Holiday rentals with a kayak in Chautauqua County

My family loved staying at Leslie's house! It offers a stunning view of the lake and is perfect for a relaxing vacation. The house is impeccably clean, well-maintained, and fully stocked with plenty of towels, kayaks, indoor and outdoor games, and more. I highly recommend it for a family vacation and would love to stay there again! Oh, and Leslie is an excellent host -- super friendly and provides every last detail you will need. Thank you, Leslie!

Location- We were excited to find this home. My husband and in laws were coming to town to snowmobile. My daughter and I wanted to tag along, but needed a place to stay during the day. It was perfect for this! They were able to ride the snowmobiles right from the house and jump on the trail. There was a cute diner in town and a library that we visited during the day. Host- I messaged the host ahead of time to see if a late check out was available. They answered quickly and were able to accommodate at a more than fair price. Also, the unthinkable happened during our visit. I ran outside to the load the car in the frigid weather and got locked outside while my daughter was inside. Not only did the host answer my frantic call, they were at the home WITHIN MINUTES to unlock the door. Home- The house had all the essentials for our stay (including a pack n play). At first we thought the cleaning fee was steep, but the pristine house upon arrival made it definitely worthwhile. 5 stars!

Elizabeth's house was perfect for our family of 5! The house was clean, smelled nice and had so many amenities. We appreciated not needing to bring paper towels, toilet paper, etc. with us. The outdoor space is great and well kept. My family enjoyed the hammocks, swimming in the lake and fishing off the dock during the day and bonfires in the evening. We loved visiting the ice cream shop across the street. Elizabeth was so kind and responsive. She went out of her way to have the dock installed prior to our stay. Don't pass up this amazing house or host! Memories to last a lifetime!!

We had a lovely stay at this lake house in Mayville, NY. The home was clean, cozy, and exactly as described—everything was in perfect order when we arrived. You can tell the hosts put care into creating a welcoming space. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate during our stay, and we had rain and heavy fog most of the time, which limited our ability to enjoy the beautiful outdoor space and lakefront views—the main reason we booked this property. That said, the home itself was a great retreat, and we’d love to come back when the weather is more cooperative to fully enjoy all it has to offer.

Staying at Jessie's place in Lily Dale was great. We were gathering for a family reunion close by and there was ample space for all of us (5 adults and 2 kids). Lots of space for sleeping, eating together and relaxing. The patio was very peaceful with the sounds of many types of birds. The house was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Lily Dale was fun to explore on foot and there is a beach less than 5 minutes walk away with a great view of the sunset. Jessie was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had.

This is our favorite place to visit yearly!! The cabin is original, quaint and adorably decorated. We love all of the original features but it’s the property, location and view that will draw us back every single year!! There is nowhere like this locally that is rentable. We enjoyed our coffee by a morning fire while listening to the waves, took a short walk to our completely private beach with our dogs and spent the day looking for sea glass. The evenings were spent playing with our dogs on the large property, a nice dinner and watching the amazing sunset. We also built a fire in the evening and stared at the millions of stars in the sky while again listening to the peaceful waves. The beds were comfortable and the lighting made for a cozy feel watching some tv before bed. Really there are no words to express this place and Alexis who is just phenomenal, she is so pleasant, responsive and helpful!! You just have to see it to believe a place like this exists!! Our dogs loved it as well

This house is amazing. It is even more beautiful than the pictures. Beautiful view directly on the lake. Spacious house and lots of room for my elderly father to maneuver with a cane and/walker. Judith is a gracious hostess!

This was our first experience staying on the lake. The house was a spacious paradise, beautifully firnished and serene. It felt like we were on our own island with an exceptionally long/sturdy private boat dock. We had the best time with the water crafts provided by Kirstan who was an excellent hostess, very welcoming of any inquiries. We are a family of eight and loved exploring the nearby town's shops and restaurants. There was not one thing that was not provided.

We found Justin's place to meet our need of finding a place on the water, near the lake to unwind and rest our brains. The house was very well equipped with everything we needed. We were able to grill out, cook in the kitchen with very well stocked appliances and tools, enjoy the kayaks and sit by a fire pit. We are familiar with the area so we were happy to see that he had Lake Life Kitchen on his recommended list because it's a favorite of ours as well. We had breakfast there twice. We also went to Busti Tap House for dinner and had a great bartender, Barb, who made our experience there fun. We were very grateful for Justin's quick responses and how he took care of our needs. (replaced the firepit within hours so we could have one to use) We loved the friendly neighbors and yet were able to feel like we could unwind and rest as well. We would recommend this place!

The quiet neighborhood with birds singing, waves lapping on the shore, and the breezes coming through the screened deck doors make sleeping in that oh so comfortable bed an overnight vacation. You will certainly get your rest! If you come from the North, make sure to stop in for a take out supper at Off-The-Hook Seafood place at the Dunkirk Pier before the last 5 miles to Wisteria Cottage.

Perfect weekend stay for my husband and I. The inside is pretty. Bed is comfy. I saw the most amazing sunrise Saturday morning! It does get super hot upstairs so you need to follow the instructions that are left on the fridge. Favorite spots: Johnson Estate winery & Truffle Honey (it is close & it was delicious)!

Great place to stay. Very quiet and relaxing. It was wonderful to have access to the kayaks and canoes. Also, a decent size table. Kitchen had adequate supplies.

We took a girls weekend to the Lake. While the weather wasn’t what we expected, the space accommodated our backup plans of crafts and movies and snacking! It was lovely, cozy, and enjoyable.

We had a good time staying at Heather and John's lake home in Bemus Point. You cannot beat the location regarding short travel times to area destinations. The house's living space has an open layout to encourage gathering which is nice. The hosts are familiar with the area, will meet you at check-in, and are available to answer questions you may have throughout. Compared to a lot of rentals by Lake Chautauqua, Heather and John's place is affordable to stay at for more than a weekend. Overall, a calm, relaxed getaway for your family. Here are a couple things not in the listing that are helpful to know up front when booking: 1. The house's water source is well water. This is typical for most houses in the area, but it does mean reduced water useage during your stay. 2. One bedroom (bed with white quilt in photos) has the washer/dryer in it and the door leading through to the back. 3. To get to the dock and to walk the neighborhood, you will walk down/up a decent incline.

super cottage in a super location. friendly hosts, always responsive. nice kitchen and great shower with plenty of hot water. beds and furniture comfortable. nice to have washer and dryer and weber grill outside.

We had a great time. The house was what we were looking for. The host was very friendly and helpful. My grandkids loved the fishing and kayaking. We looking forward to comeback next year at the same time. Thank you again.

Our two families with kids had a great time at this beautiful lake house. Emily sent us very clear/helpful instructions regarding check in/check out, and had a few great suggestions for places to visit. The area was nice and peaceful and tons to do in the nearby area. A wonderful experience!

Wonderful space for us and our dogs to relax after traveling all day! Wish we had more time at the spot!

This was a last minute booking when our winter cabin reservation had to cancel. It turned out great! Beautiful, comfortable, very well stocked log home that had everything we needed and more! Pond was skateable at edge and the hill next to the house was perfect for sledding. Our grandkids had a ball! Dianna quickly responded to all our inquiries and they even made it possible to get a campfire started . Thank you!

Truly unforgettable stay at this cabin! My hubby and I came with the dogs for a peaceful getaway for my 30th bday. The host was so sweet, responsive and THOUGHTFUL!💖 I was shocked when we first came into the cabin, thinking my hubby set something up but the host had put a ballon and cookies and personalized dog biscuits?!!! on the table for us! (Thank you so much again Carrie!) the cows came right up to the fence and the dogs were obsessed 😊 the dogs enjoyed dipping their feet in the pond and watching the fish and geese as well. no bored pups here! there was a tops and antique shops nearby and plenty of other things to do and eat nearby. we purchased ground beef and eggs from the host while there too which was awesome! we can’t wait to go back again soon and bring our kayaks this time 😁

Beautiful and peaceful location to stay while selling at the Chatauqua Craft Alliance show. Quaint and relaxing. Lots of natural light and airflow!
