A very charming cabin with shaded parking and backyard opening to good view! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the thoughtful amenities provided for guests. The cabin is beautifully appointed, offering a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. Its location is perfect—just a short distance to Sequoia National Park—making our daily excursions incredibly convenient and beating the crowds. Janet and David are proactive to reach out and very responsive as well, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend this lovely retreat to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway near the park.

I really enjoyed my time here with my family everything is near by restaurants and river , the house was amazing Laura has so many board games and fun activities to do in the home and the jacuzzi is a plus thank you would definitely come back

Perfect spot for a getaway. You are 2-3hrs from Sequoia National Park which is definitely doable for a day trip, but honestly you can soak up all the nature you need from the house. The Trail of 100 Giants is down the road and the Cedar Slope Brew is well worth the trip. We enjoyed the remote location and nights under the stars sitting by the fire pit on the porch! Denis was responsive to messages quickly and the WiFi works well, allowed for multiple people to work remote with ease.

Absolutely stunning. From the pictures and description, I thought there was no way it could be that good, but it actually blew away my expectations. Beautiful location, views, and scenery. I will be coming here every single year moving forward. It had everything I was looking for and more. If you want to escape the city and connect with nature, you will have a hard time finding a better place than this. Also, the hosts were extremely helpful and responsive throughout the whole trip. Cannot say enough how amazing this cabin and location is!!! The pictures do not do the creek justice and the sounds.....heavenly. Expect a symphony of frogs and bubbling creek sounds - it's truly an oasis. Thoughtful in all the amenities (cast iron pan, seasonings, games etc.) and within quick driving distance to Kernville (check out Something Sweeter, cutest ice cream place!) or to fishing and other Lake Isabella/Wofford Heights spots. Robyn is super communicative and had all kinds of suggestions for things to do and what was going on that weekend. We will 100% be back and were sad to go!

Gabby was a fantastic host and was so kind with all of the amazing recommendations. We loved our cozy stay at Cabin Grim before going into our strenuous couple days of backpacking. Wanted to note, we did book with plans of visiting Sequoia National Park and did not realize how lengthy the drive would be (3 hours each way) which was a fault of our own lol. It was a very scenic drive and we loved the area!

We had the most incredible few days here! The hot tub was incredible after long days of hiking. On the last night, we had a little bonfire on the water and stargazed as the fire died out. It was perfect. We also loved watching the lizards, hummingbirds, and squirrels play outside while we sat in the reading nook!

Great stay, in a beautiful location. We stayed here for a family get together with kids and it was great, accommodations for each family member. Definitely recommend to stay here if you want to disconnect and be able to enjoy your time with each other. Jim and Karen were great hosts, any questions or concerns we had they responded to quickly and effectively. 5/5 stay, will be back.

Charming cabin situated in a sequoia forest community. Kathe was flexible, friendly and attentive. Our family thoroughly enjoyed every moment. We’ll be back!

If you want to stay in the peace and quiet of beautiful nature, but you don’t want to sacrifice your personal comfort, this is a great option for you! John’s place was family-friendly, kid-friendly and dog-friendly! We truly loved our stay here and would definitely recommend it to others and return. Thank you John!

We first stayed at this cabin in January 2019 and I’ve been wanting to revisit ever since. I cannot believe somehow 6 years passed! Our second visit over this weekend was even better than the first and the cabin was just as charming and cozy as I remember it. The beds are really comfy, and the lack of solid cell service makes it a perfect place to disconnect and enjoy the huge DVD, VHS, and record collection, Thanks so much, Niel! Can’t wait to visit again.

Super cozy and clean cabin- exactly as described. It is definitely remote and make sure you follow the recommendations about stopping for food and things before getting onto the mountain- it takes awhile to drive back into town despite not being too far (mile-wise). We did stop at the general store down the road for a few random things and it was expensive. Very peaceful and lots of space for our family of five. The younger kids particularly LOVED the loft space and the swing. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful spacious cabin with incredible views! This was a perfect secluded getaway and close to hiking trails. We enjoyed our stay here.

We loved staying at this beautiful place! We had everything we needed there. Beds are super comfortable:) Every bedroom has a balcony. Close to Sequoia National Park. Highly recommend this place.

We really enjoyed our one-night stay in this house. It was easy to get to, nice and clean, comfy beds and living space. We didn't prepare any meals (just coffee in the morning), so I can't speak to that. Very close to the downtown area, which was great. We would love to go back to Kernville and would definitely love to stay here again!

This was an amazing deal for what we paid me. My husband, my two boys, my mom and my dad all stayed here and it was perfect. It is deep in the forest and super peaceful. Upon arrival. It was really clean. It was amazing. We had a perfect time.

We really loved rafting and cooling off in the Kern River during the day and climbing the road back up here to the forest for our weekend nights. Dream weekend.

Great place to stay for a quiet retreat in the Sequoia National park.

Karen’s place was beautiful! It was very comfortable and well-stocked with anything we might need. It was the perfect little getaway with close proximity to the Kern River. We appreciated Karen’s quick response to any questions we had. We will be back!

Ponderosa was a really beautiful small community and the cabin was perfect for a couple. Casey was quickly responsive when I asked questions and gave some local recommendations for hikes and swimming.

Paul’s cabin was just what we needed to getaway from the city life. My son was able to relax and get a great sense of “slowing down” with his family. My sisters and I have already spoken about returning to the cabin very soon for a nature reset. The cabin felt like home as soon as you walk-in. There was firewood ready to burn, and all of the amenities we needed for a perfect weekend escape.
