Family-friendly holiday rentals in Charlotte

Shari is an absolute gem! She left. personal note for us (we were there under stressful circumstances) Her place is amazing. The house was not as clean as it could have been, but thst was NOT her fault! The rental agency was very responsive. Ideal layout and comfy furniture! Easy for my 80/90 year old parents to navigate. Would definitely stay again!

We have not used AirBnB many times, but this one stands out as the best experience yet! What a lovely, clean, tidy, quaint, attractive, simple, elegant, and comfortable lakeside property this is. We enjoyed cooking meals, grilling, soaking in the hot tub, sunset cocktails on the dock. Planning to return in the future for another stay!

I only have good things to say about this place! I worked with Margo (the co-host) on having our engagement photoshoot and she was very friendly and nice about the whole thing! Unfortunately, my fiancé and I weren't able to sleep overnight, however, we loved the place so much that we are so so excited to come back and fully enjoy every ounce of relaxation that this place offers! The hosts were so thoughtful that they even left 4 dog bowls for our 4 dogs SHOULD we have decided to bring them :) we ended up not bringing any, but the thoughtful touch & ease of working with them about the pets and shoot was one of the nicest and easiest I've experienced yet. One small heads up about the eco shared bathroom! It didn't bother us at all, but it seems to literally be a hole deeeep down in the ground with ground limestone (I think) powder to pour into it to cover after yourself. Honestly, I prefer that over any portopotty ever lol. It was SUPER clean. No complaints! Just different:) very eco:)

The house is amazing. Extremely well equipped. Amazing decks, docks etc. Great gas grill. Amazing lower level with bar and game room. All three bathrooms and showers are really nice, including outdoor shower. 😀 All of the wall hangings and niknacs are very nice and make it feel like a real home and not just a rental. I could go on and on but I only have so much space. Thanks for sharing your fabulous home. It made our sons wedding week very special!

Great place to stay, backyard is a lovely oasis. Would definitely stay again!

The house was in a wonderful, more established neighborhood. It was close to the venue we were in town to attend. Even though the pool and hot tub were older, they were in good shape and we really enjoyed them. The kitchen was totally updated and very easy to maneuver. The bedrooms were nice, but the bathrooms were older and could use some updating, especially the one in the master bedroom. The checkout instructions could be updated - it referred to baskets in bedroom closets for used linens, towels, etc., but weren't there. The garbage was to be taken outside and put in a receptacle, but here wasn't one. There was a garbage receptacle in the garage. All in all, I think this would be a great place for anyone looking for a place to stay in Charlotte.

A group of my friends and I stayed here for a weekend. I am from the area originally and the location cannot be beat. It a gorgeous lakefront property and we rented a boat/captain for dinner on Friday to take us down the river to a waterfront restaurant. We heated the pool but ended up using the hot tub instead. The furnishings and house itself are not new or “modern” but it looked exactly as described/and in the photos, and the house is even bigger overall. For the price, this was a great deal. We spent our time hanging out in the kitchen which had enormous windows looking outside, and on the deck, and it was super comfortable for all 11 of us there. Robert was incredibly communicative and always available to answer questions. We wished we could move in! I’d definitely stay there again. Great for large groups.

We enjoyed our stay. It’s very private and relaxing. Host was responsive. House was truly amazing. Great view!

Kathrine was amazing! There was a slight hiccup when checking in, which was not her fault, and she responded quickly and handled the issue immediately. The surroundings were peaceful and we loved staying there.

We had a very enjoyable stay. Although we did have not the opportunity to use the full services of the rental available to us since we were away most of the time at the NASCAR races, we still were glad that we rented this place. Clean, well supplied and the area is nice. Also, close to the airport and close to the Charlotte track. What more can you ask?

Terrific stay with just about everything you could possibly need including all lake/outdoor/fire pit/bbq/picnic accessories, plenty of new looking nice beach towels, throw blankets, sunscreen, insect repellent, even a very thoughtful s’more’s kit loved by the kids! Everything is clean, neat, tidy and labeled. The bed linens appeared new and beautiful and felt very fresh. The inside space is terrific and the outdoor space is spectacular. Lowes Foods nearby so very convenient. Coffee pods for the Keurig and many kitchen accessories are available, even first aid kit and various toiletries & supplies- very convenient! Diane is an extremely thoughtful host and very proactive. Everything you might need is easily within reach including wifi, games & puzzles and a smart tv with all the apps for the kiddos - just bring your favorite beachy/loungey clothes and a book to read on the lovely pier and you’re all set!

We rented this first floor condo unit for two weeks to be near our son and his family after the birth of their baby. It was perfectly located. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware. It was clean and comfortable. The pool is a quick walk away and quite nice. There are close restaurants and stores. Lake Norman is a very short drive away, and there are lovely greenways easily accessible for walks. There is some noise from people walking upstairs at times, but it’s not excessive and to be expected in a first floor unit. It made a comfortable and affordable “home away from home” during our stay.

My family and I loved our stay at Erin's place. The house was nice and had a big fenced in backyard which was great for our dog. Erin was very responsive and gave clear instructions for check-in and check-out. The area is great and just a few minutes down the street from downtown Matthews. I highly recommend Erin's home to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area!

Very private, safe, and quiet. Could barely hear a thunderstorm which was great as our dog is scared. Rachel's communication is on point. She was very responsive and very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

I booked this home so my husband and I could visit our family for the holidays who live about 30 mins away. It was able to accommodate us perfectly. I also have a baby who was able to have an entire nursery to herself which was such a blessing as we wanted her to be comfortable and unaffected. Even though the owners live at the property, the home was absolutely spotless and we felt right at home. They even had a Christmas tree up that we were so excited to gather around on Christmas morning. Very grateful to have found this listing!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay! The unit had anything you could possibly need. Was great not having to run to the store to get this or that as they already had everything available. Very clean!

Absolutely loved our stay here, we were in Charlotte for a concert at the BOA and it was a quick 9 minute drive to and from! The place is just as listed and everything was very clean and the host was very responsive!
