Lovely home from home. There's everything you need for a short stay. The location is great for both walks and town centre. The added bonus of the parking scratch card meant one less thing to think about. Julia's comunucation was great, answered all the questions we had. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Perfect view of the sea and the entrance to the harbour. You can sit in the lounge window watching the sea, boats, etc. all day. It's next door to the train/model shop right in the town. Useful shops like onestop, M&S, Boots, etc are easily walkable as is the beach front arcades etc. Many, many, fish and chips shops walkable. The flat was perfectly clean and modern decoration. Extra glazing on the bedroom blocked most noise from the road. Bathroom is small but the shower is very strong and it was perfectly clean.

Myeslf, my wife and 3 kids(10,8 & 3) stopped here for two nights and were very happy with the accommodation The views from the apartment were absolutely stunning being right on the seafront. Its a great location with the harbour only 5 minutes walk away too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!

We had a lovely few days at The Sands, lovely apartment, it had everything you would need, amazing views and fantastic location.

This is a comfortable flat with lovely views over the river Esk. Easy to walk into the centre of Whitby with plenty of pubs and restaurants close by. It was well equipped, clean and tidy. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great location with parking. Lovely space and views. Within walking distance to town centre with restaurants close by. Ideal living space and the rooms were a good size with lots of storage. The kitchen had everything you needed and you could tell the whole place had been well cleaned before arrival. The host was quick to respond to queries. I will recommend to friends and family and would stay here again.

we took our friends to hull for there first time and Derek's place was absolutely amazing it's in the perfect spot to visit around the marina and around old town we had an amazing weekend and will definitely be back to Derek's place if it's available if I could give more stars we definitely woul thank you Derek for letting your apartment to us we had a super weekend 😀

Beautiful home where we immediately felt at home. Everything was very clean, and the fact that things like milk, coffee, tea and wine were provided made it just complete. Diane also provided great suggestions for restaurants, which we all tried and completely agreed that they are good places to eat. If we come back to this area, we will definitely try to book this place again.

A super cottage in a beautiful , peaceful location overlooking the river. The cottage was comfortable, well equipped and very spacious for 4 adults. Cara was a responsive and helpful host. The location is perfect for getting to Whitby, the NE coast or the North Yorkshire Moors. We walked into Whitby on the beautiful riverside path, accessible and only 35 mins. We happily recommend.

Wow! What an amazing place this is. Just as seen on the pictures. Beautifully furnished, the hosts have thought of everything you might need for your stay. The location is right on the beach with access to Filey and other places only a short drive away. Vanda is a great host. She was really flexible with our requests for extra time to check out and responds quickly. We will be back!

Booked this for my partners birthday, we had the most amazing stay, everything was exactly like the pictures, Lucy was very welcoming and was very friendly! We had the most beautiful stay and we will definitely be booking again!! There is an amazing restaurant just down the road called the gatsby, we had food and drinks here food was delicious and service was excellent. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend a special day, had a lovely homely feel!

We had such a lovely stay. The accommodation is like a home from home, it’s really cosy with a lovely design and little touches. The photos of the garden on the listing don’t do it justice. It’s a large garden area which is fully secure, meaning we didn’t have to worry about our dogs escaping. We were welcomed with some fresh bread and shortbread and there were balls and bowls for the dogs. The location is great for exploring Whitby, Robins hood bay etc. We got some meat from the local butchers and it was delicious! Would recommend going there too. We would love to stay here again! We didn’t want to leave.

Absolutely brilliant, the accommodation was superb. Comfortable, clean, and have all we needed. Location was ideal for us and suited our plans. our host was readily available but respectful of our privacy. Highly recommend and a perfect introduction to ABNB.

We had a lovely stay in monkeypowder. We loved the layout with the bedrooms downstairs and living area on the ground floor. The living room has great sea views and an area to sit and lookout. There is a huge comfortable sofa and great wallpaper of a view of Scarborough. The kitchen is modern and well equipped and a great space to enjoy a meal together. The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds and a modern ensuite. The apartment was spotlessly clean and we loved the quirky furniture. Free parking was a bonus and a great location to explore Scarborough.

The apartment was perfect. The Juliet balcony was a perfect view out onto the marina. Although it’s close to the road, you hear the birds much more than the traffic. The inside of the apartment was impeccable. The information pack, is so well thought out. The beds and linen were like being in a top hotel. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Hull. By far the best place we have stayed. Thank you Simon & Jules.

What a lovely apartment so nice and welcoming, everything you could need with little tastful gestures. It is in a nice quiet area but only a short walk to onsite pub and beach. We had such a fantastic time will definately return x

The apartment is well situated, easy to find & has a designated parking space. It overlooks the river, & the walk into Whitby takes about 15minutes. The accommodation is clean, uncluttered, well equipped, and the bedding and towels are pristine. We highly recommend it.

Thank you for an wonderful stay. The view is beautiful from the living room. The apartment itself was clean, tidy and of generous size. The beds are comfortable, which helps with the amount of walking we did. Richard has made the apartment a home from home with everything you need!! We always forget something, this time is was a toothbrush charger and there was one to use in the bathroom. It is one of the best air b&b we have stayed at, we cannot wait to return. The gardens opposite were lovely to walk around before heading into town. It's a short drive down to Bempton cliffs, Filey (highly recommend cjs for fish & chips) and Cayton bay. The coffee van called Nova outside the apartment was perfect for when we needed a barista style drink. 9am flat white, the kids loved their milkshakes and the owner was super lovely 😀. It was perfect and we didn't want to leave! there is only 1 small negative and that's the pigeons squarking away from 5am every morning on the metal balcony. 😬

This accommodation was exactly as described and as the photos portrayed. It couldn’t be any closer to the seafront and close to all shops, promenade, fun fair, amusements and other local attractions. It was perfect. Free parking nearby (no more than 2-3 minute walk), but no issue at all. Great communication from the owner all day on check in to ensure he was present to hand over the keys and again on check out. The accommodation itself was lovely. Really nicely decorated throughout with the bathroom and kitchen being exceptional. You really don’t need to bring anything to the Air B&B apart from some clothes and yourself. All cutlery that was needed was present and the access to Netflix and other tv channels was a great addition. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone and if we ever visit again, will definitely see if this accommodation is available first.
