Jimmy was very friendly and helpful. His place was clean, and very well stocked with amenities and breakfast foods. It’s in a great location and nice and clean. I would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay in Frinton-on-Sea - the house was perfect for our needs; well appointed, bright and comfy. The enclosed garden space was perfect for a dog and a toddler, and never felt overlooked. Thank you to Carly for making us feel welcome.

Van is in one of the best spots for views and privacy. Very comfortable with everything you need close by. Another fab stay.

A wonderful house in beautiful surroundings. It also had that more difficult to attain "presence", with each room allowing you to relax and experience its homeliness and history. The whole family (6 adults and 2 grandchildren) thoroughly enjoyed our stay to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday. No-one really wanted to leave. Waking up to see the expanse of manicured gardens from bedroom windows and breakfast room was a calming relaxing pleasure. Plenty of walks available, and the walk to the local pub for an evening meal was safe and easy along quiet country roads. Would certainly recommend.

Fantastic stay with my family. We have outgrown a caravan holiday and this was absolutely perfect for us. Private but with neighbours. Very relaxing. Wonderful to have a fully functional kitchen with all you need to cook breakfast, lunch or dinner! Hidden treasure!

Absolutely perfect stay in a beautiful area. The house was spotless and even bigger than the photos show! It was perfect for 4 adults and my 16 month old daughter. Stuart sent great instructions through and loads of information about the local area, although we actually loved the house and grounds so much that we didn’t venture any further - we had a lovely few relaxing days in the house and walks around the woodland. My daughter even got to feed the goats. Will definitely come back, and will do a summer visit too as the pool looked beautiful.

We had a relaxing stay in Julie's cottage, which had everything we needed and a bonus of two bathrooms. The kids enjoyed the toys and the garden. It is really peaceful at night and nearby to the harbour and town so we could walk everywhere and visit the local restaurants and pubs, which were great. Nice lido and playground for children and we recommend taking the harbour ferry to East Mersea. A lovely stay, thankyou.

John’s place was very clean and exactly as advertised. He also made an effort to leave milk, juice & cookies so we’ve had something to nibble on it for was needed. Nice area & shop was very close by. Great place to stay

Enjoyed staying at Peter's flat, very comfortable. Was working in the area for a few days and it was great to be able to cook and cater for myself rather than eating out all the time. Central location and great for going for walks in the evenings. Added bonus a parking space!

20 years ago we were married at Layer Marney Towers and returning to stay at Nicholas' Airbnb was an anniversary present to my husband. We had not visited since we were married so really appreciated being able to explore the grounds and gardens in peace to relive our memories and re-create some of our wedding pics. Nicholas very kindly opened up the room where we said our vows all those years ago. The space itself was charming and romantic and so so quiet (unless you count the chattering of jackdaws and bleatings of the sheep!) We slept well on the comfy 4-poster bed and enjoyed exploring some of the footpaths from the door to Aberton Reservoir and the Hare & Hounds at Birch. I really hope we do not leave it another 20 years before returning. This really is a very special place.

Jo was a superb host! Very helpful with recommendations and instructions to get into the place. She went above and beyond as well. When my friend left her rings behind, Jo helped us to look for it and arranged to have them returned to my friend. Her place also has a great location and is near to both the Colchester Town station as well good food options nearby. We really enjoyed our stay here and will hope to return next time!

Our second stay at the Old School Rooms. We were impressed the first time (April 2025) and just so on this visit (May 2025). It so comfortable you immediately feel at home. Everything available that you may need. Judith an excellent host, always responds promptly and very helpful. We would have no hesitation in recommending.

Great location, near city centre and many nearby eateries by the waterfront

We were greeted by the lovely Teresa who was super helpful and friendly! The stay was just what we needed close to the Suffolk Show grounds as we were attending the following day! She had great details about the show which really helped us! The accommodation was great, it was super clean and just like the photos! Had a lovely nights sleep to set us up for the following day! This accommodation is clean, comfortable and very well equipped. There are lots of lovely local walks and a couple of convenience stores and pubs within walking distance. There are lots location is peaceful with a nice outdoor courtyard garden. Occasionally footsteps can be heard from above the bedroom due to the accommodation being underneath part of the owner’s home.

Me and my partner have just got back from three nights in West mersea, the room was amazing , super comfy and clean , had everything we needed ! The location was perfect close to places to eat and close to the water front ! If you are looking for somewhere to stay in mersea please take a look at this place ! Well worth the money and the host was very lovely and accommodating !

Beautiful flat, super comfy in terrific location. Around the corner from many shops, pubs, restaurants and five minutes' walk to marina and harbour with gorgeous views. Mark was very prompt and responsive. Hope to stay longer next time. We loved Woodbridge! Many thanks, Mark.

properties are very nice split level property that reminds me of an old Edwardian type property. It’s been very nicely done out the hot tub is really good and just generally everything just worked. The location is really good and we’d love to come back.

We stayed here for a couple of days whilst visiting family in Frinton. It was peaceful, extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean, well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. Carole's garden was very lovely with a friendly dog running around. Carole herself was friendly, relaxed and helpful. Well situated for Frinton and surrounding area. Definitely recommended.

Had a great stay at Katy’s space. Everything was clean, comfortable and matched the description and we enjoyed the goodies Katy stocked the kitchen with to get us going! Great location - very close to everything we needed. If I was ever in Walton or Essex again would be happy to stay again. Communicating with Katy was very easy and she was happy to help with any questions!

Micheal was really warm & welcoming host, with lots of humour & charm. He makes a mean cocktail in their cool little bar at the back of their lovely danish shop He gave us great recommendations for place to go and places to eat . The studio is above the shop and is very clean with everything you need , perfect for 2 people. When we return to Frinton we will definitely be trying to stay at the studio. Thank you’re hospitably

Our stay was wonderful, very comfortable and homely. Everything catered for and a lovely surprise of a welcome basket for us humans and a treat and toy for our doggie! The apartment is as described with convenient parking in a quiet location. Within walking distance to a local restaurant and Co-op plus fish and chip shop. Ideal for a short stay in Woodbridge and to visit the nearby attractions by car. We had a very enjoyable stay here having been greeted by the hosts on arrival.

Super accommodation, comfortable and convenient for Colchester. Siri provided excellent information prior to my arrival. I would definitely book again if work brought me back to Colchester.
