Family-friendly holiday rentals in Bovey Tracey

I stayed at Katka’s place with my 2 sisters and 2 cousins for the weekend. Katka gave us a tour of the accommodation on arrival and explained some simple rules on using the pool-spa which were very helpful . We had an absolutely fantastic time here , her place was very nice, clean and spacious for 5 people. We really enjoyed the pool-spa area , taking the covers off was a real giggle and putting them back we laughed more, so be careful. The location was excellent, just a short walk to the sea front , where we found lots of cafes . We had an evening meal at The Crab Shack which was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was really lovely and sitting looking out at the sea was a bonus. Thank you Katka for making us feel welcome, oh yeah and thank you for the cakes on our arrival, delicious 😋 Will definitely recommend your accommodation to other people and look forward to to seeing you in the future Kind regards Jane & family 🤗

Lovely cottage, had everything we needed for a great week. Well appointed kitchen and bathrooms. All the crockery, utensils and pans you need for cooking. Hot tub was certainly a favourite and well used! Nice to have plastic ‘glasses’ for use outside. Great selection of games was a nice surprise. Being able to walk the dog right from the doorstep made it so easy - we really enjoyed exploring the smallholding. Hosts were very quick to respond with answers and support. Yes, the Tesco delivery man did manage to find us and unload :-)

This has to be the best ever beachfront apartment we have stayed in. Spectacular views, spacious balcony, superbly equipped and everything worked without any hassle. The Leisure Club is an added bonus for me - brilliant pool, fitness equipment and the jacuzzi plus the outdoor terrace and restaurant with great meals, especially the (takeaway available too) fish and chips. The purpose of this trip was a holiday for my 94 year old Mother - above all the apartment was very safe/secure, accessible, the few steps to the 1st floor are manageable and the lift means getting into the apartment is easy. Totally recommend this apartment!

Gorgeous place with everything you'd want to have a cute little weekend away!! hot tub was set up so all we had to do was pull back the cover and hop right in. Kitchen had everything needed to cook whatever meals you fancy. Just a 2 minute walk away from the local and less than a 10 minute drive out to the moors.. perfect!!

Thank you we really enjoyed our stay at cedar lodge. The location and setting was stunning. The lodge was homely and well equipped.

What an amazing place! We loved the wood burner and all the possible activities: hot tub, heated swimming pool, tennis, table tennis, crash mat, kayak, trampoline , horses, goats, chickens, and much more! it's the perfect place for a holiday with the family, the whole estate is a destination in itself.

What can I say, 🤷‍♀️ the house was beautiful. Ticked all our boxes, and our host was amazing. Attentive and extremely helpful, thankyou Mark,I am sure we will be back 👏👏

We had a lovely stay here as a group of friends attending a wedding at a local venue. The house is much more spacious than the photos suggest, can’t fault our experience. Thank you Sarah for a lovely stay.

We had a lovely stay, the apartment is very comfortable and cosy. We had beautiful weather and enjoyed sitting in the garden with it's views over the Exe estuary. There are lots of nice walks in the area which was great for our two dogs. We would definitley book this Airbnb again if we want to stay in the area.

We had an amazing stay at Daisy cottage! The cottage was quietly situated and was everything we could wish for. Inside was immaculate with some lovely features with all needs catered for, including a generous welcome pack, games, and helpful information regarding our stay. Tina was extremely helpful, an asset to the rental of the cottages with excellent communication, check in was also seamless. We would highly recommend the cottage, we will certainly be staying again! The guest cottage was exactly as described. A lovely 'home from home' with some beautiful little touches that made it a special place to stay. The cottage and garden were peaceful and private and secure for our dogs. Maxine has thoughtfully laid on so many amenities in the cottage, it just made our stay so much more enjoyable. Sidbury is a small village with a convenience store/butchers and a pub, The Red Lion. Both are within a few minutes walk of the cottage. The Red Lion was super friendly with good beer and food. An excellent host and place to stay.

A really lovely week, marred only by a couple of days' rain (which of course was nobody's fault!). Taryn was extremely efficient and responsive. Barbara was charming and helpful, and explained so much about the lambing process. The house was roomy - great for a family party of nine. My granddaughter loved visiting the lambs, and even holding a newly-born lamb in her arms. Wonderful rolling hill farmland to walk the dog. Visits to the sea, Exeter and Totnes were great too. Thank you, Barbara and Taryn.

The most amazing place to stay, it was just perfect for us. Plenty of space, the comfiest beds, insane views and a great tennis court. Thank you so much Beani for everything, so quick at responding and so flexible on our check in and out process. It couldn’t have been better!

We so highly recommend Jeanette and Honeysuckle Cottage for a stay in the beautiful Devon countryside and can't wait to return. Really appreciated the cosy warm log burner already prepped to light and the comfy sofa, We were lucky enough to have a cream tea on arrival followed by a lovely walk up to Brentor Church for a panoramic view. We bought steak from Howells Butchers in Tavistock and cooked at the cottage in the compact but well equipped kitchen. Bunny rabbits on the lawn if you're up early enough.

Wir haben hier einige Tage verbracht, um Conrwall zu erkunden. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und haben möchte uns noch einmal sehr für die Gastfreundschaft und Cider, Milch und Tee bedanken, die gratis gestellt wurden. Aus den Fotos ist vielleicht nicht gleich erkennbar: Es ist ein Anbau mit Studio. Küche, Schlafzimmer und Wohnzimmer sind ein Raum. Das Bett ist etwas schmal, war für uns aber vollkommen in Ordnung. Besonders schön ist der Garten und die ruhige Lage. Man sollte auf jeden Fall ein Auto haben, sonst kommt man hier schwer weiter. Nicht weit entfernt und zu empfehlen sind das Killerton Haus (fußläufig 20 min) und das New Inn im Broadclyst (ca. 10 min mit dem Auto). Wir können die Unterkunft und Tamsyn und ihren Mann als Gastgeber nur weiterempfehlen. Es war auch sehr nett, dass wir vor Anreise auf ihren Hund hingewiesen wurden. Ich bin fremden Hunden gegenüber zurückhaltend und konnte den lieben Labrador ganz gemütlich kennenlernen.

Our stay at The Chapel was perfect. We checked in a bit earlier and were welcomed by warm, homemade bread!! The main bed is super comfy and my 14 yr old boy slept soundly in the single. The place was warm and welcoming with a spacious bathroom. The Chapel is really well soundproofed too. So quiet even though it was windy. Dartmoor Prison is on the same street but it’s empty!! Added some atmosphere for us, which we liked! So close to the moors. We drive 50 minutes to Haldon Forest and same distance for quad biking.

The host, Julie, was really helpful and responsive to our messages. Beautiful surroundings and the views from the chalet were incredible. We were visiting old friends and neighbours and it was an excellent base. The walk down into Shaldon along the golf course was convenient and stunning but be prepared for the walk back up!! The chalet had everything we needed and was really nicely decorated with comfy sofas and beds. Wish we were there longer and would love to go back.

It was an amazing stay, the place is apart of a big holiday ket that has a restaurant and spa. It exceeded expectations! All the staff at cary arms were really great and approachable. People will need to realise in advance how steep the hill is to get to the holiday homes. I had difficulty driving my car back up so Chris and Harry from the cary arms helped me out with that and I tree really appreciated it.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Priesthole Cottage. Access to the larger grounds of the main house and the heated pool were the icing on the cake. Beautiful peaceful surroundings, characterful comfortable cottage, great host in Iona, and the wonderful town/area of Stokenham & Torcross. Thank you Iona!

Emily has a lovely caravan in a quiet spot on an otherwise busy site. The caravan felt surprisingly spacious and it was great to have that second toilet available. It was also lovely and very convenient to have the shower. The site offers a lot for families with several play areas, crazy golf and swimming pools.

Milton was extremely helpful. We left a few things behind he couldn’t have been more helpful. Answered every message quickly. We felt really at home in the Lodge. Everything we needed and appreciated the fire as the weather suddenly turned cold. Thank you for all your help. We would love to stay again.

Another Great week away in Brixham and surrounding areas. We love this little place, so cosy and quiet, it`s in a great location for walking and just being away from the world. If you are thinking of staying here don`t think too long just in case someone gets it booked before you do. Have added to our Favourites list for another Future Holiday.

Thirteen of us travelled from all over the UK to celebrate my partner’s 40 th birthday ! The house is absolutely stunning as are the well maintained gardens . Swimming pool and sauna were just incredible . Beautiful towels provided as was all the bedding and great variety of room lay outs to accommodate a large and varied group. The Agga in the kitchen was great to cook on and a great source of heat as was the open log fire with lots of logs provided . Few nice touches on arrival were jam ,scone clotted cream and milk provided . Also great shower gel in each shower . Would highly recommend !
