Our two cabins Dogwood and Holly are located on a quiet, wooded 10 acre retreat that is 8 miles from Athens. Our special feature is a spring fed creek that flows year round and has it's own micro climate that is perfect for native ferns, mixed hardwood forest and dogwoods. We have provided a nature trail for bird watching and exercise. Recently we designed and constructed a beautiful pond with three waterfalls and a deck overhanging the water with chairs for enjoying our private paradise.

Our group had a great stay. There was plenty of room for the 14 people that stayed at the house. The beds were extremely comfortable and the train noise was barely noticeable when inside the building. I would definitely recommend this place if you just want to hang out and play a lot of pickleball!!

Cindi was a wonderful host! We enjoyed our stay to the max. John also deserves 5 stars as he was just as great! There is so much space for our family. Big beautiful home. Enjoyed a wonderful Father’s Day weekend just hanging out and fishing at Palestine Lake. I loved it was secluded and the views were astonishing. Kevin is a superior host with a beautiful home. The room was exactly as pictured and described, even including a mini keurig, mini fridge, microwave, and a TV. Bed was super comfy and the AC was just right. He was extremely accommodating, friendly, and considerate. Wifi is good. It was about a 20 minute walk to downtown. Quiet street besides cars passing occasionally. The home is absolutely beautiful. Loved the fixtures and the bathroom. Clean, fully packed with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Will be on my list if I ever need to stay in Tyler this way again. Thanks, Kevin!

Can't say enough good things about James & Lauren and the incredible home they have! The attention to detail, from the well-stocked kitchen & every bathroom to everything being labeled for easy identification and ease of being found well, it's what dreams are made of when you put your faith into choosing a home on the BNB site. So many BNB's can come up short by posting pictures that are outdated or that just miss the mark in how a home is described but not this gem! We felt right at home from the minute we walked in the door and could not have been more pleased. This is truly is a place we would visit again! The response time for every question we had was handled with care and an immediate response. The room layout is great for families. True comforts of home, large tv's in every room, phone chargers on every night table, a linen closet full of beach towels for outside lake activities & enjoying the hot tub. You will LOVE your stay here, I promise you! Thank you, James & Lauren!
