Holiday rentals with a patio in Cardiff

Great little place to stay. We booked the one with the private terrace which was perfect. Location is spot on too, very near town and only 10 minute taxi to the Bay. Annoyingly I didn't have time to use the shower but the bathroom was very tidy. Was quite weird that the door knew my name but also reassuring that we were in the right place. Not sure if I didn't read the info correctly but there is non permit parking that is quite reasonable right outside the property. I'd booked parking elsewhere but didn't need to. On busy days, it might be needed but we stayed on a week day. Definitely better than a hote and would stay there again.

Jolanta and I were only in contact via the messages. She is a likeable landlady and available at any time. Access to the apartment is via a key box - very easy to set 4-digit with number wheels. The apartment is very bright and friendly. It is very quiet at night (residential area). If you like to sleep dark, you have to take sleeping glasses or the like with you for one of the bedrooms, as the street lamp is very bright. It didn't bother me. The other bedroom is inside. If you are good on foot, you can reach the city in 20 minutes and Penarth Pier in a good 30 minutes. Penarth Pier is beautifully situated on Bristol Canal. You can also eat there. Cardiff can also be reached in a quarter of an hour by car. Cardiff Bay (port) offers many pubs and restaurants. You can also go for a walk there. If I go to the area again, I will definitely stay in Jolantas's apartment again.

Great place to stay for a weekend away in Cardiff. Short walk to Mermaid Quay. Really peaceful location. Spacious and very clean, comfy beds. Bonus of a secure parking space. Host was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Would 100% recommend.

Byron and Kate’s place was amazing, such a beautiful space in a great location and so quiet and peaceful. On top of that Byron and Kate may well be the best hosts we’ve ever met. Couldn’t do enough for us, super helpful and had thought of absolutely everything. Couldn’t fault a thing about the property, these experiences are why we use Airbnb instead of hotels. Will definitely be trying to book here again if we are back in Cardiff. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Thanks so much

We spent just one night at Kay’s lovely apartment. She responded quickly to any questions , very clean, comfy bed and lovely decking over a very pretty stream.

We had a great stay at this apartment! The host was extremely accommodating and responsive, making the whole experience smooth from start to finish. The apartment itself was spotless clean, very functional, and surprisingly bright for a basement unit. We especially appreciated the spacious layout, the small backyard, and how well-lit it was throughout. The bed was super comfortable, and I loved the touch-sensitive table lamps—such a nice detail! The Wi-Fi worked perfectly during our entire stay, and we found the welcome pack really helpful, especially the manual for the heater, which came in handy during the night. The apartment is located in a peaceful neighborhood with beautiful houses and tree-lined streets. It’s about a 30-minute walk from the central rail station, which we didn’t mind at all. All in all, a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Highly recommended!

I extended my stay from 2 weeks to 3 without hesitation. I felt at home right away. Perfect for Solo and couple travelers.

The house was beautifully decorated and spacious enough for the five of us to feel comfortable. Communication with Mike was fantastic right from the start, he was incredibly helpful and responsive. While there’s no parking directly outside, as most of the area is permit-only, it wasn’t an issue for us, we easily booked a spot on the next road through Park on My Drive for just £5 a day. We also really enjoyed making use of the lovely garden. Thank you again.

Welcome hamper was also a surprise and great thought from Davina. Davina was also very responsive to messages. Overall property was also squeaky clean not one fault with this property. We had a fantastic week in Cardiff, staying at Michael’s place in Penarth. The house was perfect for our group of six - clean, spacious, stylish, and equipped with everything we needed. It really felt like a home away from home. Penarth is a lovely area with great cafes, restaurants, and a beautiful coastal walk. We especially loved the walk over the Cardiff Bay Barrage Locks. The kitchen was well equipped and with a large wine fridge, which is a godsend with such a large group. Michael, Nadia and Kate were brilliant hosts, quick to respond and full of great local recommendations. We’d absolutely stay again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Had a wonderful stay. Very spacious. Private. Felt right at home. Lovely massive bed in the main bedroom pillows and duvet also comfortable. Didn't use the 2 single beds but also a lovely room. The cottage just felt like it had a lovely atmosphere. You can leave the door open and windows without feeling like you have to have the door shut. Did Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Wookey Hole and Weston-super-Mare. Went to the Langford Inn and the Railway Inn plus in Cheddar had a lovely Indian at Rasoi and Milkshakes at Lion Rock Tea room. Jodie and Angus were helpful and friendly :-) Next time will definitely use the hot tub!

Well kept property. Friendly neighbours. The wood fire was ready set up for use with supplies. Instruction manual on hand. Some basics provided which was a lively touch.

Anne and Mike were really helpful. Good communication and easy to check in.

Absolutely loved this air BnB Gill was extremely helpful and the cottage was brilliant Loads of room Very comfortable with stunning views Enjoyed my visits from Bella the cat too and the horses over the gate I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again highly recommended

The communication from booking to leaving was fantastic. The flat is spotlessly clean. A lot of thought has been put into it too make guest extremely comfortable. It was great sitting on the large veranda area in the evening as the sun went down. By far this is the best Airbnb I have stayed in. We will be booking again and again. It was compact as described, very new and clean. We got great sleep and appreciated being able to park our rental car in the drive.

A great place to stay so quiet it is a good walk into town but a bit of a hill on the way back,but all in all host very attentive definitely would stay again

Claire is very helpful and responsive. The place is in a great location, bus stop just around the corner and so many restaurants around. The place has iron hairdryer towels etc everything that you need. Even portable fans which is helpful in this weather. Would recommend this place !!
