Cottage holiday rentals in Castlewellan

We are just back from a lovely, relaxing few days away at the cottage and we are already wanting to go back! Beautiful location, so peaceful and the cottage itself was just out of this world and of course not forgetting the amazing hot tub! We can’t wait to plan our next stay soon at the cottage. We even got to bring along our dogs who had so much fun. Big thank you to Glenn who made sure everything was perfect for our stay and was always there if we needed anything. We have made memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you again Killeavy cottage 😃

Beautiful house! Every bit as good as it looks to be in the photos. Looking out through the main window in the lounge area we were able to watch the ships and boats sail past on the sea and looking through the other window at the back of the house we were able to watch the clouds and rain storm folding over the mountains. Then this morning while enjoying our coffee we to watched the rabits play in the field behind us. Such a magical place and so peaceful. We had such a lovely time and hope to be back soon. We were delighted by our time in Tosses Cottage. It was a beautiful place to stay in the glorious rolling hills and countryside. The hot tub was an extra special treat. Colleen was very responsive and helpful in all communications and everything was as she said it would be.

The “Nest” Cottage with hot tub was the ideal location and setting for a trip with friends. It was perfect, we can’t recommend it enough. Jackie,the host was incredible to deal with, always so quick to respond and extremely helpful. She couldn’t do enough for us and we were very grateful 😀 Already planning a trip back.

An excellent cottage and location for a family get-away. The cottage has a wonderful view and all of the comforts necessary for a restful break. For us, the hot-tub really made the place stand out.

This is simply a delightful place to stay: peaceful, beautiful and with a rare spiritual dimension in that so much of Mike's personality, passions and enthusiasms infuse everything within and without. We felt totally at home and left feeling refreshed and restored in a way seldom experienced before. Indeed, we felt we were departing from a friend.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage. The hot tub was amazing and the surrounding countryside was gorgeous- special shoutout to the donkeys! Steph & Michael were wonderful hosts and super helpful. We had lovely trips to Tollymore Forest Park & Carlingford which were both easy to reach. All in all very highly recommended :)

The most relaxing stay we have had. Hidden away from the hustle of the town, this was just bliss for a peaceful getaway

It was a very nice place with a great central location for travelling to various points of interest, making our trip much more enjoyable. The cottage was well appointed, with as described facilities, so there were no bathroom queues in the morning! Heating was easy to use, with intuitive controls (there was a fire too, but we were out most of the day, so decided to play it safe). WiFi was great too. We would love to return to this lovely place in the future.

what can I say , such a beautiful bright very clean cottage , Margaret and Gerry where excellent hosts , fresh bread and milk left on arrival , had a good supply of toiletries, and any kitchen utensils we needed where , we had a fabulous night's stay and will be certainly thinking of returning 5 * stay 😊

Adrain's house was very comfortable and we really enjoyed having the cows and sheep outside our windows. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The house was beautiful and exactly how it looked in the pictures. The view is so fabulous, changing with the tides and daylight. Great garden area as well for my doggy. The town itself is very quiet with only a shop and a chip van - which is currently closed on weekends. We were able to pivot and cook a decent meal in the house though instead, then go to a nearby town the next evening for food. Really chilled place to stay as a base for seeing around the rest of the area. And always a bonus when you can bring your four-legged friends 👍🐾

Paula is a genuine host who cares passionately about her cottage and her guests, and is very genuine when dealing with her guests.. Highly highly recommended and we will defs be back....thank you Paula and keep up the good work x

Lovely spot and very clean. We enjoyed a relaxing stay. Great shower and bath and full kitchen. We appreciated the tea, coffee, oil etc to feel at home. We couldn't use the fire as couldn't find any logs. Also ran out of toilet paper and didn't seem to be any spare! We had to buy our own powder for the washing machine which is fine but would have been great to know in advance!

We had a great stay at Jane's place while attending a wedding locally. The location is great, so quiet and restful - and everyone (but especially the crawling baby!) loved the big enclosed garden. The house is really well-equipped and Jane was super-helpful with advice and recommendations, and super-responsive in sorting out the couple of issues/any questions we had. having the beach so close was a real treat and the walk down it to the iconic Cable Bar was so scenic and enjoyable, especially with a pint of Guinness waiting at the other end. Great stay - would recommend.

Lovely cottage with everything thought of for a cosy comfortable stay. The bed was wonderful as was the quietness of the location which was perfect for me. Many thanks to Sally for a home from home stay

This is a very special place to stay in the heart of the Mournes. Great view and very comfy place. Neil was helpful and responsive. Highly recommended

Kathy was a wonderful host very attentive and thoughtful offering tips and things to do locally. Check in / out was seamless. The House is pristine and beautifully decorated perfectly adequate in size for 4 people sharing. The Sauna and outdoor bath / wet area is a lovely bonus feature. We hiked in the Mournes in terrible weather but had the luxury of warming up and getting a sweat on in the sauna before heading into Newcastle for the evening. Overall highly recommend 😇

Just back from a weeks stay at Brambles cottage. What can we say apart from it was fantastic. So very peaceful,beautiful scenery and LOADS of great places to walk from the door step. We brought our dog Boycee and he throughly enjoyed himself also. The garden was 100% secure so we could just relax and let Boycee run around and play freely. We would most definitely love to go back if welcomed. Thank you to Karen and Alistar. Nothing was a problem

Charming & cozy cottage in a great central location. Spotlessly clean.

We were offered the Loft instead of the cottage and we did not regret the exchange. Pristine, all brand new fittings and towels, very cosy. We would definitely return.

This place a gem. The house is cosy and clean and full of character and the surroundings are beautiful. Super close to Castlewellan and Newcastle but remote enough to enjoy the peace of the countryside. Lynda was a great host and we would definitely recommend it for a family getaway. We will be back!

So incredibly beautiful, miss the mountain and sea views from kitchen sink and front of house respectively already!! Wish we were back there, and will try get another weekend booked asap!! Thank you for everything provided, such high spec! And we were even blessed with a NI heatwave to sunbathe!!
