The HOUSE SHARED bathroom has it's own side entrance, across from the Cabin. There is a SUMMER SHARED porta-potty and proper shower, right close by, as well. The Door Room is located in the heart of historic downtown Sturgeon Bay and within walking distance of all the action! It was creatively decorated with "subtle" school-themed touches that just may remind you of a dorm room (minus the ramen and bunk beds!) Thanks Robby, This was a terrific experience! We enjoyed our stay on this boatel. It’s cozy for sure, best to bring only what you need as the space in your room is limited. After sitting on the deck in the fresh air to watch the sunset, we slept great! Both of us commented to each other about the comfy mattresses. We are in our 60’s and we’re apprehensive about the bunks but it wasn’t a problem as my hubby used the provided ladder to get up onto the top bunk. The Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Fun gift shop. Check in and out was easy. Please read the full Paperwork before signing! I say this because it does mention that guests should be quiet and respectful in the hallway and in their rooms. We did appreciate the clean rooms, linens, and reading hall with a great reading library from which to borrow during your stay. There is a cd player with 1930-40’s music that matches the atmosphere perfectly. If we find ourselves in the area in the future would stay here again!

The place is better in person than the pictures, and the view is breathtaking. The boardwalk is right across the street, which is super helpful for taking furry friends on a walk. Everything we needed was there, and the beds were comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place.

The property was exactly how described and the hosts were top notch. It is a wonderful property with so much space and all the comforts of home. It is also perfectly located - close to the parks which were amazing for my dog as well as close to egg harbor, fish creek and sister bay. A wonderful time in a truly relaxing spaces.

Great stay in a unique space. Our room was large, comfortable, quiet and clean. The building itself is super cool - a historic property nicely decorated with period furniture, complete with a cute pub, small theater and sitting room. Shared bathroom and coffee area didn’t really feel shared. We didn’t use the outdoor area, but it was well maintained. Michael was a gracious host - available when needed but not overly present. And the cats were playful and friendly. Location is remote - several miles from a decent sized town. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay at the Dockside Retreat was absolutely fantastic! The home offered a peaceful stay, with plenty of options for adults and children. We loved the quiet canal and kayaks, neighborhood family walks and cannot say enough about the pool, hot tub and fire pit areas! There was plenty of room for our family to spread out, while enjoying time together in the open floor plan of the main living spaces. Beautifully decorated and clean throughout, with many thoughtful touches. Jenny and Jeff were quick to respond with questions we had, and went above and beyond for all of our time—thank you again!!

The location was exactly as described and matched the pictures. Jedediah was proactive and friendly in all communications. The home was clean and there was plenty of room for the 5 of us. There were many amenities there already and the beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay there again when heading around Door County.

It took me a little to figure out the light situation. Most notably how to turn on the lights in the bathroom. I don[t know if I was informed or not but the only thing I wasn't prepared for was there was no coffee pot. I brought all that with me and couldn't find one. The truth is that that may have been mentioned but i didn't see it. If you are using this place for fishing headquarters it's great. also not far from food tackle ect.
