We loved the house and the amenities. The kids loved the pool and the lake. Host was very nice and offered a list of places to eat and things to do during our stay. Would definitely return and recommend.

Our family enjoyed our stay. We all enjoyed the pool, it felt so nice on those hot days. Got in some great fishing while we were there.

We had a large group of 11 adults and 4 kids, and this house had plenty of room for us, and lots to keep us entertained. Three of the bedrooms in the main house were very large with nice, attached bathrooms. Between all of the activities in the detached garage, cornhole boards and the pool, the kids (and adults, really) were always occupied. We rented the pontoon as well and loved it! Beautiful sunset views from the dock. We were happy to have the heated pool.. with it getting so chilly at night, the pool water would have been way too cold to enjoy without the heater. We had no issues with the hot tub, got a lot of use out of that as well! Neighbors were pleasant, but they did have a very loud tractor out doing yardwork before 7am on a Saturday that woke the whole house up. Their dog also kept coming over to the pool gates, barking, wanting to come in. Which didn't bother us personally, but something worth mentioning. Sean was friendly and responsive to questions, we would come back!

We are enjoyed our stay and the home was perfect for our large family. We appreciate the complimentary coffee and s’mores. We found several fun games to play. Would definitely recommend this home.

Wow! We absolutely loved our stay here. From past experience with other AirBNBs we were definitely overpacked for our trip. The kitchen has everything you could need!! Seasonings galore! All kinds of utensils! The smoker/grill was awesome and easy to use, and all materials needed to maintain it were close by. It was a little rainy the first few days, but we loved watching the rain from the sun room. The space was super clean inside the house, smelled amazing, and while we only used the main part of the house (it was just two of us) we can easily see ourselves coming back with a bigger group! Bed was comfy, instructions for check out were clear, and the scenery was just beautiful. Fishing from the kayaks was an added treat (we did bring our own rods) We are so excited to find another time to come back and enjoy some time here!!

What a fantastic stay for our family and kids! Our host was super responsive throughout our visit, which made everything so easy. This Airbnb definitely earns its 5-star rating for a memorable getaway. Just a couple of heads-up for future guests: If you're bringing a wake boat, be aware the boat access is quite shallow, so it might not be suitable for larger boats. Also, as expected with a lakeside property, there were mosquitoes. We knew they'd be around, but these were particularly robust! Definitely pack your best bug spray and some strong after-bite cream – you'll thank us later. Despite the monster mosquitoes and boat access, we had a wonderful time!

Nice place for a weekend getaway, the backyard is huge with a private pool, basketball court, and playground. Only complaints were the pool lights didn’t work and the grill was really dirty.

This was a great house to celebrate Thanksgiving with our family. the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to put on a big family dinner. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The dock was nice and provided a beautiful scene. It was too cold to take advantage of the lake, but the view was great. My suggestion to you if you plan on staying here is bring everything you need... closest store or restaurant is more than 20 minutes away.

We absolutely loved being there. The house is recently renovated, clean and inviting. The dock is great and the host is generous in letting people use their equipment such as a kayak and paddle board. It is a great place to relax.

It was spur of the moment for our 17th anniversary. Wasn’t looking for anything fancy or Lake Gaston type pricing. It was perfect. Cute little place. HUGE screen porch was amazing which we hung out there every day till late night having wine and playing cards. You can walk out straight to the water and go approx. 75-100’ waste high. Everything was clean, fully stocked…. Just an amazing experience for us! Would highly recommend if you want a waterfront place with great water access with no one around!! Thanks Renee. Well definitely be staying again, lovely place off the beaten path. With so much privacy, quiet with lovely farm animals to look at.

We had a great time. We wished the water access was a little different but we found some boat ramps and water access areas within a couple miles from the home so it worked out for us. The house was great and clean.

We had a wonderful Friendsgiving at this house. It’s renovated tastefully and we loved it. The hosts are very friendly and responsive. We had a great stay!

We had family coming in for our wedding and needed extra space due to some last minute changes. Our family had nothing but positive things to say about Sarah’s home. It was beautiful, spotless, and everyone had plenty of space. They were very responsive and kind, and even informed us that we could check in earlier than expected. It was a great stay! The Lake house has fantastic views and plenty of space for everyone to enjoy both inside and outside. The three bedrooms with on-suites are great for couples and families. The Bunk beds would be fun for kids, and having their bathroom alleviates overcrowding and excessive bathroom wait time. The bedroom and living room/game room are great for teenagers and or young adults. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, pots, pans, and other items to use and save money. Recommendation to purchase food at Food Lion and eat in! We enjoyed our family reunion at the Lake House!

4 of us guys came down for a bass tournament, was a great place to kick back relax after the tournament. Nice porch to sit on looking at the water talking about the days. Also plenty of room for both trucks and boats. We will definitely be booking again for the next tournament. Thanks so much!

Natalie & Nanette were very responsive & accommodating hosts! We had great weather for the week & we very much enjoyed the quiet location! The screened in back porch recived a lot of use from our group! I would highly recommend this place to those wanting to visit the Lake Gaston area!

This home was perfect! We needed something accessible since my husband is in a wheelchair and this was perfect. Dock was easily accessible, doors were wide enough and there was a ramp leading to the entrance. Shawn was very helpful and responsive. He made us feel welcome and like he was there for anything we may have needed. Would definitely stay here again.

We celebrated our son’s 16th birthday at the Wilde Retreat and it was such an unforgettable experience for us!. Check-in was seamless and upon walking into the house, the views of the lake from the walls of windows are breathtaking!. The home was spotless and very open and modern with tons of natural light. We rented jet skis for the days we were there, and the dock made it a breeze to store them at night. We also did a boat rental, and enjoyed driving it to the house for a picnic lunch during the day. Everything, from the breathtaking morning water views, the night stars as you lay on the "water hammock," and the beautiful home filled with all the amenities you might need made for the perfect birthday getaway! We can't wait to go back!

We had a great time as a family of 6 (5 adults and 1 child), enjoying a Thanksgiving getaway on the lake. The house itself has tons of space, very comfortable, fast Wi-Fi, and matched the descriptions, but the real highlight was the amazing views of the lake and being able to walk down to the water and the dock. We also did some stargazing at night, and actually managed to spot the Milky Way on a particularly clear night, along with way more stars than you'd typically see just 70 miles from a major metro area like the triangle. Overall would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet lakefront getaway.
