Pinetree Cottage, Trossachs, Callander,

AlisonRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Pine Tree Cottage is a beautiful, traditional stone built cottage that has been sympathetically updated with excellent outdoor facilities. Situated in a beautiful part of the Trossachs, next to Loch Venachar - perfect to enjoy the many things to do in the area. We loved it. All the furniture is high quality- loads of equipment in the kitchen with really nice touches, (sandwich toaster, griddle, etc) and well supplied with cutlery & cooking gear. The bed was great with a firm mattress & lovely linen. The shower was excellent and the bathroom had a lovely antique bath, but what really makes the cottage special is the covered outside decking and summer house- so cosy and perfect to enjoy the fabulous views even with a spot of Scottish drizzle. Emma is a great host, friendly and communicated clearly, checking in with helpful advice. Thank you Emma for a fabulous stay. We will definitely return. It was a really memorable holiday x

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Lodge. The Lodge itself was exactly as it is pictured and exceeded our expectations. The views were incredible and we would love to come back and stay again. A truly lovely weekend break.

The Retreat Hut

AndrewRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was an unforgettable place to stay. Where else can you have your own stone circle, jetty and a rock with Neolithic carvings? The location is right next to the loch with a stunning uninterrupted views. We sat on the veranda which is dry in all weathers and watched the changing light and teeming birdlife: there were swifts, swallows, geese, swans, wagtails and an oystercatcher... It is a wild and private retreat, but the internet is brilliant, the kitchen and shower function well. We were warm and cosy at night. We will dream about coming back!

Cosy Shepard’s hut with beautiful views

ThomasRating, 5 stars2 days ago
A wonderful place to relax in the peace and quiet of Perthshire's beautiful countryside. Hamish and Liberty are wonderful hosts who make you feel right at home. The hike up the hill is a must, and expected to be joined by their lovely labrador Bracken! The shepherd's hut itself has everything you could possibly need and is warm and cosy especially if it rains most of the night like it did for us!

Cottage close to forests, lochs & hills

DerekRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I was staying at Hilary's house for work and my wife travelled with me. The house was excellent and looked like it had been recently refurbished to a high standard. This house is convenient for walking and hiking and almost within the Lomond and Trossachs national park. It is convenient for Loch Katrine. The only downside is the midges, if visiting please take the necessary midge repellent.

The Chavan, in the Trossachs National Park

SimonRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Roger’s caravan / chalet was the perfect space for a peaceful holiday surrounded by some of the most beautiful walks and trails I’ve ever seen. The chavan was spacious and easily fit our group of three (2 adults and a child) without feeling cramped. The log fire kept us cosy at night and all the amenities - shower, cooker, oven etc - had been well thought through and worked perfectly. Roger has clearly put a huge amount of effort into making the place feel welcoming. Having no phone signal and hardly any internet was great and allowed us to connect with the surroundings and each other. It was excellent being able to walk out the chavan and have beautiful trails on our doorstep, with the added option of further walks for all abilities within short driving distances. Nearby Callander provided decent, affordable food but we could easily cook meals in the chavan and chill out in front of the fire. Roger was hospitable and helpful throughout and we were well looked after.
