House holiday rentals in Charlottesville

The Airbnb advertisement for the house does not adequately convey how nice this place actually is! Most of the items in the house: furniture, appliances, cookware, grill, bedding, towels, etc. are of high quality and excellent condition. The interior of the house is open, spacious and beautiful. It has high ceilings in most rooms, and a vaulted ceiling over the kitchen, dining room, family room, living room, and foyer. Barbara and Mike gave our girls a tour of the sheep farm and let them meet their dog. They were also responsive quick to take action whenever we had issues (like tripping a circuit breaker and running out of propane). For an additional charge of $75, they warmed up the pool for me twice because I am not a fan of water temps in the low 80s. The location is beautiful and secluded, but you can get to Shenandoah hiking trails in 20-30 minutes or Walmart/Safeway in 15 minutes. We loved our time here and would definitely stay at Peacefield again.

We had the absolute best time staying here. We had two families staying together, 10 total. With more than enough space! The location was perfect. The space was clean and cozy. We had the best time and made some amazing memories with our friends. Also we slept at night on the third floor with a window opened and it was so quiet outside! Thank you for opening your home to us!

We stayed here for a bachelorette weekend and had a great time. The house was even bigger and cozier than I anticipated and the views were gorgeous. We loved being on the same property as Cardinal Point Winery and walked down to do a tasting/enjoy some bottles. The kitchen was stocked with all the tools we could have needed and the pool area was great!

Our family of four needed a quiet get away, and we enjoyed the beautiful days and evenings, inside and on the deck! Hikes nearby, spa nearby, restaurants, grocery, gas also nearby. Great resort year round! Lots of activities if you want them, and lots of peaceful nature if you want. Great!

Great stay! Perfect location and space was great. A tad smaller than what it looked like in the photos, but overall, great! The kitchen did not have any pantry space, but we made do with a shelf above the microwave and bins on top of the fridge. A day prior to check-in, I received an email stating the pool in the complex was closed for repairs. A bit disappointed at first, but it ended up working out really well. We had access to the SPA indoor and outdoor pools and the outdoors ended up being too cold to swim in. The indoor pool was no problem at all and they were very accommodating with lettings us have access throughout our stay. We would stay here again for sure!

Joes property was absolutely beautiful! The views are amazing from the cozy hot tub on the back porch. Everything was super clean and the beds were super comfortable! This airbnb would be great for a family stay or a friends getaway. It was everything we needed and more! Joe was quickly responsive when i had questions. This air bnb is stocked with EVERYTHING you may need. Beautiful spot, 10/10!

A wonderful property nestled in the Wintergreen Resort. While not part of the resort, the amenities and surrounding Breweries offered plenty to do while not relaxing in the hot tub or on the private deck. Beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of space for our family to spread out. Access to WiFi and movie channels were convenient and supplemented the secluded feel for a well balanced vacation. Highly recommend this rental for families and groups looking to get away for a relaxing and enjoyable time in the mountains. Bring your cameras and charge your phones to take pictures of the breathtaking views at and around the house!

The house is small but efficient! Highlights include lots is extra linens, well stocked bathrooms, and front and back porches. The location allows street parking and an easy walk to the farmers market, the outdoor mall, and ArtPark.

The house is in a beautiful setting surrounded by mountains with peaceful views from the front porch that include a field of lavender and a stream. A forested trail network can be accessed at the far end of the lavender field--so bring your hiking shoes. The house is stunning with clean lines, "european" design and decor that includes high-end appliances and fixtures. Francesca is the ultimate host-very friendly and helpful. She provided all the information and details on the house that you would need for an easy check-in, stay, and check-out. From my initial conversations with her when I booked the house to helpful messages just before and during our stay, I felt like I was staying at the house of an old friend. We look forward to staying at Orso Blu on a future trip!

This was our second stay here! It’s great for a family of 6! The location is convenient and house is stocked with plenty of extra towels and bedding. Very happy and hope to visit again! Thanks!

Thanks for the amazing stay at your house! We loved how central it was to both the UVA grounds, the corner and downtown. It worked well for my family, the guides and welcome gifts that you provided were much appreciated and you were very responsive when we had an issue with the key pad on the door. On the downside, the bathroom (there is only one) and the basement are dated and could use some upgrades. Overall, a wonderful and cozy house in a perfect location for our trip and a exceptional host!

We had a such a wonderful time! Everything we needed was there and more: plenty of coffee, granola bars for the hikes, coal for the grill. We felt right at home. Thank you for this wonderful place!

Loved my stay overall — getting there the first time was a little bit of a challenge since we came in at night. Instructions to get there was very clear however the road signs were not as clear (at least at night). Property is beautiful and the view is fantastic! Would come back again!

This home and hosts are both rare gems, from the ease of checking in to the homes beautiful ambiance, its makes a great place to get away and enjoy nature. We would love to come back and explore more of the trails and wineries.

Great house with lots of kid friendly aspects - baby gates, crib and bunk bed. Open floor plan, great kitchen, easy parking and walkable to the downtown mall.

We had a great stay! We were there for 17 days while moving and it felt like a home to us. There were tons of amenities from toiletries to snacks and extra linens were easily accessible. It's a compact home, but a lot of thought was put into organizing it and so we had plenty of storage space for our things. I loved the greenness all around, from the lovely lawn in the backyard to the various houseplants throughout, making it feel like a well-cared-for space. Gregory was easy to contact and prompt with his replies. A really pleasant host!

We absolutely LOVED our time at this beautiful farmhouse! Everything about the place is great - it’s comfortable, inviting, and beautifully furnished and decorated. There is such a warm feel to every room, and the grounds and surrounding area are just gorgeous. We flew in from out of state for UVA graduation and arrived after midnight. The host was super accommodating of our late night arrival and made everything so easy for us. She sent all the local info we’d need before our trip. We loved the fun general store just up the road and stopped there for drinks and snacks every day. They have it all from boiled peanuts and fudge to burgers and wine. We also had a great dinner at Dr. Ho’s, the recommended nearby restaurant. I can’t say enough good things about this house and host. Special cheers for the perfect beds/linens - heavenly! Also the sun room - phenomenal space! We spent so much time in there. And that kitchen floor - I want it! We definitely want to come stay again. Thank you!

Lovely place, very clean, stylishly decorated. It is roomy and has a fantastic view. Nice outdoor sitting areas. It is secluded. The only problem my family and I ran into was knowing what driveway to turn in. We failed to see a sign that displayed a house number at the end of the driveway. Other than that the house and our stay was outstanding.

For a peaceful and tranquil experience, this house in Charlottesville is highly recommended. The house was immaculately clean, has a beautiful kitchen, and the outdoor amenities, including the fire pit, hot tub, and pond with fountain, provided an ideal setting to unwind after a long day exploring the wineries. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to CVille.

The photos don’t do it justice - the views were immaculate, the location was excellent, and the home was a piece of serenity in Afton. Wendy was a wonderful host, very responsive, and kind. Would rent this again in a heartbeat.

The house was perfect for two couples and Charlie, a 5 month old puppy. The home was well suited for Charlie with a pet area, crate, dog beds, and even toys! Sometimes pet friendly places can be smelly and worn, but Jerry’s place was spotless and fresh. The back yard was fenced in and made for a great play area. We enjoyed peaceful nights of sleep and hanging out at the dining table playing games - no need to bring your own as there were lots to choose from! We chose the house because of the convenient proximity to Keswick Hall which is less than ten minutes away. We also made the 20 minute drive to Charlottesville for dinner which was not a difficult drive. It was a great visit overall and a perfect getaway place!

This is me and my bf 2nd time booking one of sheilas cottages and we will do it over and over again, her response time is unmatched and always wants us to be satisfied with our stay and i really appreciate everything she does for us. i will always come back to her whenever im in this area, BEST HOST EVER
