We are on Capitol Hill, a short walk to the US Capitol, Supreme Court, Library of Congress and the National Mall with its iconic memorials, Smithsonian Museums and National Gallery of Art. Half a block away is Eastern Market, an historic indoor food market open 6 days a week. On the weekends it expands with outdoor farm stands and vendors selling crafts and other goods. Within blocks are many restaurants, shops and the Metro. If you need parking, please ask us for a free permit. Thank you!

Heart of Capitol Hill, Walk to everything!

We had a great stay at Maeve’s place. We liked the contemporary decor and the bed was very comfy. Maeve’s communication is timely and we were allowed to checkin early with our suitcases. There is no outside space available. It is walkable to the museums and if you want to go further you can use the underground station blue line, which is a 15 minute walk. Also a D6 bus next to Stanton Park will get you down to the White House. There is a general store around the corner.

The place was clean and quiet, in a nice neighborhood close to Capitol Hill. The kitchen and bathroom weren’t very spacious, but otherwise the place was very clean and comfortable. The host was very responsive and flexible. We really enjoyed our stay.

Charming carriage house studio

Located peacefully at the top of the hill of everything you will want to see while visiting DC be prepared to walk! If you have a teeny car you are set for this location. If not, be prepared to spend another couple hundred dollars to park your car a few blocks away. While nerve wracking, it all worked out. There are plenty of options for bikes, e-bikes & e-scooters. Do some research there too. They can’t go all over. Utilize the metro and/or Uber. The restaurant suggestions were great. Bring your own fan if you can if it’s going to be hot. AC works but the fan would make it 10x better. This place is close to capital. Make sure to get free tickets ahead of time for most places too.

Beautifully decorated studio with everything you’ll need. We absolutely loved our stay here. The location is perfect, within walking distance to the U.S. Capitol, good restaurants. We’d stay here again when we come back to DC next time!
