Cabin holiday rentals in Butternut

Beautiful location, quiet can see so many stars at night. We went in the Spring as we wanted to visit state parks in northern Wisconsin. Couldn’t have asked for a better place.

Hannah’s place was gorgeous, comfortable, functional and clean. The location was amazing for nature lovers although we were just as happy relaxing at the house! I definitely plan to return in the future because we had such a great experience.

Awesome host! Was only there for a quick visit with coworkers but this would be a PERFECT retreat for an outdoorsy family. Will book again!

This place was perfect for a girl’s cabin weekend! It has everything you’d want from the adorable interior, to the outdoor space with fire pit, dock, floaties, hot tub, games in the garage, etc. Chelsea was very responsive and provided us with all the info we needed up front. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Everything was incredible. The place is as it looks in the photos, super clean and comfortable. Everything works perfectly and with details that are appreciated. The area is quiet but close to everything. The host was very cool and always attentive. We feel at home. We would come back without thinking about it!

We had a wonderful stay. I was looking for something remote, peaceful, and quiet to unplug with my husband. It was exactly that. The hosts had excellent communication and answered us promptly with the few questions we had. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. They requested any recommendations or suggestions which shows they care about their guests. I would certainly stay again.

We rented both sides and it worked great for two families. Two kitchens and two living rooms when you have 4 kids makes everything easier. The hot tub was a big hit with the kids and the walking distance to the hill was a bonus. We would definitely rent this place again!

Dan’s location was the perfect setting for a great vacation… Kasomo lake is private, quiet, relaxing and very beautiful! His cottage is comfortable, quaint and contains everything you need to get away yet feel like you are home. Dan was beyond helpful and responsive. We are already planning an Autumn vacation back to Dan’s. If you need some rest/play in Vilas county, this is your place!

Cozy, quiet cabin in the trees. Loved the closeness of the water. Had a bonfire every night. Tracy is super prepared and responsive. Great place!

We loved our stay on Turtle Lake at Lindsey’s place. We had 4 adults and 2 dogs. It was exactly like the photos and descriptions, spotlessly clean kitchen and bathrooms with cozy bedrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a number of meals. The grill had extra propane just in case. We took advantage of renting their brand new pontoon and enjoyed sunsets on the lake. The property was private and perfect for relaxing with our pups. All of the toiletries, soap, garbage bags, and cleaning supplies were well stocked which made it so easy to enjoy a week long stay without having to run to the store. We will definitely be back and hope to enjoy their home again next year! Thank you Lindsey & Jamie!

Jesse’s place was excellent! This is by far the best Airbnb experience I have had. The place is beautiful and spotless. Location is great- right by the water! Jesse was very communicative and their guide for how to use everything in the house + local recommendations was very proactive and well-made. I feel like they thought of everything! SO well stocked. We would be happy to stay here again next year. Highly recommend Jesse’s place!!

Everything was exactly as described. A great destination for 4 wheeling. ATV or UTV, casual and challenging trails in the area.

We so enjoyed our stay at Corey's lakefront cabin! The cabin itself is so well built and has been recently remodeled. It's a family cabin and you truly felt like you are staying in someone's well stocked home. All the little extras you need for cooking (oils and SO many spices) and more. The bed was comfy and the surroundings were so quiet and peaceful. Located just under a half hour from town and close to the end of a long road, there was absolutely no traffic. We so enjoyed long evening walks and seeing the deer scamper through the forest. But you didn't have to leave the cabin to see deer as they made daily visits. Our favorite spot was out on the dock where the sunsets were often mirrored on the water and you could hear the loons calling at night. It truly is a special place!

A great house and an amazing host! The location and space was exactly what we were looking for. A personalized welcome and fresh eggs are hard to top and were very thoughtful and appreciated.

This was my second stay at Hart Haven, it was so nice the first time that I knew I wanted to see if it was available for this trip. Emily and Derek are wonderful hosts! The home is always so inviting and homey. Very clean (and I'm a picky person) and they have thought of everything you could need for your stay away from home. So peaceful and relaxing. I will definitely be checking the availability of Hart Haven for my future stays in Iron River. Thank you Emily and Derek!

Absolutely amazing! We went on a road trip with two friends and spent two nights at Dreamwood. Our goal was to find a secluded place—and this was exactly it. It was a rare and unforgettable experience! Everything was perfect: we found ourselves completely alone, surrounded by nature—an ideal setting to disconnect, recharge, and take our time. The cabin is located right in the Porkies, so hiking trails are just a short drive away. There’s also private access to a quiet beach and the views are absolutely breathtaking—especially at sunset. Tom and Sol were lovely and available when needed. We’ll definitely be back!

Little Sisu was exactly what we expected! Peaceful, comfy, beautiful surroundings! Jesse was very responsive to any questions and concerns. The cabin had everything we needed and more. We will definitely be back, hopefully in the fall once the sauna is finished!

We can’t say enough good things about our visit! We’ve stayed at many rental homes and this is one of the best, if not the best! Very comfortable and nicely appointed with everything you could need, super clean and organized (and I’m picky about clean), gorgeous location on our favorite chain of lakes, very helpful host and nice value for the rate. We hope to go back again next year! Highly recommend!

Craig and Heidi were great hosts. They were quick to respond with answers if we had questions and even offered up some good fishing info. The cabin was perfect for our family fishing trip. We all loved the great view of the lake from the cabin. The fire pit was close the cabin and the kids enjoyed making s’mores and roasting marshmallows. The weather was a bit cold and rainy which made the fishing a little tough, but we did catch a few walleyes right from the dock. The lake has Moxi Lounge on the lake which we took our boat to a few times. The staff were really nice and they have fancy NA drinks for the kids served with candy. All in all we had a great time. Would definitely stay again.
