A perfect place to get away from the city buzz. It's like taking a time machine back 40 years. The simplicity of living close to nature with the family around and no deadline to chase. Sad we could not stay forever but will be back soon.

Danie and Narina are lovely guests, very easy to communicate with, very nice and accomodating. Their place is something special, in the middle of « nowhere », horizon as far as the eye can see, you can see the sunset and the moon rising at the same time, and their place is very well equipped ! The road to arrive is quite long and the wind can wake you up while you sleep but that’s part of the trip ! We recommend

Karin’s cottage is a gem, as is Fraserburg. We took the road less travelled on new years day, and arrived without supplies at our overnight stop, as all shops along our route was closed. Karin came to the rescue with firewood, fresh veg from their patch and a fancy bottle of wine! The house was lovely and we had the a great nights rest before hitting the road again. Hospitality like this isn’t found under every rock.

What an incredible stay! This little farmhouse in Prince Albert was everything we could have hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning scenery and peaceful surroundings. The house itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, making our stay feel truly special. Waking up to breathtaking views, enjoying the tranquility of the countryside, and unwinding in such a charming and well-kept space was just perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be booking again. Highly recommended!

Perfect and beautiful spot for a stay over on route. The cottage is spotless clean and has welcoming sherry and everything you need to settle in. Both rooms are tastefully decorated with large en-suite bathrooms.

A beautiful massive house with all needed to stay warm in the coldest place in SA. We had an unplanned detour on the bikes and the host were concerned and still accepted us checking in only after 10pm with a smile.

I personally was very happy with the cottage. Lots of outdoors, spacious unfortunately we only spent only one night there so we could not fully appreciate the house. It s quiet and well decorated. Jan met us and made a few suggestions to what to do and where to eat. Highly recommend the place

This property truly surpasses the photos. Beautifully decorated with a wide selection of art, books, crockery, fabrics, glassware , etc. We especially loved the main bedroom, which feels like a lush greenhouse, full of greenery. Every corner of the property is thoughtfully decorated and impeccably maintained. We highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates design and nature.

The property is beautifully restored and stylishly decorated, offering a perfect blend of charm and comfort. The swimming pool and air conditioning in both rooms were exceptional, providing much-needed relief from the Karoo heat. The lush green grass and inviting braai area added to the overall appeal. The kitchen, though basic, was well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The location is ideal, within walking distance of the hotel and nearby restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning. The adorable dogs were a delightful bonus!

One word to describe this place and home, ZEN! Beautiful home with a welcoming feel. Relaxing atmosphere at the pool and walking the labyrinth was so calming for the mind! We loved our stay, and Ampie our host was really wonderful, welcoming and accommodating. We enjoyed the restaurant “De Krans” close by. Highly recommend!

This is a most peaceful and private farm cottage at the end of a very private road in a beautiful valley near Graaff-Reinet. You are in a biosphere farming environment where considerable effort is made at preserving the natural flora and fauna of the area. There is a lovely track from the farm cottage up onto the escarpment with never ending view’s across the Camdeboo. We had a most relaxing and peaceful stay there and would love to be there for longer next time. Thank you Tanya for making that special part of the world available for guests to experience.

What a peaceful stay! We enjoyed its quiet location, surrounded by the beauty of nature, blessed with gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. The little touches like welcome port, homemade bread, rusks and filter coffee was so thoughtful of our host and made us feel right at home. This stay is ideal if you want to get away from the hustle of a busy town but still have access to wifi. Thank you for a wonderful and restful stay!

A lovely home and garden. Very welcoming and comfortable! We enjoyed the restaurants and beautiful environment. Sally was such a nice host! She helped us when I needed some medical attention. As did the people in Prince Albert. What a nice community!

Stayed here with my dog en route from Joburg to Cape Town. The spot was perfect for what we needed - big airy rooms with stone floor etc (very pet friendly), space for us to relax outside and walk around, comfy bed etc. Signal was spotty and there is no wifi/tv etc., but the farm/Karoo vibe didn't make me miss that at all. Not much close by so either bring stuff to braai, or pick up some takeaways before you get there. There is some lovely stuff at the padstal, but it's not really easy dinner food apart from pies etc., so its great for biltong, jams, koeksisters etc., but keep this in mind for dinner. I will 100% stay here again, as its great value, clean, airy and big rooms, and was a nice break from the rush.

Nita's accommodation is an absolute gem! Nestled in the Karoo, in a private location, the space offers tranquility and also adventure. The house is beautifully decorated with no small detail being missed! The spot is also really great for doggos. The property is fenced, so your dog can wonder safely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back for another visit! it

The scenery was breath taking on the way to the farm. The accommodation was country chic...expertly decorated that makes you feel that this is home, this is where you can relax and recharge. Andrew was an excellent help and quickly answered my myriad of questions. I unfortunately got sick on the way to Andrew and Linda's place so I didnt get to take a walk in the veld but I did enjoy Linda's beautiful garden. I will have to make their place our next stop over place when we go to Cape Town again so that I get to explore their farm.

best place for family holidays

Thank you Helena and Kobus for letting me spend a few nights in your farm cabin. The bread that you gave me and food prepared by Denise was really delicious. Simple farm living and yet amazing stargazing experience at night.

This place is very basic but clean. Long bumpy dirt road to get there but that is a worth while price to pay for the remoteness

a very cute house with a beautiful garden, away from the centre of town. Sue was very friendly and answered any question we had. The kitchen is fully equipped, which is always great.
