Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Chamula

We definitely enjoyed our stay here. The house oozes with character. It is certainly one of the more unique properties we have stayed in. The good: the rooftop deck, plenty of potable water, comfortable beds, interesting house with nice artwork and furniture. The meh: this house is like an escape room. Without instructions we would never be able to access it or any of the rooms. There are at least 8 or 9 different keys that open different doors around the house. It was very confusing at first and since we arrived at 2am we couldn’t find one of the keys and had to climb out a window to access the second bedroom. We found the key the next morning - it’s all part of the fun of travelling! Also, the bedrooms are on the lower level and although they are comfortable, they get quite humid. The showers are hot, but the temperature goes in and out. Lastly, the house is a 20 minute walk to Plaza de la Paz. We often walked there and took a taxi back for either 50 or 60 pesos. The bad: nothing!

La casa súper bonita, muy colonial y bastantes cuartos, lo mejor es que como es una casa para muchas personas hay suficientes baños para todos, la sala bastante grande y los jardines bellos bellos

La casa del señor Armando es muy bonita y acogedora, todo estaba impecable y cuido cada detalle para que nuestra estancia fuera muy agradable!! El señor Armando nos permitió llegar unas horas más temprano y nos recomendó lugares para comer!! Siempre muy atento y amable, esperamos regresar pronto !!

No cabe duda que excelente ubicación y todos los servicios hicieron que nos sintieramos como en nuestro hogar,(cerca están algunos locales de comida y un mercadito) si volvemos a viajar,no duraríamos en quedarnos de nuevo en ese bello lugar,en el cual disfrutamos cocinar en familia y hasta asar cortes, gracias Rober por hacernos la estadía más fácil y ser buen anfitrión,más bendiciones (no duden en reservar con el)

Es un espacio muy agradable. Disfruté mucho mi estancia. Las camas son muy cómodas y amplias. El espacio es muy agradable y bonito para descansar. Tiene una terraza increíble. Volvería a hospedarme aquí

Ubicación privilegiada céntrica

It was 19 people including kids. Fit all of us comfortably. I would recommend only one person to shower at a time otherwise there won’t be enough water pressure and warm water for everyone. It was easy to get places from where we were. Could have probably also walked but it would have been about 1+ miles to get to the restaurants and shops. Enjoyed my stay overall

Un lugar súper céntrico! A solo un par de cuadras de los sitios nocturnos, lo que me pareció muy cómodo ya que rápido estaba de regreso al salir de noche. Una calle muy tranquila con gran variedad de establecimientos útiles alrededor.

Le logement proposé par Rolando est très propre et bien situé à proximité du centre. Le rapport qualité prix est top. Attention le chien des voisins et les oiseaux peuvent être bruyants, mais pas la faute du propriétaire ! Je recommande ce logement pour ceux voulant visiter Oaxaca!

Extremadamente limpio y bien ubicado, gama fue atento a nuestra llegada, todo muy bien.

We stayed here for two months, April and May. The best thing about this apartment is the beautiful view of San Cristobal and the surrounding mountains from the terrace. The wonderful host, Luis, who lives on the premises, was educated and well-traveled, and we enjoyed talking with him about the different places we had both been in the world. He was also always immediately responsive to any issues we might have. We have lived all over the world since leaving the US 20 months ago, and the kitchen was quite large and, hands down, the best we have had anywhere. Also, we thought the beds were very comfortable. And the property also has its own washer and dryer. The house is divided into several Airbnb rentals. It is pretty walkable to El Centro and the Guadalupe Walking Street—about a 15 to 20-minute walk. In addition, there are restaurants, shops, a pharmacy and an OXXO close by. The park is about a half-block away, and it is easy and inexpensive to get a taxi from there to anywhere in San Cristobal. The downside would be the same as everywhere in Mexico that we have been—noise, although the internet (usually a problem) was actually pretty good here, and compared to other places we have been in Mexico, we really couldn’t complain much. The street has a fair amount of traffic, but we didn’t hear a lot of dogs barking, which is usually a big problem for us in Mexico; however, we did hear firecrackers—sometimes because of people celebrating a particular holiday. We never felt unsafe, especially walking at night, but we always stayed on the main streets in the main areas.

Diego is an exceptionally proactive host who made us feel right at home and gave us many recommendations. Him and his wife have created a very special Airbnb experience and pristine home perched just above the town surrounded by the songs of birds. We loved enjoying peaceful privacy and also having a chance to get to know the hosts. It was inspiring to see this example of a bold dream realized in this Airbnb that the hosts built with love.

¡Nos encantó nuestra estancia en el departamento de Larissa! La ubicación es perfecta, pudimos llegar caminando a todos los lugares que queríamos visitar en San Cristóbal de las Casas. Larissa fue súper amable y atenta desde el principio, siempre respondió rapidísimo los mensajes, lo cual hizo todo aún más fácil. El depa estaba muy lindo y limpio, tal como se ve en las fotos. Nos sentimos súper cómodos. Además, como tip extra: ¡no se pierdan los esquites que venden justo abajo del depa, están deliciosos! Nos fuimos felices y sin duda volveríamos a hospedarnos aquí. ¡Súper recomendado!

Chris surprised me with the place. I thought it was small, and had no expectations. Flowers and plants all around, a talkative and full of generosity of Chris that shared the sunset, a beer and life experience, made me feel safe, comfortable and happy. He will do some changes to the place and I’m sure it will be lovely. I love the neighborhood!! I fully recommend it, will visit it again, and will love to see Chris again. Great place, 100% recommended. Beautiful apartment with garden views and city views, great private patio area too. Very clean, quiet, private, a lot of sunlight. Cleaning service includes weekly sheets, towels and etc. changing, Also optional room cleaning. WiFi is super good for working remote. Well furnitured kitchen and spacious. Lots of hot water and water pressure. No dog barking, no street noise. We even got welcome gifts! Location is awesome. Convenient surroundings, bakery, frutas y veduras, cheese, tiendas, barbershop, agua station, and laundry, all in the same street or around the corner or just one block away. Around 5 min. Walk from ADO bus station, 8 min. Walk to the center, 12 min. walk to a mountain view and city view church, 15 min. walk to the SEDEM (a huge sport complex). Ana is responsive and helpful. We definitely return.

Mi estancia estuvo muy agradable, el departamento estaba muy agradable e ideal para descansar. Elizabeth estuvo al pendiente todo el tiempo y fue muy amable con nosotros. Sin duda volveremos con mi familia.
