Cottage holiday rentals in Busserolles

For a few days we were able to enjoy the beauty and comfort of this cottage, located in the heart of a very charming area, as well as the kindness of its owners, Kenneth and Jan. We would highly recommend it and will gladly stay again.

We had the pleasure of staying in one of Meg and Mark’s gîtes with our 2 teenage daughters for 4 nights. I had no hesitation in booking the gite having seen how beautiful it looked on the website and reading the glowing reviews both on the website and on Airbnb. On arrival we received a warm welcome from Meg and Mark who showed us around the gîte and the grounds. The gîte itself is just beautiful. It is absolutely spotless and exceptionally well equipped. The beds were super comfortable made even better by the high quality bedding. The grounds and gardens are very well kept and the pool is stunning with great views of the surrounding countryside - it was a big hit as was the hot tub in our private garden! To top it off, Meg and Mark are the most fantastic warm, friendly and welcoming hosts but always respectful of our privacy. Thank you Meg and Mark for a truly memorable few days and for your fantastic hospitality. Chez Lussaud is an absolute gem and is a credit to you!

Really lovely and cosy place. It was nice and cool inside which was a great bonus for us as it was a very hot weekend. Julien and Marine were friendly hosts.

A lovely gite in a wonderful rural location but with good road access for exploring the area. A really well equipped kitchen and as we like to cook when on holiday this was especially appreciated. Nice downstairs space in particular with simply the best woodburner we have seen. Very responsive and friendly relaxed hosts. Recommended all round.

What a fabulous gite in a wonderful location to explore the best of the Dordogne. 10 minutes from Terrasson, a beautiful old town on the river, spoilt for choice for great restaurants… or simple chilled evenings taking in the views. Jenny (& Fleur) is the perfect host, going above and beyond to ensure you have a perfect stay. Not intrusive but if you a fancy a glass of wine she will be on hand! (thank you for ours) We would return in a heartbeat and hopefully soon. Would highly recommend.

Had the most perfect stay here. Samantha and Jamie were the best hosts so welcoming and unbelievably kind. Highly recommend to anybody can’t fault the home and hosts! Home was gorgeous just like the photos it was so picturesque and peaceful we loved it. The surrounds are gorgeous and so are the neighbouring towns. Perfect hosts and perfect home can’t fault a thing.

Perfect accommodation, full of amenities for good cooking ;) Garden and great panoramic terrace, the river nearby and exchanges with Dorothée very easy throughout the stay. Great!

We had a great time at Amanda and David's with our friends. Amanda and David are very caring and friendly hosts. The house is very well-equipped. The decor is thoughtful. The rooms are spacious and pleasant. The pool is very beautiful. A very nice garden with ping pong table for the kids. Super quiet environment. We were also able to taste good pizzas made by David and Amanda. We are delighted with our stay.

We had a lovely stay at Alicja and Micheal. Very welcomed as soon as we arrived . Both are very easy going and approachable. Always there to help. Gite was very clean and had everything you to self cater.

We were met by his beautiful dogs on arrival making us feeling immediately welcome, followed by Gideon who welcomed us like we were part of the family. Gideon and his wife couldn’t have done enough, always being around for a chat, or just for a quick wave and smile. This truly is the most peaceful and beautiful setting to escape the reality of city life. The house its self was beautiful with vaulted ceilings and exposed original brick, they have got the perfect balance of rustics and contemporary. We couldn’t fault a thing and whoever gets to stay here next, is sure to love it just as much as we did!

What a lovely stay with wonderful hosts. We were visiting for a wedding at Chateau La Durantie, and I am so glad we came across Michael’s place. Michael reached out in advance of our stay to align on our check-in time, and sent over many helpful recommendations for restaurants and activities during our stay. David greeted us upon arrival to give us a tour and answer any questions, and left a bottle of wine and some treats. Michael followed-up shortly after to give us more history and to see if there was anything we needed. The location itself is serene next to a river, and the house couldn’t have been nicer. It was squeaky clean, and the showers seemed new. We took advantage of the kitchen amenities to prep our meals and didn’t run into any trouble. As another reviewer shared, they are in the process of building a pool which will be great for families. We will definitely be back.

We had a great time. The house was perfectly as described, very well-equipped, very clean. Sandra and Vincent take great care of their guests. Very peaceful place. We highly recommend!

A house with heart and soul We have only been home for a few days and already miss the Jacotka, Gérard and the cozy cottage. Thanks to the warm welcome, we immediately felt at home. The gite is lovingly decorated, lots of wood, stylish lamps, beautiful cabinet that Jaqueline painted herself, comfortable beds and great, embroidered bed linen. Large, covered terrace overlooking the greenery, simply perfect. The hosts are very warm people, we were even lucky to have an aperitif with them, we will never forget the friendly evening. There are two very good restaurants nearby, La Douzième Heure and Le Cilaos. The area is very rural, the villages very beautiful. A true paradise for lovers of castles. The delicious jams from Jacotka (own production) have sweetened our great holiday. We recommend the accommodation 100 percent. Thank you, dear friends, and see you sometime ❤️ Your Janusz and Aldona

It was the experience that we were looking for.

The house is very nice and spacious, the location is also very convenient with a local supermarket within walking distance. Beautiful scenery around. The host was always reachable online to answer our questions. We had a very pleasant stay there and would recommend this place for families.

The moulin is a very original and comfortable accomodation. the ground floor is the moulin at the first and second floors is the living areas. the three bedrooms are very well fitted and so are the two bathrooms. the kitchen is well equipped. there is also a living room and a balcony. the stay has been very enjoyable overall. the real highlight in terms of activities is the Charente river where you can swim and kayak / canoe in season. the only downsides of our stay have been: the kitchen was not super clean (fridge, glasses, oven etc); the village has absolutely nothing: no stores, no cafes, no restaurant you need to drive to the next door village for everything (7 mins each way); the terrace is nice but has no sunlight in case you want to sunbathe... overall i would go back in the nice season.

A cottage in every way faithful to its description. If you like nature, flowers, and tranquility, this is an ideal address. We especially thank our hosts for their warm welcome and discretion. A very short stay but one that makes you want to come back. Hélène and Jean-Pierre

What can I say! Katie and Matt's hospitality is exceptional. They were super flexible and met all our needs without us even having to ask. The small meals and breakfasts are a real plus, very appreciable, and it was delicious. A welcome that we will not forget. We will be back!
