Lake house holiday rentals in Charleston Lake

Everyone on the Island knows Finbar! The place was great. Clean, neat, and exactly as described. There is some privacy, and the lake, being Lake Ontario, is hit or miss in calmness; one day it might be super windy and wavy, and the next it could be super calm and placid. The island itself is beautiful. Peaceful and slow paced. There is limited stuff to do on thebl island, but with a couple of beaches and a clear sky, what else matter? 10/10 would stay again.

This was our second time staying at Steve’s place and we loved it ! He has everything ready - a big water jug, bug spray, fire pit (bring your own wood!) paddle boat and kayaks, and so much more. He even wrote us a little note which was so sweet. He responded very quickly with any questions we had. The lake is lovely for swimming and there is very good AC in the cottage if needed (we stayed during a record high heat wave so it was definitely appreciated) The space itself is very charming and cozy. The dock has lots of seating and a mini fridge so you can hang there for hours if you want! There’s a great bbq and deck for outdoor dinners. We will definitely be staying here again! Love it so much!

This was my second time coming to Sarah’s cottage, came for new years and had to come back to check it out in a different season and it did not disappoint! The location is great with lots to do (winery up the hill has amazing pizza) cute shops down the street and site seeing. The cottage is cozy and you feel right at home, even on a rainy day. Hot tub is great and it’s Clean and inviting. Sarah is a great host and was always responsive! Can’t recommend enough!

Best kept secret in the lake of the isles. Love this place and wish it was mine. but I have to share with the rest of you. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Tasha's home was the perfect weekend get away for me and my friends to celebrate my birthday. the home was spacious enough to host 8 adult guests. the bedrooms were spacious and having 4 bathrooms was definitely a bonus. we spent a lot of our time outside by the fire on the gorgeous waterfront and we also went for a walk and saw lots of wildlife like deer, chipmunks and a variety of birds. my friends and i said we would definitely book again!

Great location on the water. Loved sitting by the outdoor firepit and enjoying the peaceful evenings. Walkable to the Waupoos winery, and a few other local places. Basement was a bit chilly with the drop in temperature - had to crank up the thermostat, ended up sleeping upstairs. Overall an enjoyable experience and would recommend.

I don't even know where to start! This is incredible! The house is really clean! Cozy! Light! Warm! Friends work in construction business and they checked the house with a special black light!Everything is perfectly clean! This is the house i would like to rent in the future! This was the perfect addition to my wedding weekend! Julie made it extra special with a welcome sign and bottle of champagne to great my guests and I! The place is absolutely stunning, so warm, cozy and just what we needed for a wedding stay with the bridal party. It surpassed my expectations and Julie and her partner were wonderful - we even had a tour and learned some history on the place. Can’t wait to come back !

We had a great time at this cottage. Very private with all the amenities you could ask for. It’s a 10 outta 10! I think the only thing that we would suggest is having a picnic table in the yard which would take it from a 10 to 11! Thanks again to our wonderful hosts. This is truly an amazing location.

Beautiful space and great location for our crew that was working in Kemptville. Easy to find and get back and forth. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a place in the area.

I can’t express how amazing this place was. There were signs made up all around the house to answer any questions you may have. I reached out to our hosts mid stay and got a response immediately. They even reached out to give us a heads up about possible power outages (we did not lose power). But I truly appreciated them reaching out as we were out at a wedding.

Location, location!This is a beautiful location, on the St lawerence river. We enjoyed watching the boats pass by, bird watching, and smelling the flowers. There are 2 full kitchens with with everything you could need. Lots of space with 2 full living rooms and 3 bedrooms. There are bikes to use and canoe. We loved our stay, and cant wait to come back! Lexi is a great hostess very kind and helpful.

Renfu and Ying are super hosts. To any questions we had, they responded in a heartbeat. We conveniently got to access the property a bit earlier and they were even mailing us a personal item which we unfortunately left behind. We would recommend this spacious and neatly kept home to anyone - the kayaks you can take out while on vacation are a fun addition. Thank you Renfu and Ying :)

Really good host, replies to questions very quickly. Place was clean and spacious. It also has a nice waterfront which looks really nice when the sun is setting.

Charleston Lake holds many memories for my family and to bring my kids to this special place and see them thrive was so great! We had the most wonderful vacation at this cottage and absolutely loved the location. Everything you could need is stocked in the cottage and Tamaran’s communication was 10/10. Very happy with the whole experience!

Perfect place to relax and spend some quality time with extended family. Everything you want in a cottage, situated in a nice bay on a great lake. Deep water off the dock for swimming and some fun kayaks for venturing further out. Super well equipped kitchen. The kids loved the bunkie as their own space to hang out and sleep.

Beautiful location on the lake. We had a wonderful and quiet three nights which is exactly what we were looking for. We were very fortunate as well to be able to book on the same day as our stay. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at this peaceful lakeside retreat. The backyard opening directly onto the lake was the highlight, and we loved using the kayaks, stand-up paddleboard, BBQ, and firepit. The home was clean, cozy, and well-equipped. While one toilet clogged and the other lacked a latch, it was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise excellent experience. Big thanks to our hosts. We recommend this place for anyone looking to relax by the water!

I have stayed in air bnb’s around the world, and this is the best one by far. The property and the home far exceeded expectations and photos. There was everything we could need, including a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor space, bathrooms, and more. The showers had high-end products, and the host provided wine. We were frequently communicated with for local recommendations. When something came up at the home, our hosts responded right away and had someone out to fix it within an hour or two. The pool and deck are more spacious than advertised and the pool was an extremely comfortable temperature. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone and hope I can return in the future.
