Lesley’s home is full of character and has a lot to recommend it. The kitchen is large and bright, perfect for hanging out. The sitting room is cosy and the bedrooms are all interestingly different from one another. It is right in the heart of old Wivenhoe, close to the river, pubs and the train station. There is also a good bus service to the University and Colchester from nearby. I would definitely choose to stay at Lesley’s house again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tide House. It was spacious and extremely comfortable. After a hard days work with Time team at Sutton Hoo, the bath was a godsend. We were both very pleased with our stay. Easy to get to the town and all the amenities available. Lovely walks along the Deben river. Didn't hear any traffic noise at night, had a good night's sleep. All in all great stay. Thank you Ps parking fine.

Absolutely beautiful, location is peaceful and picturesque. The property is well equipped, comfortable and just stunning. Will definitely be coming back here again!!

We had such a wonderful stay at Honeybee cottage. Our host was incredibly helpful in the lead-up to our stay and we felt really welcome when we arrived. The cottage is fantastic in many ways - comfortable, clean, homely, equipped with everything we needed, has a car space and a garden. It’s also brilliantly located close by to many great cities, villages, beaches and attractions. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property to others and will definitely try to book again the next time we’re in the area.

Took my mum for a 50th birthday surprise and she loved the house and area loads the house was really clean and all in great condition Kelly answered my questions very fast when I had any! Took the dog with us as well having the garden was very convenient and a good little space for him to sniff around lol. Overall we absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend! Visited for a wedding nearby, great stay and Melanie was flexible with check in times.

We stayed for three nights and enjoyed every minute of it. Lovely home space for 2 cars and everything we needed. Local shop was 1min walk away we visited the beach 10/15 mins drive and Colchester-zoo 20mins away also 10 mins away there was a small shopping centre. The rooms were good size beds comfortable With a great well equipped kitchen and a nice size garden the kids and dog enjoyed. Great host and would 💯 come back

Great stay! Really nice! Very close to the beach, lovely walks to west Mersea. Shanice was bang on with her communication.

We were recommended Sprotts Farm by a friend and it didn’t disappoint. A great feel at home place to stay, set amongst the most beautiful wooded countryside. Everything was as described and we’ll certainly be back for a return visit 😊 Leo, our pampered pooch certainly enjoyed exploring the grounds and the woods were definitely a bonus. Perfect getaway to unwind and recharge.

Perfect place for a little break. Cleanest caravan we’ve ever stayed in! Bedding looked, felt and smelt fresh, bathroom, toilet and kitchen all clean and well equipped, and Yussuf was quick to respond with any questions. We’d definitely stay again.

Polly place was magical. It is really well set up, with amenities that you would need. The grounds are beautiful and the house cosy. We fell in love with their little dog Lettice. We hope to come back one day.

My son and I and our three dogs absolutely loved Deer Lodge, a clean and cosy living space. Sue was there to meet us on arrival, and explained everything clearly - a super host. The grounds were perfect for our dogs and the short walk to the estuary really lovely. Colchester is within easy reach which was perfect for meeting up with friends. Already looking to book again for September. Thankyou so much Sue it was exactly what we needed.

The Cabin was clean, well presented and, with a secure garden, made it an ideal two-night stay with our dog. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and the area was quiet with plenty of walks nearby and easy access to all amenities. Overall, a great stay!

A lovely 1 night stay so we could see family nearby. Extremely convenient for Clacton and site itself had lots to offer. A great deal and having milk in the fridge waiting for us was a lovely touch after a long drive and a much needed cup of tea.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Mark's apartment! Mark was a great host, very responsive, gave clear instructions and was super friendly and helpful. The apartment itself was clean, as advertised and right across the road from the beach and pier. I hope to stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay. There are lots of restaurants and cafes within walking distance and the beautiful and spacious park is just across the road which was really handy. The apartment is comfortable and uncluttered which suited us and the excellent check-in instructions made this aspect really easy and straightforward. The hosts are really responsive so we wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here. Having an allocated parking space was the icing on the cake as we were in and out a lot visiting various local attractions. Our favourite things to do were the guided tour of the castle, Mersea Island and the Beth Chatto Gardens. If you want to splash out then we can really recommend booking the tasting menu at Kintsu - absolutely superb.

Just what I was looking for. A relaxing, calm location that allowed me to rest and walk plenty. Access to the country park and water front was ideal for my dog and I. The enclosed patio permitted my dog to roam in and out of the accommodation and the outside hose came in handy when I needed to wash her down. The accommodation was simple but comfortable. Everything I needed was available. The locals were friendly and helpful. I hope to visit again in the future. Thank you for the wine and treats!
