This home is a spacious converted barn with 2 bedrooms, and kitchen/family room, studio, loft and one bathroom. It is set in the woods just a few miles from Lake Superior. Being off the shore of Lake Superior has it's advantages--it is quieter and at night so dark that if it is clear you can reach out and touch the millions of stars in the sky. The grounds are ample with a large covered patio and fire ring. Reservations less than 2 day prior please message us we will do our best to accommodate.

Our remote OFF GRID Hideaway (NO RUNNING WATER) gives visitors an experience of wilderness a few short miles from Two Harbors and the shore of Lake Superior. Limited solar power is supplemented by battery, and propane lights. Furnace and oven/stove are propane. (NO refrigerator) There is a vault privy (no bathroom), a grill, fire pit and indoor wood stove. We supply firewood and water for washing dishes and hands. Hike or snowshoe 20 acres of onsite trails or nearby SHT and state parks.

Chelsea and Joel (and the owner, Mike) were great! We had a wonderful stay and appreciated the local recommendations the hosts offered. Mike was also incredibly helpful upon our arrival. He was happy to share exactly where everything was and what to do if we had any questions. The cabin and outhouse were very clean (and smell-free!), and we encountered no issues whatsoever. I would note, though, like others have, that this space is not necessarily “semi off grid.” The owner lives on the same property and another rented space is located there as well. We appreciated being close to help if the need arose, however. All in all, this cabin was exactly what we were looking for in a quiet space to stay during our hiking trip!

Barbara’s place was exactly what I needed! Secluded and sounded by nature, we saw a cute deer within minutes of arriving. The inside is cozy and makes you feel at home. I will always book here if possible when in the area.

Third Avenue Loft -Overlook Two Harbors & Superior

Joseph went above & beyond to accommodate our last-minute trip. My husband & I agreed that the condo was the most liveable AirBnB we had ever stayed at; it felt like a unit we would rent or purchase. It was spotless, the decor was current, & the furniture & bed were comfortable. Everything we needed & more was clean/new & readily accessible. We enjoyed the Roku/couch set-up; it was nice to have the TV in a common sense spot, & it was easy to log in & catch up on Peacock & then watch the game. We also appreciated that there was room for our things. You can just barely see Lake Superior, & the condo is right in the middle of town for walking access to everything.
