever visit Ireland again, we will definitely stop by here again.

We had such a lovely few days in this gorgeous cottage. The views are just fab and Theresa couldn’t have been more helpful. We hope to return soon.

Pat and Mary Angela are marvellous hosts. When we arrived the fires were lit, the table was set and there were gorgeous scones made by Mary Angela. They are both so friendly and gave lots of recommendations of places to visit. Their lovely cottage is perfectly situated for exploring Galway. It is definitely a home from home. My husband and I along with our 3 adult children and 2 Jack Russells had a great time there and we had everything we needed. We also loved Pat and Mary Angela's cafe and bookshop in Oughterard Village. Well worth a visit. Couldn't recommend this cottage highly enough!

This house is a gem in the An Spiedal area. The house is super private and in a great location, pretty right on the water with view of Water and Aran islands from the kitchen. I had coffee just staring at the sights every morning. You can walk around there property or take a short walk to the beach front. This is the perfect place for a quiet getaway. The town has just enough stores and restaurants to get by and if needed, Galway is maybe 25 mins away. The hosts communicated well and gave clear instructions, read them all, will be useful on your stay. Whatever you need will be in the instructions they provide. Overall a great place to stay and relax. This was the third Airbnb we stayed in Ireland and by far the best in terms of location and scenery. Do visit Galway and also drive to Kylemore Abbey when you are here, both will not disappoint.

The location and view were breathtaking - looking out over Fanore beach, nestled against the hills of the Burren. John was flexible and quick to respond. Pet friendly & a small shop + bar nearby. Will stay there again soon. 10/10 would recommend. A true taste of the real Ireland.

Booked the place for my best friend Hen weekend and there was 16 of us. The place was exactly what we dreamed of and more. Definitely exceeded our expectations and we had the most perfect weekend. The surf boards came in great use , and the accommodations just suited us well with spare cabins that could be used. Couldn’t recommend the place enough. Olivia and her husband Ry were very responsive if we had any issues and even allowed us to check out late. Honestly the place was perfect

This place was an absolute gem on our trip around Ireland! It gave us the feeling of being in old Ireland and was so cozy and inviting! Couldn’t have been happier with this place! The area was private and was still close enough to things to do in the surrounding areas! The Host was amazing to top it all off!

Marie was a superstar host, she made bread and a tart for us and had the fridge and pantry stocked with staples!

Sea Breeze is a beautiful spot, ideal for exploring Doolin & all the area has to offer. Would highly recommend to anyone keen to get to know the wild Atlantic way. A great find.

A little piece of heaven. We loved staying in this beautiful home in the quiet countryside. Barbara was so kind and sweet and generous, giving us fresh baked goods and produce from the garden. The home was beautiful and perfect in every way.

One of the best bnbs you can ask for, perfect lakeside retreat. Want to get back to see how the winter there looks like. Patrick has been very responsive to all my queries and had kept the place so well. Thanks again for hosting

We loved staying in The Bakery. The Photos don’t do it justice. Spacious and pristine. Maeve was very quick to respond to any queries we had. She had also left Lindor chocolates, biscuits and fresh flowers for us which was just lovely. Roundstone is so picturesque, with a couple of lovely pubs and the walk on the nearby beaches on Christmas Day morning was just stunning. Would highly recommend staying here.

This was a wonderful place!

Justin and Veronica’s place was absolutely perfect for our trip to Spiddal. The roundhouse was a joy to stay in—cozy and warm thanks to the bio burner, with beautiful views of the garden, trees, and birds. The main bed was very comfortable, and even the pull-out beds were great! Everything we needed was provided, and we knew that if anything had come up, our lovely hosts would’ve been happy to help. The float tank and sauna were the cherry on top—so relaxing—and Veronica was very accommodating with timing. Justin and Veronica were respectful of our privacy, which made the space feel peaceful and homely, yet they were always helpful when needed. I really enjoyed chatting with them—such kind, welcoming people. The area is full of beautiful walks, beaches, and all the amenities you might need. The roundhouse is just a short stroll from the village. A perfect base for exploring—we’d gladly return and highly recommend it!

David was super friendly and offered a fab list of recommendations for places to eat, things to do and see. The house is beautiful and you felt right at home. He was so responsive and really helped to make our trip to Achill a fabulous one!

We loved our stay at Jacqui's place! We only wish we could have stayed longer. We did a day trip to the Aran Islands and enjoyed driving around Connemara, but the kids loved coming back to such a great house (with easy beach access!). We also loved the surrounding animals. Home had everything we needed (and more), and Jacqui was always helpful and quick to respond. What a beautiful part of Ireland 😊
