Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Christchurch

Beautifully appointed home with incredible views of the ocean and the snow capped mountains. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend Karina and this beautiful property.

What a beautiful home in a unique location. Our three generations gathered from three countries for a lovely 5 days together in Christchurch. The views from all levels of this home are over the top. With high end cookware, two dishwashers and (my personal favorite and usual airbnb pet peeve) sharp knives, we grilled and gathered for “dinners in” every night instead of going out. Great access to governors bay pier and coffee/pizza just a short walk away. Loved this place so much and would return in a heartbeat.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jess’s place. She was very proactive, friendly and made sure we were comfortable. Loved the way how she has decorated the house. Every corner was a depiction of her creativity. Definitely recommend her stay if you’re planning to stay in that area. 10/10

Tracy’s home was the perfect getaway for our family. The house is not only beautiful but also incredibly comfortable. Traveling with two infants, we had a few extra needs, and Tracy went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. Communication was clear, quick, and helpful throughout our stay. We’d happily return in a heartbeat!

Enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The location is about a 30 minute drive from central areas in downtown Christchurch so it may not be ideal depending on what it is you would like to do. It is important to note the road (or walk) up to the place is quite steep. Overall it is a very quiet and peaceful place to stay.

We can’t recommend Blake’s property highly enough. The views are simply spectacular, the house is warm and inviting and the area is great with lots to do. Blake’s communication was excellent and always responsive. We look forward to returning again soon! Sam

We had the best weekend in the city celebrating a birthday and just loved Sue and Jeff’s fabulous apartment. We arrived to a birthday card and a bottle of bubbly, such a thoughtful touch and we loved all the other little extras that were provided. It was the most perfect location and we loved coming back to our warm, cosy and very relaxing abode at the end of the day. We will definitely return. Thanks Sue and Jeff.

Carol and John are very nice, friendly hosts. Very welcoming and helpful with advice on walking tracks, things to see, and places to eat. A lovely place to stay, with a nice garden area with a view, through french doors. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Meg was an amazing host — friendly, responsive, and made sure everything was just right. The apartment was spotless, beautifully presented, and had all the comforts we needed. One of the best parts was how close it was to Christchurch Central everything was within walking distance, from cafes and shops to the city’s main attractions. It made our stay super convenient and stress-free. We couldn’t have asked for a better location or host. Highly recommend Meg’s place and would definitely stay again!

We have stayed with Ann-Marie several times now and as usual it was excellent. it has everything we need, it is warm and comfortable and Ann-Marie and Russell are great hosts.

This is a wonderful place in Cashmere. It is close to Cashmere hill outlook with beautiful views. You can also enjoy the view from a large window in room. The place is fully equipped with all you need for short and long stay. I stayed there for 4 weeks and I enjoyed every moment of it. Many thanks to Sue for offering this place. It was my first time in Christchurch and if I go there again, I will definitely stay at this place again!

We had a lovely stay here!! Absolutely beautiful apartment, the heated toilet seats were a boujee addition. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

It was a great start to our family vacation in NZ. Amy’s place is cosy, clean and comfortable. Beds are comfy and with hotel quality linen…plus bakery and coffee shop downstairs, it definitely helps to start the day on the right foot. It is also located opposite Holey Moley - the mini -golf venue. We had so much fun with our 8 yo boy there:-) Thank you for a lovely stay, Amy. We also appreciate you allowed us to check in early in the morning on this occasion.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Susan’s! The house was spacious and adequately equipped. It was also very well located as it’s a very short drive and probably about 10-15min walk to the central city! Susan was also a great host — she’s very quick to respond to our queries, gave clear and easy instructions for checking in/out, and overall made our stay very enjoyable!

Really handy location and easy walking distance into the CBD. The garden/outdoor area could use a bit of a spruce up to make it useable but the place was otherwise was great and fulfilled our needs 😊

This is an absolute gem of an Airbnb, beautifully decorated has everything you need, and a five minute walk to the city. Everything is super convenient and Lily, our host, was quick to respond and patient. I will definitely come back!
