Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Clarke County

My husband and I were looking for a place that our family could relax and make memories for our wedding weekend. Janell and Bruce’s home offered just that. They were wonderful hosts - they were responsive, the place was beautifully kept, and they even gave us an early check-in so my family could get settled. The porch and kitchen are fantastic and gave us a chance to have a nice family barbecue to kick off our wedding weekend festivities. We highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful escape with modern amenities and super gracious hosts!

The home was extremely comfortable & peaceful since it is out in the country. The house offers spacious common areas for interacting & dining. Beds & linens were quality & comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped which was helpful since restaurants were in town.

Amazing, amazing place. Will be back! Absolutely stunning. We came in May and the weather was perfect. Also the host was extremely friendly and helpful. A tree fell on the road by the gate on Saturday and within 30 minutes they had it cleared. Beyond helpful.

The house was a great choice for what I needed. Nicole was very responsive and super flexible with check in and check out times. Its great for kids and if your looking for a nice quiet place to get together with friends.

We stayed in Nicola’s cottage for a wedding weekend. Nicola was proactive in reaching out and sent clear instructions on how to access the cottage. Once inside, the cottage was lovely and as it looked in the photos. The screened in porch was wonderful to enjoy the serene surroundings. For checkout, the clean up instructions were fair. We had a great stay with Nancy for a weekend getaway. The location was clean and simple, providing just what we needed to lounge before we were able to take a few short trips to Harper's Ferry, Shepherdstown, and Frederick. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful and check-in was straightforward and easy. It's a great find if you're looking for a spot to act as a quick respite between local travel - there's no TV or large furniture to lounge, which was just fine for our needs. The wifi did drop out occassionally, and the service (Verizon) didn't provide great coverage as a backup, so something to keep in mind if critical to stay connected. It was a quaint and comfortable experience and very affordable as a launching point to multiple nearby towns. Highly recommend if you're in the area and want something simple, cozy, and accessible.

Excellent host. Very clean place, beautiful property. Laura was amazing. It was like staying with a good friend. We bought some of her eggs and delicious honey. We would definitely stay there again. My wife and I and our fur babies will miss Laura, Jerald, and Dasher.

I am always somewhat reluctant to use these kinds of apartments due to misleading info in the past, but Tyler and Peggy were wonderful to work with as well as having a lovely apartment. The feel was comfortable and felt new at the same time. Location is perfect for restaurants and exploring the historical sites. They were both very responsive to questions and comments and were very welcoming. I would look for them as hosts in other areas!

My husband and I love staying here and come once to twice a year. Butch and Lynn are very responsive and the nest is cozy and clean. We always look forward to our stay!

Lovely space that was well equipped with anything we needed. Clean & quiet. Conveniently located to lots of attractions a drive or walk away. We would definitely stay again.

Gail is a delight of a person, I’m so glad I got to meet her. You can tell she loves this place, and that makes all the difference. This whole property is lovely and well thought out. The stairs have extra padding and the walls are solid making it surprisingly a really quiet stay. This unit is comfortably furnished and well-designed. It’s small but it doesn’t feel small at all. We were so comfortable and happy here. It felt safe and happy. Also, I’m a local and I love my town, but if you’re reading this as an out of towner wanting to visit Winchester, this is THE prime location. Washington Street is truly special, and you’re just around the corner from our beautiful downtown walking mall. Come stay at Gail’s place and enjoy this sweet town.

Absolutely charming place to stay for our weekend visit to Winchester! Host was friendly, location was convenient to old town and to highway. Unit was super cute and wonderfully decorated. Had everything we needed and was a good place to stay with our pup. Would definitely recommend!

We liked the house very much. It`s an ancient historic house, though with all modern conveniences. Very comfortable bed, comfortable couch, convenient kitchen with all necessary kitchenware and utensils. The towels and bed linen are of good quality, all very clean and new. Good internet. Also the house appeared to be more spacious as it seemed on the pictures. Location is perfect, right in the center. We highly recommend this house for long-term stays.

I loved the character and feel of our stay! Wonderful natural lighting and plenty of space. Although the music downstairs lasted a bit longer than expected, it did not diminish in any way the quality of our stay and I would happily stay here again!

Very close to the hospital I needed to get to. Super clean, and very comfortable. The host is very flexible, and very sweet. I would definitely recommend, and I would definitely stay again.

This AirBnb hosted by Julie was perfect! The space was just what we needed as a little home base as we explored Harper’s Ferry and the surrounding area. Julie provided great recommendations in terms of places to eat. Would love to go back!

Nice, clean place. Good location for that area.

Alison's place is great if you value being walkable to Old Town. We prefer this over staying at the Wyndham Grand because of the separate room for our baby to sleep in. The kitchen is modern and fridge with a water filter is clutch. We didn't try to make any meals. Bed was clean/firm, HVAC was responsive, and lounge chair in the sitting area was comfortable. You can hear the train and street noise (especially cars w/o mufflers) at night, but I assume that's the case if you stay anywhere near Old Town.

Taylor is an excellent host, great communicator and very welcoming. The place was absolutely clean, tidy and organized. We highly recommend Taylor and her place.

Second time I have stayed and I enjoy the location and the close by food and drink options. Very quiet for a downtown location. While they do not offer parking, free parking is just two blocks away. The street parking in from of Abolitionist makes it easy to unload.
