beautiful little cottage , close to one of the only convenience stores in the area … close to most sightseeings . it has everything in the house you may need specially a bunch of coffee options to select from. loved it!!!

We had a great stay! The house has a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and the location is incredibly quiet — perfect for a relaxing getaway. We loved the fireplace and the hot tub, they made our evenings extra special. There’s also a store, a bar, and a gas station nearby, which was very convenient. The view from the house is beautiful too! A couple of things to keep in mind: Sequoia National Park is about a 2-hour drive away, and as other guests mentioned, the beds could be better — the frames are smaller than the mattresses and quite squeaky, which made it a bit tricky to sleep comfortably. Also, the house itself is a bit smaller than it looks in the pictures. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would recommend it!

Really nice cabin, perfect for our family getaway from city life. Nearest convenience store was 30 mins by car so pack accordingly to avoid needing to travel out much! However, nearby towns were filled with friendly people. Super peaceful with breathtaking sights everywhere.

Absolutely stunning. From the pictures and description, I thought there was no way it could be that good, but it actually blew away my expectations. Beautiful location, views, and scenery. I will be coming here every single year moving forward. It had everything I was looking for and more. If you want to escape the city and connect with nature, you will have a hard time finding a better place than this. Also, the hosts were extremely helpful and responsive throughout the whole trip. Gabby was a fantastic host and was so kind with all of the amazing recommendations. We loved our cozy stay at Cabin Grim before going into our strenuous couple days of backpacking. Wanted to note, we did book with plans of visiting Sequoia National Park and did not realize how lengthy the drive would be (3 hours each way) which was a fault of our own lol. It was a very scenic drive and we loved the area!

Three generation family trip to Sequoia. Hosts were so kind providing some extras for our granddaughter. They also helped us celebrate our 43 anniversary with a surprise! Very interested in making sure we had what we needed and responsive to our questions. River is very close by and we had two days of fun there. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay and great hosts. Highly recommend. Nice outdoor area to enjoy after dinner, wildlife to watch. Love this place and would certainly stay again!

We had the most incredible few days here! The hot tub was incredible after long days of hiking. On the last night, we had a little bonfire on the water and stargazed as the fire died out. It was perfect. We also loved watching the lizards, hummingbirds, and squirrels play outside while we sat in the reading nook!

Katherine's place made for a great hub for us to explore Sequoia and Kings Canyon while we stayed there. She was a great host and very responsive. We're already talking about another trip back for next year!

Super cozy and clean cabin- exactly as described. It is definitely remote and make sure you follow the recommendations about stopping for food and things before getting onto the mountain- it takes awhile to drive back into town despite not being too far (mile-wise). We did stop at the general store down the road for a few random things and it was expensive. Very peaceful and lots of space for our family of five. The younger kids particularly LOVED the loft space and the swing. Would definitely stay again!

Ponderosa was a really beautiful small community and the cabin was perfect for a couple. Casey was quickly responsive when I asked questions and gave some local recommendations for hikes and swimming.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy retreat! The scenic drive leading up to the property was breathtaking, and it’s just a short walk to a peaceful creek. We enjoyed spotting deer, hearing birds chirp, and watching squirrels in the area – such a nice touch of nature. The place was exactly as described – warm, comfortable, and equipped with all the amenities we needed. The patio and deck provided the perfect spot to relax outdoors. It was incredibly tranquil and peaceful, ideal for a getaway. Just a heads-up: you'll need to take your trash with you, as there's no onsite disposal. Highly recommend for a restful escape!

We had an amazing weekend at the cabin! Josh was very quick to respond to any questions we had. The house was wonderful for my family (husband, myself, dog and our 16 month old daughter). The recommendations from Josh and previous guests were great! Tons of trails and fun places to explore!

We had a nice 2-night stay. Beds were comfortable. Showers worked well. Kitchen well stocked. We bought all groceries we would need in Bakersfield. There is a small grocery/restaurant very close, but we didn't go in. It's a nice 45 minute drive to the closest site in Sequoia: Trail of 100 Giants. The only issue (and it is general to the area and not specific to this cabin) is that there is no cell service in the area. Coming from the west, we lost it about Ducor, and didn't regain it until we returned to that point. Just be aware in case you need to communicate with anyone by means other than through WiFi at the cabin (which worked fine). The specific issue I had was that text-based or cell-call two-factor authentication is not possible.

So my family and I decided to visit Kings Canyon and Sequoia Park during my son's spring break. I had an amazing time at this location. My son loved the foosball table that was available, and we made sure to use the fireplace and grill, both of which were in excellent working order. I would recommend this place. The host was extremely kind, understanding, and accommodating.

Perfect location and an amazing cabin! It had everything we needed and more. The refrigerator had butter, mayo, mustard, and an assortment of other condiments. It was clean and nothing was expired. The cabinets also had soup, chili, beans, ramen, etc. There was plenty of storage space for our groceries and we had fun with the outside refigerator on the porch. The books in the cabin were filled with interesting information about Wilsonia as well as both parks. We loved reading so much helpful information. ALL the beds were comfortable. I even slept outside on a bunkbed. Really impressed that it had clean sheets and a blanket too! Every detail was included and we appreciated things like bathroom essentials (soap, shampoo, conditioner). There were extra pillows, blankets, and fans when we needed them. Loved the backyard fire pit (although we were too tired to make a fire). We enjoyed sitting outside with cushons and tablecloths. Five stars all the way. Thank you Heather!!

This place was an amazing retreat for me and my daughter meeting up with my brother, his wife and 12 year old. We cooked/grilled all of our meals from home in the extremely well stocked kitchen which also had a few basic spices which was nice. Any utensil or pots and pans you might possibly need are all there. The outside areas were peaceful and so relaxing. The town was just a few minutes away if you needed anything and we took a white water rafting trip super close to us which was convenient. Just a few miles to Sequoia National Park. Our stay at this cabin was very enjoyable! The aesthetic qualities of the space were well matched with the natural beauty that surround it. This is a great base camp to visit many of Sequoia National Forest's incredible outdoor recreation opportunities. Our family also enjoyed the variety of games when we weren't out exploring. The host included thoughtful, thorough directions for every situation.

For someone born and raised on a prairie, this little spot was a quaint slice of heaven. Settled on a hilltop above orange trees, immersed in pure silence. The only reminder of another person is the view of city lights below at night. My kids watched baby birds, found tadpoles and dragonflies. I found my home essentials in a small window-filled house. We loved this spot.

We had a great stay. Close to Sequoia while being away from the crowds. Clean, quiet, and beautiful cabin. 10/10

This was the perfect place to stay while visiting Sequoia and King’s Canyon. Quiet, friendly, and an easy drive right to the parks!

We stayed here while on a road trip to see Sequoia National Park. It was a little longer of a drive than we expected but the house was great for our group. The kids had lots of games to play, a beautiful outdoor yard, kitchen was wonderfully stocked, lots of little touches made it feel like home. Lisa was very easy to get ahold of. We enjoyed our visit.
