What needs to be said about staying in a chateau?! Incredible experience for our family, very cool to be able to stay somewhere people come to tour. We really liked it and found it quite comfortable. The suite was very large - like an entire home. The internet and cell reception were intermittent, so touching base back home or accomplishing any work was difficult/impossible. But the experience is something I can certainly recommend!

Dream weekend! We had a quiet weekend, relaxing enjoying the very pleasant accommodation, with lots of privacy, a small terrace perfect for breakfast, lunch and aperitif overlooking the perfectly maintained park. We took advantage of the surrounding woods, nature walks but Isabelle had also provided us with a lot of information for cultural walks, or castles and other wonders to see in the area! Apart from some difficulties in finding the house, our GPS made us turn around the house through walking paths so not passable with a car, we had a very pleasant weekend and our host Isabelle welcomed us very warmly!

The stay was brief (3 nights) but it will remain etched in our memories... Nice warm and smiling welcome, wise advice, well-appointed, charming, functional and ideally located accommodation. We recommend this place! You can go there without so much as a second thought, with confidence, and also with your eyes open, to admire this beautiful home and its peaceful environment.

My siblings and I held a family reunion at Chateau de Villejovet for 43 people. Our host, Mr Bidault, prepared a fabulous luncheon, complete with outdoor tent, servers, and an excellent lunch. The chateau was perfect for this venue and was such a relaxing place for all our relatives. I would highly recommend this place for anyone with a large group who needs a lovely place to stay or organize a large get together. Thank you for helping to make our visit so memorable.

Amazing place to stay. The studio we stayed in was awesome. Fresh and clean with everything we needed. The grounds were amazing and we just loved the peaceful private spaces. Kate and Paul were the best hosts and they were always able to help no matter what. The chateau is gorgeous and we loved our time there

Amazing location and beautiful surroundings! The house was spotless, super spacious, and full of furniture. We absolutely loved the fireplace: it made for the perfect cozy hangouts with friends. Alain and Clémentine were awesome co-hosts, super friendly and gave us great tips for hidden gem restaurants. Super easy to get to, and the perfect base for exploring all the nearby château!

Wonderful stay in a story book setting.

We had a great sunny weekend with friends at La Guimandière. We were able to enjoy the garden, the barbecue, the tennis, the petanque, this beautiful castle and the catering services for a moment in the countryside and in peace. We had a great time at Château des Hommes. The environment is very beautiful and the hosts are very kind. Albine and her whole family do everything to ensure you have a wonderful stay. Breakfast is hearty and the bedding is very good. We loved it and will be back with pleasure! 🥰

We tried to come up with a bad review so we could keep the place our little secret... but we just really loved our stay with Keith and Anita. We went to stay at this lovely and charming chateau for a week and it was all that we hoped for. It is a great place to relax and unwind. We felt very welcome with such friendly hosts, who were always there to give tips for local restaurants, etc. We would love to come back there one day. Tip: we could recommend their homemade afternoon tea.

Stunning building in a beautiful gardens and a delightful, peaceful village. Valérie could not have been more helpful. It’s hard to describe how beautiful the grounds were. The photos don’t do it justice. And my kids loved the pool table in what has to be the coolest attic conversion in the Loire valley.

Absolutely stunning location and accommodation! Loved every minute of our stay and felt totally spoilt being able to use the pool and relax in the gardens whenever we wanted. Extremely friendly hosts, nothing was too much trouble. An excellent place to unwind. Highly recommended, we will be back!

5 star peaceful french countryside retreat! I stayed with my husband for a week in June 2025. We wanted a relaxing break in the French countryside which the l’orangerie achieved completely. The chateau and its surroundings are stunning and traditionally French. The space itself is exactly as the pictures with everything you need to self cater. Jeanette and Zeus were the perfect hosts and made us feel at home and were always helpful and responsive. It is very apparent that Jeanette and Zeus put a lot of thought and care into the guest experience and displaying this beautiful property at its best. Everything was spotlessly clean also. We spent several lovely sunny days by the pool and sitting out in the garden next to the property. The chateau is also attached to a small farm with pigs, ducks, geese and chickens and we enjoyed in particular feeding the pigs everyday! Despite that, it’s also very quiet and peaceful. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and recommend it fully

When I reached out to Albine, to give her an ETA, she messaged back soon. She was very welcoming, with clear instructions for entering the room and breakfast. Our room was a large comfortable space with good light, screened windows to let the clean country air into our room. We kept the windows open the entire stay to hear crickets, birds, thunder and rainstorm. Beautiful countryside estate with castle ruins on the property to explore. We didn't get a chance to use the pool area, but Albine had placed "pool towels" in our room, just in case. As a guest, you need to know, you are really in the country. The closest town that we frequented was Langeais and Villandry, with each having at least one chateau to visit and plenty of restaurants, chocolate shops, bakeries, and casual places to get a drink and a french style sandwich. This was a good base to do our daily exploring. Albine had many suggestions and knows the history of the area extremely well. Thank you Albine. Hope to visit soon!
